Proper water management is vital to achieve high performance and durability of PEFC (Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cell). The effects of the residual water from PEFC after purge in shut-down processes on GDL/MEAs were investigated with freeze/thaw cycles Freeze/thaw cycle tests were conducted with single cells which were designed from transparent acryl plates. Single cells which contain several amount of residual water were cycles from $80^{\circ}C$ to $-28^{\circ}C$. The resistance changes of the single cells which have various amount of residual water were evaluated by ac-impedance analysis with 24 times of freeze/thaw cycles. Also, after the freeze/thaw cycles, the property changes were characterized by visual methods such as SEM, EPMA. Though it was difficult to observe noticeable property changes in the visual characterizations, the resistance of cells dramatically increased with the amount of remained water.
Background: This analysis was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of crizotinib based regimens in treating Chinese patients with EML4-ALK positive non-small-cell lung cancer. Materials and Methods: Clinical studies evaluating the efficacy and safety of crizotinib based regimens on response and safety for Chinese patients with EML4-ALK positive non-small-cell lung cancer were identified by using a predefined search strategy. Pooled response rate (RR) of treatment were calculated. Results: In crizotinib based regimens, 3 clinical studies which including 128 Chinese patients with EML4-ALK positive non-small-cell lung cancer and treated with crizotinib based regimen were considered eligible for inclusion. Pooled analysis suggested that, in all patients, the pooled RR was 59.3% (76/128) in crizotinib based regimens. ALT/AST mild visual disturbances, nausea, and vomiting were the main side effects. No treatment related death occurred in these crizotinib based treatments. Conclusions: This pooled analysis suggests that crizotinib based regimens are associated with good response rate and accepted toxicities in treating Chinese patients with EML4-ALK positive non-small-cell lung cancer.

This paper proposes a defect cell extraction algorithm for TFT-LCD auto-repair system. Auto defect search algorithm and automatic defect cell extraction method are very important for TFT-LCD auto repair system. In the previous literature[1], we proposed an automatic visual inspection algorithm of TFT-LCD. Based on the inspected information(defect size and defect axis, if defect exists) by the automatic search algorithm, defect cells should be extracted from the input image for the auto repair system. For automatic extraction of defect cells, we used a novel block matching algorithm and a simple filtering process in order to find a given reference point in the LCD cell. The proposed defect cell extraction algorithm can be used in all kinds of TFT-LCD devices by changing a stored template which includes a given reference point. Various experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
This paper proposes the cell scheduling algorithm proper to high-speed ATM switch. The proposed algorithm is the VRR(Variable weight Round Robin) combined the FRR to variant QLT. The FRR performs the cell service of the fixed weight by each buffer. So, FRR don't support the QoS of ATM service classes although it is easy to implement a high speed switch. VRR uses the method expaned to variable weight according to buffer state as well as schedules the cell according the Fixed weight based FRR. The simulation to evaluate the proposed algorithm was done by AweSim arid Visual C++. The result graphs show that the proposed algorithm is excellent, especially in the aspect of cell loss. This area is engaged by English Abstract.

Proton exchange membrane (PEM) should be sufficiently hydrated with a careful consideration of heat and water management. Water management has been a critical operation issue for better understanding the operation and optimizing the performance of a PEM fuel cell. The flooding on cathode side resulting from excess water can limit the fuel cell performance. In this study, the visual cell was designed and fabricated fur the visualization of liquid water droplet dynamics related to cathode flooding in flow channels. The experiment was carried out to observe the formation, growth and removal of water droplets using CCD imaging system. Effects of operating conditions such as cell temperature, air flow rate and air relative humidity on cathode flooding characteristics were mainly investigated. Based on this study, we can get the basic insight into flooding phenomena and its two-phase flow nature. It is expected that data obtained can be effectively used fur the setup and validation of two-phase PEM fuel cell models considering cathode flooding.
For somatic cell nuclear transfer in Hanwoo, fetal fibroblast cell lines were established from 35, 50, 70 and 90-day fetuses of Korean native cattle. The sex of these fetal fibroblast cells were analyzed by PCR using Y-specific primers and confirmed that two cell lines were female and the other two cell lines were male. Karyotyping of these cell lines indicates that the chromosome numbers of fetal fibroblast cells were not affected by passage number and more than 80% of fetal fibroblast cells have normal chromosome number. To evaluate Go stage in cell cycle of fetal fibroblast cells, Western blotting was performed to detect the expression level of PCNA which is known to be expressed in all cell cycle stages except G$_{0}$ stage. Following serum starvation or confluent culture for 7 days, fetal fibroblast cells were effectively reached to G$_{0}$ stage. The cell cycle was resumed after culture of these Go stage-fetal fibroblast cells with normal medium. These results indicates that fetal fibroblast cells originated from Hanwoo were successfully isolated and culture system and induction of cell cycle of these cells were established for somatic cell nuclear transfer in Hanwoo.woo.
The visual cells in the retina of Iksookimia longicorpa (Pisces, Cobitidae) were investigated by light and scanning electron microscopes. The retina ($216.42{\pm}13.36{\mu}m$) has several layers, and the visual cell layer consists of unequal double cones and large rods. In a double cone, two members are unequal such that one cone is longer than the other (long element $26.42{\pm}1.7{\mu}m$, short element $16.82{\pm}1.1{\mu}m$). The cones form a row mosaic pattern in which the partners of double cones are linearly oriented with a large rod. The visual cells observed have an outer segment (hematophilic), inner segment (eosinophilic). In scanning electron microscopy, the outer segment links to inner segment by so-called calyceal piles (calyceal processes) of membrane discs surrounded by double membranes.
To investigate the postmortem changes in hepatic cell membrane, the rats were sacrificed with cervical dislocation and kept in an incubator at $25^{\circ}C$, 70% of humidity for 12 hours. The biochemical experiments in postmortem were done at 2, 4, 8 and 12 hours. The degree of rigor mortis and algor mortis were increased with the time during 12 hours. The contents of hepatic malondialdehyde were rapidly increased ai 2 hours, and gradually decreased afterward. In histological findings, after 8 hours, the clotted blood was seen in central vein and sinusoids, and especially portal veins were dilated a1though the structure of hepatic lobules was preserved well. Furthermore, both in the histochemical and enzymatic examinations, membrane bounding alkaline phosphatase activities were gradually decreased with the time. In conclusion, the activity of membrane bounding alkaline phosphatase was linearly decreased with time in the early postmortem period and so it might be referred to the possibility fur the estimation of death time in the early postmortem period.
In this paper, the information capacity, the intergrate performance measure of digital radiography system has been quantitatively analyzed. The effect of various factors affecting the information capacity of the digital radiography system in multistage detection processes has been considered and analyzed In detail. The results show that the more information capacity can be obtained with the smaller detector cell area, despite of the reduced signal to noise ratio due to the reduced number of X ray photons per detector cell. Considering the limit of human visual acuity, however. the sufficient resolution will be obtained when the detector cell size in $0.2{\times}0.2\textrm{mm}^2$ with 8 bit quantizaion. And also the results indicates that the information capacity may be severely reduced by the mixture of electric noise in final read-out stage.
