인간이 어떤 것에 대하여 경험을 할 때에, 그 경험은 지식이라고 하는 형식으로 뇌에 보존됨과 동시에, 상황에 따라서는 직관적인 판단을 위한 정보로서 역할을 수행한다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구에서는, 디자인 컨셉 작성에 필요한 여러 가지 요소에 대하여 직관적인 판단을 하고, 시각적인 컨셉을 작성했을 때, 그것이 아이디어 발상에 미치는 영향의 특징을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 실험은 두 가지 단계로 진행하였다. 첫 번째는, '새로운 디지털 카메라의 디자인'이라는 과제 수행을 위하여, 디지털 카메라의 12가지 구성 요소의 관계를 직관적으로 판단하여 일정한 공간에 배치하도록 하였다. 그 다음, 배치된 각 구성요소의 관계를 고려하여 아이디어 스케치를 진행하도록 하였다. 실험 결과, 직관적인 판단에 의해서 시각화된 컨셉은, 구조적인 사고, 다양한 형태의 전개, 구체적인 조작 방법의 제안, 그리고 자신의 스케치를 설명하기 쉽게 표현하는 것에 많은 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었다. 그러나, 인간의 자유로운 감성적인 발상은, 조건의 제약에 의한 구조화가 아닌 것도 알 수 있었다.

Drug-induced Parkinsonism is the most frequently observed type among the cases of secondary Parkinsonism. Besides typical parkinsonian symptoms, such as tremor, rigidity and bradykinesia, drug-induced Parkinsonism manifests with additional simultaneous symptoms like orobuccolingual dyskinesia, mixed type of tremor (resting, action), and symmetry of expressions. We present a case of drug-induced Parkinsonism, affected by taking the antiulcer drug cimetidine. Jodeung-san extract (Choto-san, Tsumura Co. 10) was administered for 7 days and acupuncture (electronic, auricular, pharmacopuncture) was conducted 3 times. The clinical outcomes were then evaluated through the patient's global impression of change, visual analogue scale, and Hoehn and Yahr stage. After the treatment, the clinical features, such as tremor and orobuccolingual dyskinesia, disappeared. The combination of Jodeung-san and electro-acupuncture at GB34 could therefore be a remedy for the patients with drug-induced Parkinsonism.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the classification and meaning of symbols, of the clothes of the college students by sex-roll theory and identity theory. The clothes analyzed in this study were collected by photographs which were taken in the campus (240 out of 1,000 pictures) of the several colleges and universities in Seoul form fall in 1993 to summer in 1994. The results were as follow : 1. Analysis as a symbol of sexuality. The phenomenon of the visual inconsistency and consistency of sexual image in dress were showed simultaneously. The clothes of male students were generally becoming feminine style in materials and colors of clothes. These suggested that sex-roll theory be applied to their clothes. 2. Analysis as symbols of identification or individuality. The identification of shoes, bags, accessories, and hair styles were prominent than that of clothes. When it was analyzed as a symbol of individuality, the college students seemed to act as fashion leaders, who accepted new fashions and tried them on first. These suggested that Erikson′s theory on identity be applied to their clothes. 3. Analysis as a symbol of emblem. The dissimilarities of between the college students and other groups in the same generation were bright and casual attire with files, books, and sack. 4. Analysis as a symbol of campus ceremony. The clothes of college students on campus ceremonies were more causal and flexible than those of other groups in the same generation. It was known that the symbols showed above were reflected on their clothes as "one′s expressions" which are sex-roll, identity, and characteristics of college students.

