  • Companies are reluctant to disclose information because of trade secret and corporate identity For the same reasons, logistics companies do not want to operate in the form of a community In urban areas, the loading of vehicles is 100% as the quantity of goods transported is too much. In mountain areas, however, the load condition of the vehicle is not 100% because of the low quantity of goods transported Therefore, the transportation costs will increase as the cost of transport increase, the competitiveness of firms will also decline In this paper, we studied a simulation to measure driving time and volume of cargo according to the change of the quantity of goods transported in the mountain area According to the research results, we got a conclusion that the proposed method makes the operation time be less and the volume of cargo increase compared with the existing operation method.

  • We present an improved Lagrangian vortex method in 2-D incompressible unsteady viscous flows, which is based on a mesh-free integral approach of the velocity-vorticity formulation. Vorticity fields are represented by discrete vortex blobs that are updated by the Lagrangian vorticity transport with the particle strength exchange scheme. Velocity fields are expressed in a form of the Helmholtz decomposition, which are calculated by a fast algorithm of the Biot-Savart integration with a smoothed kernel and by a well-established panel method. No-slip condition is enforced through viscous diffusion of vorticity from a solid body into field. The vorticity flux is determined in such a way that spurious slip velocity vanishes. Through the comparison with the existing finite volume scheme for the transient vortical flows around an impulsively started cylinder at Reynolds number Re=550, we would obtain a more accurate scheme for vortex methods in complicated flows.

  • The physically based model KINEROS2 was applied to forest road segments for simulating hydrology and sediment production. Data on rainfall amounts, runoff volume, and sediment yields were collected at two small plots in the Yangpyong experimental watershed. The KlNEROS2 model can be parameterized to match the volume of surface flow and sediment yields during seven storm events. Model predictions of hydrology were in good agreement with the observed data at two plots in the year 1997 and 1998. A comparison between the observed and predicted sediment yields indicated that the model provided reasonable estimates, although the model tended to under-estimate for some storm events. The overall result shows that the KINEROS2 model properly represents the hydrology and sediment transport processes in the forest road segments.

  • Distribution volume (Vd$_{ss}$ ) of a model basic drug, tetraethylammonium bromide (TEA) at a steady-state decreased sinificantly in glycerol and uranium-renal failure rats. Assuming carrier-mediated transport of TEA into tissues, the theoretical $Vd_{ss}$ of TEA decreases in an exponential way as the plasmal concentration of TEA increases. The relationship between $Vd_{ss}$ and plasma concentration of TEA in the experimental renal failure (ERF)-rats was similar. Therefore, the decrease in $Vd_{ss}$ of TEA in the ERF-rats seemed to be due to the saturation of the carrier system that are responsible for the tissue distribution of TEA, by the elevated plasma concentration of TEA in the ERF-rats. ERF was induced to rats with glycerol, folate, salicylate, uranium and gentamicin, respectively..

  • Dynamic response of a rock tunnels by laminated porous concrete beam reinforced by nanoparticles subjected to harmonic transverse dynamic load is investigated considering structural damping. The effective nanocomposite properties are evaluated on the basis of Mori-Tanaka model. The concrete beam is modeled by the exponential shear deformation theory (ESDT). Utilizing nonlinear strains-deflection, energy relations and Hamilton's principal, the governing final equations of the concrete laminated beam are calculated. Utilizing differential quadrature method (DQM) as well as Newmark method, the dynamic displacement of the concrete laminated beam is discussed. The influences of porosity parameter, nanoparticles volume percent, agglomeration of nanoparticles, boundary condition, geometrical parameters of the concrete beam and harmonic transverse dynamic load are studied on the dynamic displacement of the laminated structure. Results indicated that enhancing the nanoparticles volume percent leads to decrease in the dynamic displacement about 63%. In addition, with considering porosity of the concrete, the dynamic displacement enhances about 2.8 time.

  • Since the signing of the Korea-Europe Free Trade Agreement, the volume of trade transactions between South Korea and Europe has increased. The traditional single-mode transport system has been transformed into an intermodal transport system using two or more modes of transport. In addition, the conventional sea and air transport routes have been restricted, leading to a decline in Korean exports to Europe, and the rail transport mode is becoming mainstream in the market due to the influence of COVID-19. This paper focuses on the China-Railway Express to explore a new intermodal transport route from Korea to Europe. First, the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to evaluate the factor weights when selecting intermodal transport routes from Korea to Europe. Then, the TOPSIS (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method is used to rank three alternatives. The results show that among the four factors (total cost, total time, transportation capability, and service reliability), the total cost is the most significant factor, followed by the total time, service reliability, and transportation capability. Furthermore, the alternative route 1 (Incheon-Dalian-Manchuria-Hamburg) is preferred.

  • Plasma processing plays a significant role in semiconductor devices technology. Development of new plasma systems, such as high-density plasma reactors, required development of plasma theory to understand a whole process mechanism and to be able to explain and to predict processing results. A most important task in this way is to establish interconnections between input process parameters (working gas, pressure flow rate input power density) and a various plasma subsystems (electron gas, volume and heterogeneous gas chemistry, transport), which are closely connected one with other. It will allow select optimal ways for processes optimizations.

  • This purpose of this study is two-fold, First is the forcasting the railway connection between South and North Korea. Second is the problem of the connection the lines. We analyse that the connection of transport volume is 530-620thousandTeu in 2005. And it is increased 360-410thousandTeu in 2010. Therefore, we must expand the line, and prepare the efficient CIQ procedure. Finally, we prepare the masterplan of integration railway network of South and North Korea.

  • From available data, the movement of the cold water in the Korea Strait was investigated. The cold water forms an undercurrent with a speed of 0.10knots near Ulgi in June. Sometimes it reaches a speed of 0.35knots. The cold water forms a sharp wdege in the western channel like a salt wedge in an estuary. The calculated volume transport of the cold water is 17,135 cubic meters per second in June. The external influences are also discussed.
