간호대학생의 봉사활동 특성에 따른 욕구충족, 사회성, 전공만족도 연구 (A Study on College Nursing Students' Volunteering Activities, Volunteering Motivation and Needs, Sociability and Satisfaction in their Major)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate undergraduate nursing students' volunteering activities, volunteering motivation- needs, sociability and satisfaction in their major for those who take the social service activities, and to provide basic information for operating the credit system of social service activity as service-learning system. Method: This study is a descriptive study and the participants were 363 of 2nd- and 3rd-year students at a nurses' college in I City, who completed the basic course of volunteering, and the survey was conducted during April 2004. Result: The group who participated in counseling service as a volunteering activity was high in volunteering motivation-needs, sociability and satisfaction in their major. In the group who performed volunteering through circle activities, those who volunteered for children, who participated longer and who had an active attitude showed high volunteering motivation-needs. In the group who had volunteering activities during weekdays, those who took an active attitude toward volunteering showed high sociability. Those who were somewhat dissatisfied with volunteering activities, however, showed significantly high sociability. Satisfaction in the major, namely, nursing was higher in senior students, in those who participated in volunteering activities for the first time at college, those who had religion, those who are active in volunteering activities and those who were highly satisfied with volunteering activities. Considering that active attitude toward volunteering activities and high volunteering motivation-needs enhance nursing students' satisfaction in their major, it is necessary to upgrade the current volunteering activities to the level of service learning. That is, it is necessary to develop new service learning in nursing curriculum that utilizes volunteering activities as well as what they learn in major for community societies.

노인의 자원봉사활동 만족도와 삶의 의미 (Relationship between Satisfaction of Volunteering and Meaning in Life of the Elderly - based on Hospital Voluntary Activity -)

  • Purpose: This study was attempted to investigate the relationship between the satisfaction of volunteering and the meaning in life of the elderly. Method: The subjects were 176 who had been volunteering in 7 general hospitals. in a metropolitan city, Korea. The data were gathered throughout August 2004. For measuring the satisfaction of volunteering, Kwon(1999) was modified and used, and for the meaning in life, Choi et al.(2003) was used. Result: Mean of the volunteering satisfaction was 3.00(Maximum, 4.00) and the highest domain was Social Contact and the lowest was Social Exchange. Mean of meaning in life was 3.02 (Maximum, 4.00) and the highest score was Family love and the lowest was Self Awareness & Self-Acceptance. Volunteering satisfaction was significantly different in age, religion, number of children and voluntary service time, and the meaning in life was different in religion, number of children, subjective health condition, subjective family relationship, and voluntary service time. Conclusion: There was positive correlation between volunteering satisfaction and meaning in life (r=.69 p=.000). According to the result, the satisfaction of volunteering could be make better meaning in life of the elderly. In order to increase the meaning in life and to improve volunteering satisfaction of the elderly, various social and personal efforts to participate in social service are would be adopted.

간호대학생의 봉사활동, 자아존중감 및 직업존중감이 전공만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Volunteering, Self-esteem and Job-esteem on Major Satisfaction among Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 봉사활동, 자아존중감 및 직업존중감이 전공만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구로, 전라남북도에 소재한 2개 대학교의 간호학과에 재학 중인 1~4학년 339명을 대상으로 하였다. 봉사활동은 대상자의 34.8%가 경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 일반적 특성에 따른 자아존중감은 성별, 종교, 경제상태, 학교생활만족에서 유의미한 차이를 보였으며 직업존중감은 종교와 학교생활만족에서 전공만족도는 학년, 경제상태, 학교생활만족에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 봉사활동 특성에 따른 자아 존중감은 봉사활동만족에서 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 직업존중감은 봉사활동경험과 봉사활동횟수에서 그리고 전공만족도는 봉사활동횟수, 봉사활동일, 봉사활동만족에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 전공만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학교생활만족, 자아존중감, 직업존중감으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 볼 때, 간호대학생의 전공만족도를 향상시키기 위해서는 학교생활만족, 자아존중감 및 직업존중감을 높일 수 있는 전략이 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate satisfaction in major and job esteem of college students in dental hygiene and nursing department according to volunteering. Methods : This study was used on a descriptive research design. participants of this study were 378 college students in some region from April 30th to May 21th. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS Program(version 20.0) using descriptive statistics. Results : Volunteering experience subjects was 24.3%, the subjects did not experience volunteering was 75.7% and volunteering related to major was 59.8% and it was 40.2% of unrelated volunteering. Volunteering experience by general characteristics was influenced significantly by grade(p= .000), major(p= .000), economic status(p= .007). Volunteering experience by major relevant characteristics of subjects was not influenced significantly. The major satisfaction by volunteering was a little higher on volunteering experience subjects than non-experienced subjects. and was not influenced difference significantly(p= .786). The job esteem by volunteering was higher volunteering experience subjects than non-experienced subjects and was influenced significantly(p=.005). Conclusions : College students majoring in the department of dental hygiene and nursing is somewhat lower the volunteering experience. The major satisfaction and job esteem of college students was influenced by volunteering. therefore, the need to plan ways to increase participation and provide information and opportunities is to invigorate the function of the volunteering service which is also considered as one of the functions of the university.