As the superiority of Hangeul becomes known globally, design products utilizing a Hangeul motif are gaining attention in international markets. Accordingly, the interest in Hangeul typography is also increasing. Visual and formative designers are actively developing typographies, as typographies have limitless development potential as a type of formative expression for communication. Accordingly, this study will encompass the spirit, value and beauty of Hangeul in fashion design. The purpose of study is to demonstrate how to express the greatest amount of the beauty of the Korean language for the general public and how to utilize such expressions in various areas. The detailed content of this study is as following. First, the functionality and expression characteristics of typography will be understood by exploring the concept of typography and reviewing the design cases utilizing typography. Second, cases that utilized Hangeul typography will be reviewed and their types and issues will be identified. Third, the design direction will be set based on above exploration. Finally, four design works utilizing Hangeul typography will be suggested as the study result. Accordingly, this study applied Hangeul typography on the shirt design and attempted to contribute to the practical use of Hangeul in everyday living through design products.

When people are asked to described certain textiles, they frequently refer to the expressions of its properties such as attractiveness, uniqueness, shininess, robustness, comfortability, and so on. It shows how senses play important role in it. Human employs their senses when interacting with textiles, most notably visual and tactile/ haptic to absorb its expressive properties. Yet, our sensorial experiences may amplify when interacting with those of traditional textiles, such as batik, as we can entice sensations when seeing its motifs and patterns, smelling its materials, and touching its surfaces. The multi-sensorial importance of seeing, smelling, and touching in the interaction with and experience of textiles suggests that one should address senses in a systematic way when evaluating users' perception on traditional textiles. To address this issue, the paper proposes the incorporation of Kansei Engineering (KE) approach for identifying multi-sensorial experiences on the expressive properties of traditional textiles, using batik as a case of study. KE approach address person's psychological understanding when observing things in order to analyze and study the inherent relationship between person's perceptual knowledge and objects evaluated. This paper outlines the use of KE approach in correlating sensorial perceptions when experience with traditional textiles and ultimately expose users' preferences toward them. Background of KE approach on textiles will be explored and its application for the multi-sensorial investigation of traditional textiles will be discussed.

초등수학에서 중등수학으로의 이행에서 대수는 중요한 역할을 한다. 그리고 학교수학에서 어떻게 대수를 도입하는가 하는 문제는 중등수학 전반에서 그 성공여부를 결정짓는 중요한 요소가 된다. 일반적으로 학교대수는 대수 기호를 형식적으로 도입하는 전통적인 접근법을 따르고 있다. 이것은 대수를 일반화된 산술이라는 관점에서 보는 것으로, 여기서 문제는 이러한 접근법에서 학생들이 많은 어려움을 경험한다는데 있다. 따라서 이 글은 이러한 어려움을 해결하기 위한 하나의 대안으로 형식적인 대수 지도 방법을 대신하여 패턴과 일반화 측면을 강조하여 대수를 지도하는 방법에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 이것은 대수를 도입하는 다양한 관점 곧, 문제해결과 모델링, 일반화된 산술을 비롯하여 함수를 포함하며, 동시에 대수에 내재된 패턴을 통해 대수학습에서 핵심으로 다루어지는 일반화라는 사고 양식을 이끌어내기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 이 글은 먼저 대수와 패턴, 일반화 사이의 관계를 살펴보고, 그리고 패턴과 일반화를 강조한 대수 접근법이 대수 수업의 실제에서 어떻게 제시될 수 있는가에 대해 살펴볼 것이다.

The formula contains up between the text and the structural information, as well as their mathematical symbols. Research on-line or off-line recognition formula is underway actively used in various fields, and various forms of the equation are implemented recognition system. Although many documents are included in the various formulas, it is not easy to enter a formula into the computer. Recognition of the expression is divided into two processes of symbol recognition and structural analysis. After analyzing the location information of each character is specified to recognize the effective area after each symbol, and to the structure analysis based on the proximity between the characters is recognized as an independent single formula. Furthermore, analyzing the relationship between the front and back each time a combination of the position relationship between each symbol, and then to add the symbol which was able to easily update the structure of the entire formula. In this paper, by using a scanner to scan the book formula was used to interpret the meaning of the recognized symbol has a relative size and location information of the expression symbol. An algorithm to remove the formulas for calculation of the number of formula is present at the same time is proposed. Using the proposed algorithms to scan the books in the formula in order to evaluate the performance verification as 100% separation and showed the recognition rate equation.

