2D 그래픽스를 활용한 패션 일러스트레이션의 시각적 표현 양상 (A Visual Expression in Fashion Illustration using 2D Graphics)

  • These days, photoshop and illustrator program can make a fashion illustration express easily and speedily, And they can also express a feeling and sensitivity of fashion illustrator by a tool and effect more than a manual work's media. The purpose of this study was to analyze a visual expression and characteristics in fashion illustration using 2D graphics. The method of this study was to analyze the fashion illustration books using 2D graphics. The visual expressions in fashion illustration using 2D graphics were as follows: Fashion illustration was based on a sketch or photography, and used a composition, drawing, mapping, painting, and manual work's re-touching. Characteristics of visual expression were as follows: First, a image composition was showed discontinuity and heterogeneity of image, new context and composition, and allowance of reality. Second, image transform was showed image overlap, body transformation by image recomposition, and deformed transformation by vector drawing. Third, hyper-real was showed precise touching, mechanical and neutral image, omission of background and focus of an object's characteristic and information. Fourth, following a realistic expression was showed simplified color, shading, dominant view point of fashion illustrator by omission, and daily lift style. Fifth, following a pictorial expression was showed non-fixed and irregular line, natural painting, and drawing and painting by conventional pictorial media. In conclusion, a photoshop and illustrator in 2D graphics will serve as a new media far fashion illustration with a manual work. And they will not only intensify a capacity as a commercial role of fashion illustration but also present a positive motive for students learning a fashion illustration.

  • Perceiving the depth of space in the spatial organization of architecture is perceiving spaces as well three dimensions as the fourth dimensions -perceive the time-. Physical depth in architectural space differs from perceptional depth in aspects of not only dimension but also perceptional effects. In this study, the perceptional depth is defined as visual depth and physical depth is depth of space. These purposes of this study are classifying the perceptional effects of visual depth -visual access, sense of variety, dynamic and cubic effect... - and the methods of spatial composition which causes visual depth in architectural space.

3D 미디어아트의 시각적 몰입감 극대화 방안 (A Plan to Maximizing the Visual Immersion of 3D Media Art)

  • 최근 미디어아트는 아날로그에서 '디지털'로, 2D에서 '3D'로 변모하고 있다. 특히 3D 미디어아트는 미디어파사드, 홀로그램, 가상현실, 앱어플리케이션 등의 디지털 환경에서 다양한 콘텐츠 장르와 융합하며 활용의 폭이 점차 넓어지고 있다. 따라서 현 시점에서 가장 우수한 미디어아트 작품으로 평가받고 있는 Pirx Ars Electronica의 3D 수상작들을 대상으로 '시각적 몰입감 요소'를 분석하여 미디어아트에 대한 관심을 집중시키고 감정을 고조시키는 방안을 찾아보았다. 연구 결과, 시각적 콘셉트의 관점에서 3D 모델링 및 맵핑 등 '창의성'과 '다양성'이 있는 콘셉트를 개발하고, 모든 콘셉트의 '일관성'을 유지하며, 애니메이션, 포스트프로덕션 등 콘셉트의 '제한성'을 강화할수록 미디어아트 작품으로 관심이 집중되었다. 시각적 기승전결 관점에서 3D '형태'와 '재질' 등의 질적 변화가 기승전결로 배치하고, '개수'와 '크기' 등의 양적 변화가 점층적으로 증가하며, '화면전환' 등의 편집 변화가 체계화할수록 감정이 고조된다. 결국 3D 미디어아트의 시각적 몰입감을 극대화하기 위해서는 3D 시각적 '콘셉트를 개발'하면서 '일치화'하고, 3D 시각적 '기승전결을 강화'하면서 '체계화'하는 전략이 필요하다.

옥외휴게시설의 시각적 선호에 관한 연구 -차양시설을 중심으로- (A Study on the Visual Preference of Pergolas and Shelters)

  • The purpose of this study is to find major factors which are influential in visual preferences of pergolas and shelters. 33 pergolas and shelters were selected for the study by slides test method. Major findings of this study are summarized as follows. 1. In the degree of visual preferences, pergolas and shelters which are traditional Korean ones in harmony with surrounding environment, and provide sculptural effects, unique images and shade, obtain relatively high scores. 2. The result of factor analysis showed that [dimensions] of visual preferences factors for pergolas and shelters were composition and use and place. 3. The result of regression analysis indicated that the best predictors of visual preferences for pergolas and shelters were atmosphere, aesthetics of form, harmony with surroundings, unique image etc.