Effects of Volunteering Participation Motivation on Major Satisfaction and Continuance Willingness in Ophthalmic Optics Students

  • This study is intended to determine the effects of volunteering participation motivation on major satisfaction and continuance willingness in ophthalmic optics students. To achieve this, a survey was empirically carried out to ophthalmic optics students. The research findings showed that self-development among participation motivation factors had a significant effect on major satisfaction and continuance willingness, leisure on continuance willingness, and major satisfaction on continuance willingness in the relationship between the effects of volunteering participation motivation on continuance willingness and major satisfaction in ophthalmic optics students, respectively, adopting 3 hypotheses. On the other hand, leisure had no significant effect on major satisfaction, interpersonal exchange on major satisfaction, and interpersonal exchange on continuance willingness, respectively, rejecting 3 hypotheses. Which suggest that the high self-development willingness of college students as a factor of college volunteering participation motivation causes them to have pride and specialization in their major. Consequently, pride and specialization in major cannot only increase an understanding of personality and major, but maintain a positive attitude, leading to a long-continuous willingness, not a simple one-time service.

Comparison of Motives and Satisfaction of Civil Society Organizations to Participate in Volunteering (Focusing on the Beautiful store volunteers)

  • Purpose: As environmental and social problems such as disasters caused by climate change and the rapid transition to an ultra-aging society are rapidly emerging, the voluntary participation of citizens in civil society is a good alternative to solve various social problems, and the necessity and role of volunteering is gradually being emphasized. Research design, data, and methodology: This study examined the motivation and satisfaction of volunteer participation and conducted a comparison analysis, focusing on the 2013 Beautiful Store Volunteer Satisfaction Survey and the 2021 Volunteer Satisfaction Survey data. Results: To summarize the main results of the study, first, the motivation to start volunteering was to respond that the individual's subjective disposition influenced the motivation to start volunteering. Second, volunteer participants were able to gain recognition and psychological comfort through volunteer activities. In addition, the satisfaction of the part that increases the confidence of volunteer participants can be seen as a positive change in volunteer work. Third, in relation to the continuity of volunteer work, it was found that problems related to managers and conflicts between organizations and individuals were largely emerging as factors that caused them to quit volunteering. Conclusions: Volunteers should be more interested in cooperation and communication and promote discussions on improvement for sustainable service in communication between other volunteers and managers.

기업자원봉사자의 자원봉사반응에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting the Responses after Volunteering Activities among Corporate Volunteers)

