  • U-Eco City is promoted nation-wide by development of recent IT technology, method of effective countermeasure disasters, which real-time wire/wireless communication network, and 3D-Web GIS shall be connected that massive database, intelligent service be perceived. U&V-City is the four-dimensional future city that actualizes an intelligent daily ubiquitous computing service by embodying 3D-Virtual City, the reproduction of real world U-City while using Digital map, satellite image, VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language), which are presentation tool to describe city components and by efficiently catch and cope about nature and human disasters while employing EAI(External Authoring Interface) that provides HTML&JAVA, and interface for efficient removal/process of massive information/service and also by employing GPS/LBS/Navigation in support of the world-wide orientation concept, and RTLS(Real Time Location System).

  • MPEG-4 SNHC FBA(face and body animation) group is going to standardize the MPEG-4 system for low-bit rate communication with the implementation and animation of human body and face on virtual environment. In the first version of MPEG-4 standard, only the face object will be implemented and animated by using FDP (face definition parameter) and FAP(facial animation parameter), which are the abstract parameters of human face for low-bit rate coding. In this paper, MPEG-4 SNHC face object and it's animation were implemented based on the computer graphics tools such as VRML and OpenGL.

  • We studied a model house system on cyberspace using JAVA and VRML in this paper. In the system, users can not only browse the model house using a web browser but also choose options that they want to install in the final house and the chosen options are combined with the figure of the model house on the terminal window in real time. In addition, the information of the chosen options are transferred to a database on a server machine at the construction company and the company can use the information for the customer management. The developed system can be used by a simple EC system since it includes duplex information paths.

  • Medications or conitive-behavior methods have been mainly used as a treatment of alcoholism. lately the virtualy technology has been applied to the kink of alcoholic disorders. A virtual environment makes him having avility to over come the drink. In this study, we were implemented by making panorama images and 3D object modules using 3D MAX, VRML, JAVA. And the BAR stimulator that composed with a position sensor, head mount display, and audio system, is suggested. To illustrate the physiological difference between a person who has a alcoholism and without a liquor bottle, heart rate was measured during experiment, and also measured a person's HR after the virtual reality training. The system measures the Physiological signals such as ECG, Temperature, analyzes those data automatically. The system has two parts, one is physiological data acquisition part which gets the body signal, and the other one is mobile nuit which includes signal processing and transmission functions, And Bluetooth allows two parts to communicate with each other. we demonstrated the subjective effectiveness of virtual reality psychotherapy through the clinical experiment.

  • Nucleation of a crack is readily defected by acoustic emission (AE) method. One powerful technique for AE waveform analysis has been developed as SiGMh (Simplified Greens functions for Moment tensor Analysis), as crack kinematics of locations, types and orientations are quantitatively determined. Because these kinematical outcomes are obtained as three-dimensional (3-D) locations and vectors, 3-D visualization is definitely desirable. To this end, the visualization system has been developed by using VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language). As an application, failure protest of a reinforced concrete beam is discussed.

  • 가상현실에서 사용되는 3 차원 디스플레이 방법은 크게 HMD 와 HTD 시스템으로 구분되어 연구/개발이 되고 있다. 그 중 HTD 시스템의 경우에는 일반적으로 Stereoscopic 디스플레이 방법과 흡사하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나, 그 적용면에 있어서 CRT 상의 적용은 사용자의 Perspective View 가 디스플레이 평면과 수평/수직인 것이 따라 발생하는 뒤틀림 현상과 한 사람의 사용자를 기반으로 생성된다는 점이다. 본 논문에서는 CRT 상에서 HTD 를 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 방안으로 한 사람의 사용자를 기반으로 하는 분자구조의 모델을 스테레오 HTD 시스템에 적용하여 보았다. 더불어 과학적인 데이터의 경우에 VRML 파일을 적용하였을 때의 효율성에 대하여 연구를 하였다.