This study analyzed descriptions about dots, lines, and sides which are used as a basic elements to express geometric figures as followings: -In the aspect of formative art, dots form images and feelings through their concurrence when make a slight move to coordinates. The concurrence can bring out either positive or negative images; -Lines have unlimited variation as a core measure in body art. They can make optimal effects with different lines such as straight and curved lines of human body; -Sides express not only effects of texture and perspective but also of space and solid by color effects. Expressive characteristics and geometric shapes can be classified by tattoo, henna and body painting: First, colorful tattoos are favored by Caucasian and original tattoos are mostly used by yellow and colored races in the way of scarification to get decorative effects. Recently, a rapid cycle of fashion change in tattoo figures has developed a tentative method of tattooing and a variety of decoration methods. It has made it a lot easier to change a pattern of a tattoo. Tattoos are now popular among people because they no longer have to suffer from pains when they get their body tattooed for a long time. Since tattoos boast their unique beauty which consists of most dynamic and attractive images among the types of body art. It will be one of the most favored make-up methods in the nearest future. Second, geometric designs used in henna include crosses, dots, straight lines, triangles, date palms, and so on. Henna has been particularly loved as an instant decoration by the public since it gradually disappears as time goes on. Third, body painting enables to draw a three-dimensional effect because of its close relation with body movements in a limited space. Each individual will have a different feeling appealed in their body painting. Body painting has been applied to many different areas, especially to theatrical art using lights, music and performance altogether producing impromptu and experimental works. Unlike other arts such as painting, sculpture, visual and industrial arts, body painting has mobility. Since it is painted on a three-dimensional human body, it can bear originality expressing realistic objects or animals and strengthen creative functions using body lines. Moreover, geometric designs can be diversified by the sexes. As a result of analysis, geometric designs expressed in body art seemed to transcend expressions of beauty and turned out to be another way of decoration. Body art has also been used as a way to express visual integration and consolidation dynamically not by human instinct but by social changes. The needs for body art will grow as the future comes nearer and be recognized as a new and fresh value. Formative elements of geometric figures deliver visual impressions combined with human body and finally create more various types of body art in harmony of body lines.

최근 마케팅 분야에서 기업 이미지디자인의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 그런데 기업의 이미지를 대표하는 마크 중 로고타입은 심볼마크와 로고마크에 비해 상대적으로 소홀히 다루어져 왔다. 로고타입은 심볼마크와 함께 기업의 개성과 특성을 함축적으로 나타내는 것이어야 하고, 이를 위해서는 형태에 의한 이미지 표현이 중요시되며, 따라서 시각디자인의 조형적인 측면이 중요하게 고찰되어야 한다. 그런데 로고타입과 로고마크에 관한 조형적 측면에서의 연구, 특히 글꼴의 형태와 이에 대한 소비자의 반응에 관한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 소비자들이 선호하는 한글 로고타입의 시각적인 형태와, 기업에 따라 선호되는 로고타입의 형태에 관해 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 기업의 업종에 따라 선호되는 로고타입의 형태요소에 차이가 있었는데, 건설회사 로고타입에서는 돋음체 계열의 몸통에 줄기 굵음, 돌기 없음, 사선형 맺음, 직선곡선형 맺음이 선호되고, 은행의 로고타입에서는 돋음체 계열의 몸통에 돌기 없음, 사선형 맺음, 한쪽곡선형 돌기, 줄기는 중간이 선호되며, 연구소의 로고타입에서는 돋음체 계열의 몸통에 사선형 맺음, 줄기 굵음, 직선형 돌기가 선호되는 것으로 나타났다. 건설회사, 은행, 연구소의 로고타입 형태에 공통적으로 적용해야 할 요소는 사선형 맺음으로 나타났고, 곡선형 맺음과 줄기 얇음은 피해야 될 것으로 나타났다. 반면 돌기, 맺음, 굴림은 기업의 업종에 따라 다르게 적용해야 하는 것으로 나타났다.

