This paper presents the design of a graphic memory for QVGA-scale LCD Driver IC (LDI). The graphic memory is designed based on the pseudo-SHAM for the purpose of small area, and the memory cell structure is designed using a bit line partitioning method to improve sensing characteristics and drivabilties in the line-read operation. Also, a collision protection circuit using C-gate is designed to control collisions between read/write operations and self-refresh/line-read operations effectively. The graphic memory circuit has been designed in transistor level using $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS technology library and the operations of the graphic memory have been verified using Hspice. The results show that the bit-bitb line voltage difference, ${\Delta}V$ increases by 40%, the charge sharing time between bit and bitb voltages $T_{CHGSH}$ decreases by 30%, and the current during line-read decreases by 40%.

Mn-Ni-Co type thin films were prepared at various conditions by a rf magnetron sputtering system. At the condition. or substrate temperature of $300^{\circ}C$ and $Ar/O_2$= 10/0, a cubic spinel phase was obtained. When oxygen was included in process gas, a cubic spinel phase was not formed even after the thermal annealing at $900^{\circ}C$. The thermistor thin film had no other elements except Mn, Ni and Co. The infrared reflection spectra of the thermistor thin films showed that the films had somewhat high reflectance for incoming infrared ray with some angle. The etch rate of the thermistor thin films was about 63nm/min at a condition of DI water : $HNO_3$: HCl = 60 : 30 : 10 vol%. The B constant and temperature coefficient of resistance of the thermistor thin films were 3500 K and -3.95 %/K, respectively. The voltage responsivity of the thermistor thin film infrared sensor was 108.5 V/W and its noise equivalent power and specific detectivity were $5.1\times 10^{-7}$ W/$Hz^{-1/2}$ and $0.2\times 10^6$cm $Hz^{1/2}$/W, respectively.

Conventional piezoelectric lead-zirconate-titanate (PZT) senor has high sensitivity, but it is very brittle. Recently polymer films such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) have been used use as a sensor. The advantages of PVDF are the flexibility and mechanical toughness. Simple process and possible several shapes are also additional advantages. PVDF sensor can be directly embedded and attached to a structure. In this study, PVDF sensor was embedded in single glass fiber/epoxy composites whereas PZT sensor with AE was attached to single fiber composites (SFC). Piezoelectric sensor responds to interfacial damage of SFC. The signals measured by PVDF sensor were compared to PZT sensor. PZT sensor detected the signals of fiber fracture, matrix crack, interfacial debonding and even sensor delamination, whereas PVDF sensor only detected fiber fracture signals so far, because PZT sensor is much more sensitive than current PVDF sensor. Wave voltage of fiber fracture measured by PVDF sensor was lower than that of PZT sensor, but the results of fast Fourier transform (FFT) analysis were same. Wave velocity using two PZT sensors was also studied to know the internal and surface damage effect of epoxy specimens.
The Pd/Pt gate MISFET type hydrogen sensors, for detecting dissolved hydrogen gas in the transformer oil, were fabricated and their characteristics were investigated. These sensors including diffused resister heater and temperature monitoring diode were fabricated on the same chip by a conventional silicon process technique. The differential pair plays a role in minimizing the intrinsic voltage drift of the MISFET. To avoid the drift of the sensors induced by the hydrogen, the gate insulators of both FETs were constructed with double layers of silicon dioxide and silicon nitride. In order to eliminate the blister formation on the surface of the hydrogen sensing gate metal, Pt and Pd double metal layers were deposited on the gate insulator. The hydrogen response of the Pd/Pt gate MISFET suggests that the proposed sensor can detect the dissolved hydrogen in transformer oil with 40mV/10ppm of sensitivity and 0.14mV/day of stability.

We present nondestructive characterization for remanent life of advanced ferritic steels, next-gen energy facility materials by reversible permeability. The reversible permeability is based on the theory that the value of reversible permeability is the same differential of the hysteresis loop. The measurement principle is based on the foundation of harmonics voltage induced in a sensing coil using a lock-in amplifier tuned to the frequency of the exciting one. The peak interval of reversible permeability(PIRP), Vickers hardness, and tensile strength(TS) of the aged samples decreased with aging time. We could estimate the remanent life of advanced ferritic steel by using the relationship between the peak interval of reversible permeability and Larson-Miller parameter(LMP), non-destructively.

This paper was proposed Intelligent and wireless USN/RFID module system that can overcome disadvantage of existing RFID system with no sensing module and wire communication. The proposed USN/RFID system was designed and fabricated. After fabricating new system, we analyzed the characteristics of USN/RFID module. After design VCO block that is point circuit to develop next generation system one chip of RFID system, we were carried out simulation and verified the validity. this paper was showed that VCO system was enough usable in wireless network module. USN/RFID Reader module shows superior result that validity awareness distance corresponds to 30 M in the case of USN and to 5 M in RFID Reader's case and 900 MHz of commercial frequency does practical use enoughly in range of high frequency. The USN/RFID Reader module is considered to act big role to Ubiqitous industry offering computing surrounding of new concept that is intelligence type service and that was associated to real time location system(RTLS), environment improvement/supervision, national defense, traffic administration etc.
In this paper, we have presented an one-axis fluxgate magnetic sensor with ferrite core, excitation, and pick-up coil. This magnetometer is consist of a sensing element, driving circuits for excitation coil and signal processing for detecting second harmonic frequency component which is proportional to the DC magnetic to be measured. The sensor core is excited by a square waveform of voltage through 82 turns of the excitation coil. The second harmonic output of pick-up coil(150 turns) is measured by a FFT spectrum analyzer. This result is compared to output of PSD(phase sensitive detector) unit for detecting a second harmonic component. The measured sensitivity is about 50 V/T at driving frequency of 2 kHz. The nonlinearity of fluxgate magnetic sensor is calculated about 2.0%.
Catalytic combustion type gas sensors were fabricated by using noble metal(Pt and Pd) added ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ powder with specific surface area of $200\;m^2/g$. The fabricated sensor showed power consumption of 500 mW at the operating voltage of 1.75 V and high sensitivity of about 120 mV for butane, methane, or propane 100%LEL, respectively. The sensor properties also showed good linearity to hydrocarbon gas concentration variation, reproductivity and stability for relative humidity variation. And it showed high stability in butane ambient for 100 days.
We developed a 37-channel magnetoencephalogram (MEG) measurement system based on low-noise superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometets, and operated the system to measure MEG signals. By using double relaxation oscillation SQUIDs with high flux-4o-voltage transfers, the SQUID outputs could be measured directly by room temperature preamplifiers and compact readout circuits were used for SQUID operation. The average field noise level of the magnetometers is about 3 fT/√Hz in the white region, low enough for MEG measurements when operated inside a magnetically shielded room. The 37 magnetometers were distributed on a hemispherical surface haying a radius of 125 mm. In addition to the 37 sensing channels. 11 reference channels were installed to pickup external noise and to form software gradiometers. A low-noise liquid helium dewar was fabricated with a liquid capacity of 30 L and boil-off rate of 4 L/d. The signal processing software consists of digital filtering, software gradiometer, isofield mapping and source localization. By using the developed system, we measured auditory-evoked fields and localized the current dipoles, demonstrating the effectiveness of the system.