  • "사랑은 움직이는 거야" 라는 광고 문구를 보면서 움직임(애니메이션)이 얼마나 중요한가를 단적으로 알수 있다. 이동성이 현대 사회에서 강조되면서 움직임의 패러다임은 인터넷과 홈페이지의 개념을 바꿔 놓았다. 플래시는 이러한 움직임을 기본으로 하고 있다. 플래시의 최대 강점은 애니메이션이며, 애니메이션은 고도의 상품 개발 자유도를 가지고 있고, 감성과정서, 오락과 문화를 제공하는 정보기술 산업 및 영상미디어 문화 산업이다. 특히 온라인 네트웍크, 디카, 컬러폰의 대중화로 애니메이션, 게임 등 문화 컨텐츠를 쉽게 접근 할 수 있는 시대가 도래되었다. 이러한 필요성에 따라서 국내 대학에서는 이와 관련된 학과들이 수없이 많이 생겨나고 있으나 아직 플래시 애니메이션과 게임 제작에 대한 컨텐츠가 미비한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 학생들이 쉽게 애니메이션과 게임을 제작할 수 있는 "MX 2004 위한 플래시 컨텐츠 제작" 모델을 제안하였다. 제안된 모델은 별도의 패키지 없이 간단하고 용이하게 사용될 수 있다. 전문가들을 위한 3D-MAX, 마야, VRML이 아니라 현재 일반 사용자들이 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 플래쉬를 이용하여 12가지 기본 방법을 제안하고 이를 게임과 애니메이션을 제작할 수 있는 제작방법 등을 수록한 모델을 설계하고 구현하였다.

A Comparative Study about Industrial Structure Feature between TL Carriers and LTL Carriers (구역화물운송업과 노선화물운송업의 산업구조 특성 비교)

  • Transportation enterprises should maintain constant and qualitative operation. Thus, in short period, transportation enterprises don't change supply in accordance with demand. In the result, transportation enterprises don't reduce operation in spite of management deficit at will. In freight transportation type, less-than-truckload(LTL) has more relation with above transportation feature than truckload(TL) does. Because freight transportation supply of TL is more flexible than that of LTL in correspondence of freight transportation demand. Relating to above mention, it appears that shortage of road and freight terminal of LTL is larger than that of TL. Especially in road and freight terminal comparison, shortage of freight terminal is larger than that of road. Shortage of road is the largest in 1990, and improved after-ward. But shortage of freight terminal is serious lately. So freight terminal needs more expansion than road, and shows better investment condition than road. Freight terminal expansion brings road expansion in LTL, on the contrary, freight terminal expansion substitutes freight terminal for road in TL. In transportation revenue, freight terminal's contribution to LTL is larger than that to TL. However, when we adjust quasi-fixed factor - road and freight terminal - to optimal level in the long run, in TL, diseconomies of scale becomes large, but in LTL, economies of scale becomes large. Consequently, it is necessary for TL to make counterplans to activate management of small size enterprises and owner drivers. And LTL should make use of economies of scale by solving the problem, such as nonprofit route, excess of rental freight handling of office, insufficiency of freight terminal, shortage of driver, and unpreparedness of freight insurance.

  • 4D system has applied to construction project as a management tool after the late 1990's. Various 4D systems have been developed, however they have some problems that should be improved. Especially, the 4D system for civil engineering project needs synthesized 3D model between natural ground condition and physical facility type. It is a different problem comparing with the system for building project. 1'his study suggests an automatically synthesizing methodology between ground triangulate network and design triangulate network. Furthermore the study develops an application methodology of multi-texturing technique defined in virtual reality modeling language (VRML) for skipping the 3D model synthesizing process from the 4D model development processes. The suggested methodology is applied to the prototype of real 4D system. The proposed technique for 3D modeling may be used as an essential methodology for developing 4D system for civil engineering projects.

  • Virtual Reality is the technique which makes the man experience the similar interaction behavior to the experience in the real world through virtual space. The users participating in the 3D virtual space using virtual reality technique can have the various experiences in the space desired without restrictions on time and space and then it has been applied in many application areas such as video industry, entertainment simulator, medical treatment, construction and design. The area of video among them has been highlighted as a high-added value industry. Therefore this study classifies video industry into four including movie, broadcasting, advertisement and internet and is to examine their characteristics, application cases and developmental potential. In the industry using virtual reality technique in video industry, it is implied for special elect in the area of movie and for providing the various graphic virtual word to audiences with the introduction of virtual studio and character in the area of broadcasting. It can give audiences a synergy effect by inserting 3D advertisement into virtual space in the area of advertisement. Also the implementation of 3D virtual reality such as virtual museum, virtual model house, virtual home shopping and entertainment on the web is possible with the emergence of Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) and it plays the roles of more entertainments. Accordingly, this study is to seek the application methods using virtual reality technique in video industry.