  • In the paper, a Visual factory model for a optical-components manufacturing process is built. The optical-components manufacturing process is composed of 3 operation processes; optical sub assembly process, package assembly process, and fiber assembly process. Each process is managed not a batch mode, which is one of most popular manufacturing styles to produce a great deal of industrial output, but though a modular cell. In the processes, a modular cell has to be processed independently of the other cells. Optimization for the composition of assembly cell in the optical-components system is made by the Visual factory model.

  • The focus of this study is that spacial, material, functional, cubical reasons are visually expressed on high-rise office Architecture in Korea according to the period of their completion. Office buildings are analyzed in three of exterior composition : Lower, Middle, Top part of the Building, Comparing the whole composition of the Building, forty-five types of compositions are extracted ; expression of formal, material, structural, functional Decoration which show the tendencies of Korean office buildings.

  • Dunhuang murals are one of the most outstanding achievements in the art of traditional grotto painting in China, and are known as a "Wall Museum". As a representative of the heyday of Dunhuang murals, an in-depth exploration of Dunhuang murals from the perspective of color will help researchers understand the laws and connotations of color in Dunhuang murals during the Tang Dynasty and fully grasp the art of Dunhuang murals. The color system of the traditional Chinese "Five colors" concept expresses the cultural attributes and emotions of the Chinese people and has distinctive national characteristics. This thesis provides a theoretical grasp of the traditional Chinese "Five colors" view of color system, the Dunhuang murals of the Tang Dynasty, and the color configuration of the color composition principles, and uses the modern design principles of color composition to conduct an in-depth analysis of the configuration of the Dunhuang murals' use of color. Explore the unique characteristics of Tang Dynasty Dunhuang murals, and help modern designers master richer color application techniques by learning from and studying the harmonious patterns of Dunhuang murals to provide a new path for the dissemination of excellent Chinese traditional culture.

비정형과 정형 주거공간의 시지각적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of the Visual Perception of Atypical and typical Space in Houses)

  • This study is aimed at understanding objectively on the visual perception of atypical space and form in contemporary architecture. It is accomplished to compose the various form and the atypical space in contemporary architecture, which by means of applying digital technology to architecture is able to materialize complicated form and space. Therefore this the sis is needed to understand user's senses and affects in atypical space and form. Atypical space is able to interpret geometrically and analyze quantitatively into visual perception. This analysis is applied to Isovist used as quantitative analysis recently, and physical analysis of space used as quantitative analysis defined to vertical elements, which is analysed comparatively to visual perception in observer's point and characteristics in spatial elements. Examples are selected to four examples represented to typical and atypical space in contemporary houses. As examples are analysed to visual perception of spatial character, this study is intended to understand to spatial character in aspects of spatial composition and observer's visual perception. In results of perceptive analysis on four spatial examples, Atypical spaces are composed of changeable spatiality, which are composed changeably of the relational method with adjacent spaces. Also, typical spaces are composed monotonously of spatiality and relational method on control of the length in boundary plane and openness.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the theory of the spatial composition that is 'The Structure of Relation' in Korean traditional houses. This study has been focused on the spatial composition of Hyangdan. The form composition is an element defining primitive functions and space and producing aesthetical effects, where 'quality as a substance' is not important but 'quality as a relation' is essential. Quality as a meaningful relationship comes from realization and regulation of visual attributes among form elements. Each form compositional element establishes the hierarchical structure logically with the entire order, In order for the quality of all form compositional elements to be clarified as a meaningful relationship logically, 'compositional concept' which combines a series of form elements into the grammatical dependence to a specific direction, has to be assumed. If the intrinsic relationship among a series of form compositional elements fails to confront with the 'contextual concept' which eventually indicates unique conditions for a place according to the refined compositional concept, the result of form composition never leads to a specific solution

시지각이론을 이용한 주택설계 프리젠테이션 체계화에 관한 연구 -프리젠테이션 판넬 구성을 중심으로- (A Study on the Systematic Housing Plan Presentation Using Visual Perception Theories -Focused on the Composition of Presentation Panel-)

  • Along with the development of creative design ideas, how to effectively present design concepts is also an important consideration on housing plan process. This could consequently make it possible to automate presentations. In spite of such needs of presentations any significant efforts for the systematic design presentation have not been made yet. The research goals established in order to solve these problems are to develop structures of presentation and analyze the cases of it. This paper explains structures of housing plan presentations in two ways: the compositional elements of panel presentations and the relationships among the elements. The elements include a project title, a synopsis, design concepts, building layouts, floor plan1 and 2, longitudinal and latitudinal elevations, sections, projection and perspective views, and model photographs. Among various relationships among panel compositional elements this study uses relationships based on the Gestalt theory, the balance theory by Rudolf Arnheim and the optical array theory by Gibson. The relationships investigated on the basis of the visual perception theories include the relationships between compositional elements and background space, visual weight balance, horizontal and vertical balances, grouping, and visual layout patterns.
