  • The VoIP (Voice over IP) is being used world-widely and already put to practical use in many fields. However, it is needed to ensure the security of VoIP call in special situations. It is relatively difficult to eavesdrop commonly used PSTN network in that a 1:1 circuit connects it. However, it is difficult to ensure the security of a call on Internet because many users are connected to the Internet concurrently. This paper suggests a new model for Internet telephony to prevent eavesdrops, using VoIP (using SIP protocol) with the use the VPN protocol and establish the feasibility of its practical use comparing it with the conventional Internet telephony.

  • Neural Oscillator can be applied to oscillatory systems such as the image recognition, the voice recognition, estimate of the weather fluctuation and analysis of geological fluctuation etc in nature and principally, it is used often to pattern recoglition of image information. Conventional BPL(Back-Propagation Learning) and MLNN(Multi Layer Neural Network) are not proper for oscillatory systems because these algorithm complicate Learning structure, have tedious procedures and sluggish convergence problem. However, these problems can be easily solved by using a synchrony characteristic of neural oscillator with PLL(phase-Locked Loop) function and by using a simple Hebbian learning rule. And also, Recognition velocity of Korean Character can be improved by using a Neural Oscillator's learning accelerator factor η$\_$ij/

A study on the implementation of user identification system using bioinfomatics (생물학적 특징을 이용한 사용자 인증시스템 구현)

  • This study will offer multimodal recognition instead of an existing monomodal bioinfomatics by using face, lips, to improve the accuracy of recognition. Each bioinfomatics vector can be found by the following ways. For a face, the feature is calculated by principal component analysis with wavelet multiresolution. For a lip, a filter is used to find out an equation to calculate the edges of the lips first. Then by using a thinning image and least square method, an equation factor can be drawn. A voice recognition is found with MFCC by using mel frequency. We've sorted backpropagation neural network and experimented with the inputs used above. Based on the experimental results we discuss the advantage and efficiency.

  • According to current RRC procedures, network does not know either how long it will take the RRC reconfiguration message (such as Physical Channel Reconfiguration (PCR)/Transport Channel Reconfiguration (TCR)/Radio Bearer Reconfiguration (RBR)) to be transmitted over the source cell or how long the UE will take to reconfigure on receiving the message, it has to assume the worst-case. Thus, it typically indicates a conservative activation time, leading to potentially large interruption for voice traffic, particularly if the source cell signal strength has degraded. This proposals allow the UE to receive the serving cell related information (carried today in PCR/RBR/TCR message) in an Active Set Update message.

  • We proposes a new detecting algorithm of DTMF tone for low bit ate vocoder so that we use DTMF tones for signalling inthe digital network. Using DTMF tones for signalling, we could not change the conventional IS-95 protocol and control the mobile phone. We apply the root finding to detection of formants and bandwidth to search whether DTMF tones or voice and moreover to find what's kinds of DTMF tones, for instance 1, 2, 3, ......., #, *, A, B, ...., etc. Consequently, proposed method has a good result which is 0.000944% average error rate. It is satisfied with rcommended error rate in ITU-T($\pm$1.8%).

  • Wireless LAN(WLAN) is a rather mature communication technology connecting mobile terminals. IEEE 802.11 is a representative protocol among WLAN technologies. With the rising popularity of delay-sensitive real-time multimedia applications(video, voice and data) in IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN, it is important to study the MAC layer delay performance of WLANs. In this paper, performance for packet delay model that recently have been proposed schemes is analysed in wireless LAN and proved performance results via simulation.

  • Neural oscillator can be applied to oscillator systems such as analysis of image information, voice recognition and etc, Conventional learning algorithms(Neural Network or EBPA(Error Back Propagation Algorithm)) are not proper for oscillatory systems with the complicate input patterns because of its too much complex structure. However, these problems can be easily solved by using a synchrony characteristic of neural oscillator with PLL(phase locked loop) function and a simple Hebbian learning rule, Therefore, in this paper, it will introduce an technique for Recognition of the Korean Character using Phase Synchronization Neural Oscillator and will show the result of simulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 서비스 요소 중의 하나인 VoIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol)망에서의 음성 품질에 대한 평가를 위해 VoIP망에서 송화자 내용- 발생과정에 있어서 어느 정도 완전히 표현되었는가를 나타내는 송화품질과 음성의 전송계를 통해 수화자에게 전달되는 과정에서 왜곡이나 잡음 등의 방해요인에 의해 열화되는 정도를 나타내는 전송품질, 그리고 수화자가 청각에서 신호처리 과정을 거친 송화자의 내용을 어느 징도 이해할 수 있는지를 나타내는 수화품질에 대한 주관적 방법을 평가한 후 통화품질을 측정한 내용을 분석하여 그 원인과 개선책에 대한 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The communication transmission engineering plays the most important role in electrical communications engineering. Recently, it has been making remarkable progress as an infrastructure supporting informationaged society. Specially, the start of television conference and service of high speed digital transmission can be said it is announcing a raising curtain of high speed broad band age. Together with high speed broad band service needs a capacity as much as several or several hundred times of telephone with one circuit, various kinds of service forms are anticipated to emerge, it is anticipated to give a big impact to the way of future communications newtork. At present, telecommunication network is transforming telephone voice information by analog technology into a flexible higher system disposable of a variety of information such as pictures or data other than telephone by the introduction of digital technology.   • This paper presents an active assisted-living system in wireless sensor and actor network (WSAN) in which the mobile robot roles an actor. In order to provide assisted-living service to the elderly people, position recognition of the sensor node attached on the user and localization of the mobile robot should be performed at the same time. For the purpose, we use received signal strength indication (RSSI) to find the position of the person and ubiquitous sensor nodes including ultrasonic sensor which performs both transmission of sensor information and localization like global positioning system. Active services are moving to the elderly people by detecting activity sensor and visual tracking and voice chatting with remote monitoring system.