회화에 있어서 대상을 사실적으로 표현한 작품들은 19세기 중반 프랑스에서 G.쿠르베가 당시의 아카데미즘 화풍에 반항하면서 사실주의를 주창하였고 이에 동조하는 H.도미에나 F.밀레와 같은 화가들에 의해 사실주의풍의 작품들이 본격적으로 제작되었다. 이후 사실주의는 미술을 비롯해서 문학영역 전반에까지 확대되었고 예술작품과 문학작품에 지대한 영향을 주었다. 만화 또한 회화의 한 형식으로서 그 역사적 맥락을 같이하며 사실주의적인 만화가 당시의 화가나 만화가들에 의해 제작되어지기 시작하였다. 이러한 사실주의 만화(Realism Comics)는 사실에 기초해서 이야기를 다룬 만화로서 내용적으로는 당대의 사회적 현실을 객관적으로 묘사하고 재현시키는 것이 가장 중요한 목적중의 하나였지만 시각적 측면 즉, 대상의 표현 면에서는 반드시 사실적이라고 단정 지어 말할 수는 없었다. 그러던 중 1980년대 이후 미국과 유럽을 중심으로 만화와 소설의 중간 형식을 띈 그래픽 노블이 탄생하게 되었다. 그래픽 노블은 슈퍼 히어로물이 넘쳐나던 미국 만화시장에 문학성과 예술성이 강한 형식과 양식을 갖추고 나타났으며, 그 주요 특징으로는 내용적으로나 시각적으로나 매우 사실적으로 표현되어 있다는 점이다. 이는 마치 그 서사구조나 그림들이 그래픽으로 연출된 소설이나 문학작품을 보는 듯 복잡하고 섬세하며 예술적 작품성까지 지니고 있다. 그래픽 노블에서 보여 지는 사실적 표현의 특징들은 이전의 만화작품과 비교하여 볼 때 상당히 큰 차이점들을 발견할 수 있다. 시대의 유행을 따르기보다는 개성이 강한 작가주의적 그림 스타일의 특색을 보이며, 작품의 완성도가 상당히 높으면서도 독창적이고 실험적인 표현기법이나 방식들로 인해 회화나 일러스트와 같이 예술작품으로 인정받기 시작했다는 점에서 주목할 만하다. 최근 국내에서도 헐리우드 블록버스터 영화가 잇따라 개봉되어 흥행에 성공하면서부터 원작 그래픽 노블에 대한 관심과 수요가 증가되었다. 따라서 많은 원작 그래픽 노블이 번역되어 판매되기 시작하였고 이러한 세계적인 흐름과 유행에 발맞추어 한국의 일부 작가들이 그래픽 노블류의 작품들을 제작하기 시작하였다. 그러나 그래픽 노블을 표방하며 제작되어진 국내 작품들을 살펴보면 그 형식과 정통성 측면에서 여러 가지 견해가 있다. 이러한 시점에서 본 연구는 한국적 그래픽 노블의 대표적 작품이라고 할 수 있는 권가야의 <남한산성>에 초점을 맞추었으며, 특히, 대상의 사실적 표현이라는 시각적 측면에 중점을 두고 그 특징들과 유사성 등을 분석해보고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 국내 그래픽 노블에 대한 정체성과 현주소를 되짚어보고 미국이나 유럽 그리고 일본의 그래픽 노블과는 차별화된 우리만의 독창적인 소재를 개발, 활용함으로써 한국적 그래픽 노블이 경쟁력을 갖춘 만화의 한 장르로 더욱 발전할 수 있도록 모색하는 계기가 되었으면 한다. 더 나아가 침체되어 있는 국내 만화시장에 새로운 활력소가 되기를 희망한다.