  • 본 연구는 기업자원봉사자가 봉사활동을 수행한 다음에 보이는 차등적인 반응에 주목하여 어떤 요인이 차등적인 반응에 기여하는가를 밝히려는 목적으로 수행되었다. 자원봉사에 대한 긍정적 반응은 만족도와 기여도로, 부정적 반응은 소진으로 개념화하였다. 자원봉사에 대한 반응을 예측하는 요인으로 가족의 지지, 회사의 자원봉사 지원제도, 그리고 자원봉사현장에서의 다양한 인간관계의 영향력을 검증하였다. 250명의 기업자원봉사자를 표본으로 선정했으며 설문조사로 수집한 자료를 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 분석결과 가족의 지지는 자원봉사에 대한 반응에 영향이 거의 없는 것으로 나타났지만 회사의 자원봉사지원 제도는 의미 있는 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 나아가 봉사현장에서의 봉사대상자와의 관계와 기관의 자원봉사 담당자와의 관계는 자원봉사만족도와 인지된 기여에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 부정적 반응인 소진에는 아무런 영향을 미치지 않았다. 연구결과의 함축성으로 기업의 경우 기업자원봉사자를 적극적으로 동기화시키는 봉사지원제도를 개발하는 것이 필요하다. 비영리조직의 자원봉사관리자의 경우 자원봉사현장에서 발생하는 다양한 인간관계의 영향과 중요성을 인식한다면 기업자원봉사자의 만족도와 인지된 기여도를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

자원봉사활동 직무특성이 활동만족도와 지속의지에 미치는 효과 (Effect on the Work Satisfaction and Continuance Will by Volunteer's Job Characteristics)

  • 본 연구는 Hackman and Oldham의 직무특성이론에 근거하여 대학생을 대상으로 자원봉사활동 직무특성이 활동만족도와 지속의지에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 강원도내 6개 대학의 대학생 261명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 대학생의 자원봉사참가율은 평균 71.6%로 나타났으며, 자원봉사활동의 직무특성과 활동만족도, 지속의지는 중간값 보다 낮은 수준으로 나타났다. 자원봉사 활동만족도에 미치는 직무특성의 효과에서는 기술다양성과 과업정체성, 피드백이 유의한 수준에서 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 지속의지에 대해서는 자율성을 제외한 기술다양성, 과업정체성, 과업중요성, 피드백 모두가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 상관분석을 통해 자원봉사 활동만족도가 높으면 지속의지 역시 높아지는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 자원봉사관리자는 자원봉사활동의 직무를 직무특성이론에 기초하여 설계(design)함으로써 의미충만감이나 책임감, 결과의식을 높여서 최종적으로는 자원봉사를 통한 동기부여와 성과 향상으로 이어져야 할 것이다.

한국 노인의 자원봉사활동이 생활만족도와 우울에 미치는 효과: 체계적 리뷰 및 메타분석 (The Effects of Volunteering on Life Satisfaction and Depression among the Korean Elderly: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 체계적 리뷰 및 메타분석 방법을 활용하여 한국에서 발행된 노인 자원봉사활동에 대한 다양한 연구 결과를 체계적으로 수집하여 노인의 심리사회적 건강에 미치는 자원봉사활동의 효과를 계량적이고 종합적인 결과로 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 6개의 데이터베이스와 3개의 홈페이지에서 발견한 연구 중 포함조건을 충족한 총 47편의 연구가 분석에 활용되었고, 추출된 데이터의 수는 53개였다. R 프로그램을 활용하여 평균 효과 크기를 산출한 결과, 생활만족도에 대한 노인 자원봉사활동의 평균 효과 크기는 r=0.340이었으며, 우울은 r=-0.310이었다. 이러한 결과는 노인의 심리사회적 건강을 위해 자원봉사활동이 효과적임을 보여주며, 정책과 실천영역에서 자원봉사활동 제공의 근거가 된다.

  • 본 연구는 2014 오송 국제바이오 산업엑스포에 참여한 자원봉사자를 대상으로 하여 자원봉사자의 참여동기와 참여만족, 교육훈련이 참여동기와 참여만족 간에 조절효과가 있는지를 분석하여 향후 개최될 메가이벤트를 성공적으로 치러낼 수 있는 시사점을 제공하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 연구결과 첫째, 참여동기 중 내적보상은 자원봉사 참여만족 6개 구성요인에 모두 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 참여동기 중 외적보상은 자원봉사 참여만족 중 자기성장만족과 교류만족을 제외한 4개 구성요인에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 내적보상과 행사업무만족 간에 교육훈련이 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 외적보상과 교류만족 간에 교육훈련이 조절역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.
