소형트랜스의 Cascading 방식을 적용한 임펄스 출력특성 (The New Type Pulse Generator Adopted Cascading Technique)

  • 이동통신(Mobile Telecommunication), X선 발생장치, 오존발생기, 레이저시스템 등에 사용되는 임펄스의 지속시간(pulse duration)은 충분히 짧고 빠른 상승률을 갖는 임펄스 전압을 발생시킬 수 있는 펄스발생장치(Pulse Generator)가 필요하다. 펄스발생장치 설계시 회로정수, 전력용 스위치는 임펄스 특성을 직접적으로 결정하게 된다. 펄스발생장치는 출력에너지가 순간적으로 부하에 전달될 때 최소의 손실로 전류지속시간 동안 안정성을 갖고 전류차단시 소호특성이 우수한 전력용 스위치가 요구된다. 펄스에너지 효율은 펄스 상승시간(rising time), 첨두치(peak value), 지속시간(pulse duration), 부하와의 임피던스 매칭(impedance matching) 등에 따라 민감하게 반응한다. 또한, 짧은 펄스지속시간과 높은 첨두치의 펄스에너지를 얻기 위해서는 펄스발생장치의 크기 및 경제성을 고려하지 않을 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 수$\mu$s의 펄스지속시간(pulse duration), 수 l00ns의 상승시간(rising time) 및 수 10kV의 첨두값(peak value), 수 10~100회의 반복율 갖는 안정적인 임펄스 형성을 위해 소형 펄스트랜스 2개를 조합한 cascading 방식을 적용하여 컴팩트(compact)한 펄스발생장치(pulse generator)를 구성하여 부하에 직접 제작한 임펄스를 인가한 결과 우수한 효과를 거둘 수 있었고, 그 적용에 대한 연구는 차후에 진행하고자 한다.

  • $SO_2$and CO gas removal characteristics of a wire-to-cylinder type nonthermal discharge plasma reactor in various applied voltage (-dc, ac, fast rising pulse and high frequency pulse) and a crossed dc magnetic field have been investigated. The experiment has been emphasized on the oxidizing characteristics of $SO_2$ and CO gas by $O_3$ and the applying of a crossed magnetic field, which would induce the cyclotronic and drift motions of electrons making the residual time longer in the removal airgap space. And it also would enhance the energy of electrons and the electrophysicochemical actions to remove the pollutant gases effectively. It is found thatthe corona onset voltage and the breakdown voltage were decreased with increasing the crossed magnetic field and decrease initial fed $SO_2$and CO concentration. As a result, a higher ozone generation and $SO_2$ and CO gas removal rate of 20[%] can be obtained with -dc, ac and fast rising pulse corona discharges in the crossed dc current-induced magnetic field. But high frequency pulse didn't show effect in applying of a crossed magnetic field.

  • An IGBT driver for serially connected pulse switching IGBTS was contructed and tested. The IGBT driver has ten output pulses with 1 ${\mu}ysec$ pulse width Its pulse repetition-rate can adjusted from 0 to 20 kHz. The output pulses was insulated from 10 kV high voltage by a pulse transformer. Their voltage amplitude are 18 V, voltage rising time 250 nsec., and voltage falling time 200 nsec when IGBT gates with 12 nF input capacitance are connected.

So that, we designed to be base on high frequency transformer and reactor of DC part. Then, we optimized control of PWM, current rising slant, voltage, current, pulse current and inverter out-put voltage. Also we designed PCB for EMI and noises.

  • SF6 widely used as insulating gas is rising as the environment problem. For decreasing this greenhouse gas, electrical breakdown characteristics of vacuum with air are studied in non-uniform field. The gap of needle to plane was 0.5mm, 0.8mm. The pressure of vacuum the range of 10^-4-10^-5torr. The diameter of a plane made of the stainless steel is150mm. As a result of the experiment, the breakdown voltage is increased about electrode gap distance increased. The electrode material influenced breakdown voltage in vacuum.

  • In this paper, transient voltage response of Polmer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) stack is analyzed and voltage dynamic characteristic is modeled for optimal design of power conditioning system (PCS). According that the load is changed, the corresponding operating voltage of fuel cell stack is also varied with a certain deep and rising time due to the chemical and mechanical responses. This transient behavior can affect on the operation with respect of PI gain in controller, duty ratio, capacitor of capacitor and so on. So in this paper the detailed theoretical analysis of transient voltage dynamics is explained and the methodology of dynamic modeling is introduced. In addition, the validity and feasibility of the proposed dynamic model is verified by experimental results under various load conditions.

  • This paper is concerned with High Frequency, High Voltage Generator for X-ray using zero-voltage soft-switching PWM DC-DC high-power converter by Resonant method, which makes the most of the parastic LC parameters of high-voltage transformer link, for diagnostic X-ray power generator. The converter circuit basically utilizes phase-shift pulse width modulated series Resonant full-bridge PWM DC-DC high-power converter operating at a constant frequency;25kHz. The converter output regulation is digitally controlled using DSP (Digital Signal Processor) for obtaining a fast rising time and adjust output voltage within a wide load range.

  • This paper presents a high-frequency inverter type high-voltage power supply for X-ray equipments. The high-voltage generator consist of an inverter unit including the SR(Series Resonance) type PSC(Phase-Shifted Control) PWM circuit adopting IGBT as the switching power device and high-voltage unit including the CW(Cockcroft Walton) circuit. When the X-ray equipment is radiographing at large power for a short time, this generator operates through feedback voltage mode control to obtain a high speed leading edge and low ripple. The operating modes and design consideration of the proposed power supply are given. Issues in the design of high-voltage divider for high voltage measuring. Experimental results are presented to verify the performance of the designed power supply for varying load conditions. The proposed apparatus has several advantages, e.g., the fast rising time of tube voltage, accuracy and reduced component size etc.
