Watching a program on IPTV among the numerous choices from the internet requires a burden of searching and browsing for a favorite one. This paper introduces a new concept called Mosaic Map and presents how it provides preview information of image map links to other programs. In Mosaic Map the pixels in the still image are used both as shading the background and as thumbnails which can link up with other programs. This kind of contextualized preview of choices can help IPTV users to associate the image with related programs without making visual saccades between watching IPTV and browsing many choices. The experiments showed that the Mosaic Map reduces the time to complete search and browsing, comparing to the legacy menu and web search.

In the development of logistics system, the breakthrough of important technologies such as technology platform for logistics information management and control is the key content of the study. Based on Javascript and JQuery, the logistics system realizes real-time monitoring, collection of historical status data, statistical analysis and display, intelligent recommendation and other functions. In order to strengthen the cooperation of warehouse storage, enhance the utilization rate of resources, and achieve the purpose of real-time and visual supervision of transportation equipment and cargo tracking, this paper studies the VNF dynamic deployment and SFC routing problem in the network load change scenario based on the logistics system. The BIP model is used to model the VNF dynamic deployment and routing problem. The optimization objective is to minimize the total cost overhead generated by each SFCR. Furthermore, the application of the SFC mapping algorithm in the routing topology solving problem is proposed. Based on the concept of relative cost and the idea of topology transformation, the SFC-map algorithm can efficiently complete the dynamic deployment of VNF and the routing calculation of SFC by using multi-layer graph. In the simulation platform based on the logistics system, the proposed algorithm is compared with VNF-DRA algorithm and Provision Traffic algorithm in the network receiving rate, throughput, path end-to-end delay, deployment number, running time and utilization rate. According to the test results, it is verified that the test results of the optimization algorithm in this paper are obviously improved compared with the comparison method, and it has higher practical application and promotion value.

This paper aims to build a 2D/3D map navigation that the user can efficiently operate in terms of feeding attribute information after securing 2D/3D space data. This system provides 2D/3D screen navigation that supports variety of operational visual effects and displays the location that the user is retrieving. Also it presents picture information of buildings with higher resolution and URL, name of store, phone number, other related information. Effectiveness of this system is as follows: first, development and distribution of a new technology of 2D/3D spatial database that changes the previous 2D/3D based system concept to the 2D/3D based one. Second, increase of developmental productivity by utilizing the integrated 2D/3D spatial database for developing various interfaces. Finally, it provides security of the preemptive technological position with world class domestic 2D/3D spatial database technologies.
First appeared in the 1970s, the underground shopping mall has been spreading across the country, and there
reportedly exist 77 malls in the 2010. After over 30 decades operation, many underground shopping malls are now under the planning phase for renovation in many cities. This study considers the renovation issue of the underground shopping mall in the perspective of spatial re-configuration. A case is taken from Kangnam TerminalUnderground Shopping Mall in Seoul for detailed observation and suggestion. The monotonous and confusingspatial layout of the existing mall is investigated by observation methods. Based on the observation, a modifiedplan is suggested and evaluated by means of computer simulation program, Depth Map. The program mainly deals with visual network analysis in order to quantify the optical exposure in a given space. It is argued in this paper that the enhanced visual connectedness could affect the pedestrian performance positively in the shopping mall, and this leads to an easy and quick access to each shops in users' stand point. It is thought that this configurational solution for the remodelling of a specific case would be an effective reference for other malls in the country which are facing the similar problems.
Since the cognitive science developed as a brandl of academic researdl, studies on human brains have flourished. Emotional features have been centered on the field of design, and the development of the design process has been diversified that makes use of the factors. The purpose of this study is to reflect the current trend and to convert the results into a method for designing. The researdl is based on the mind map techniques which spread like a trendy fashion, and tries to supply a theoretical explanation of how to overcome the fixed idea. Recognizing the importance of learned information in approaching a problem, I regarded the roles of left and right brain as analogue and digital images interpreting them by freely crossing language(digital images) and visual thought (analogue images), using mapping tedlniques. I pursued the research goal of the techniques focusing on the idea of using mapping. As a result of this. I established a logic system [figure 8] in that a proposition which starts as a problem introduction goes on until a problem solution, which is visualized with concept presentation, using a brainstorming technique. According to the suggested concept. I concluded that idea proliferation as a design demand can be solved by applying mapping techniques like one shown in figure 12.
Recently, types of mobile services are ever-growing with technological advances, such as CDMA 2000, 256 Color LCD, 16 channel sound chip set and easy internet access. However, manual system that is supposed to support users for finding features and functions doesn't help users most of the cases since users are moving. Therefore, mobile sonics needs new concept for manual system that can support users while they are in use In this research report, new concept for interactive manual system is suggested. Then a guideline for interactive manual system is developed as a result from three empirical studies. First, ten information visualization methods used for describing functions are positioned on user's perception map. Secondly, user behavior pattern of getting required information from written manual was analyzed. Finally, visual cue system was selected as one of options for developing interactive manual system and a guideline was developed based on these research results.

The vector shaped object is generally very long (hundreds or thousands of kilometers) and very narrow (10-100 meters). Image mapping techniques and tools for these objects should be totally different from the traditional area-based targets. Acknowledging these unique characteristics of the vector shaped object, a motion picture mapping system has been developed by combining internet GIS technology with airborne video. In particular, integration between airborne video and digital maps took advantage of each component, and enabled the landscape structure to be visualized, interacted with and deployed all on the Web. The motion picture maps provided a completely new means for disseminating information for area-wide landscape in a visual and interactive manner to the general public while digital map with location information revealed successfully the major parameters that influence an area-wide spatial structure in the study area. The remote video approach breaks down the usual concept of image mapping in a conventional cartography. As a result, the research findings have established the new concept of 'internet airborne video mapping for vector shaped object', proposed as an initial aim of this paper. It would playa crucial role in improving the quality of public information service if the mapping system is operationally introduced into the Government since the highly user-friendly moving picture provides a completely new means for disseminating spatia) information for vector shaped object.
In mobile device's user interface, menu organization is very important as well as menu structure because small display of mobile device. Menu items should be organized based on user knowledge structure to design user-centered interface. Traditionally, MDS (Multidimensional Scaling) have been most often used to expose users' perceived organization of menu items. But, information that MDS reveals is just relative spatial location of concepts and not relevant to concepts connection. Unlike MDS, Trajectory Mapping explicitly finds users' cognitive links between perceived concepts. This study proposes a Trajectory Mapping technique for eliciting knowledge structure, especially a set of cognitive pathways linking menu items, from end user. With twelve participants, MDS and Trajectory Mapping were conducted using cellular phone's menu items. And user knowledge structure was analyzed through Visual Concept Map that combination of results of MDS and Trajectory Mapping. After then, menu items were organized according to users' perceived organization. Empirical usability test was also conducted. The results of usability test showed that usability, in terms of task performance time, number of errors, and satisfaction, for newly organized interface was significantly improved compare to original interface. The methodology of this study is expected to be applicable to design a user-centered interface. In other words, Trajectory Mapping technique can be used as a design tool of user interface for imposing user knowledge structure on the interface.
Information gathered through experience transforms into knowledge and such knowledge becomes a foundation for intuitive decisions. Based on such background, the following study investigates intuitive decision making on basic elements needed for design concepts and visual conceptualizations. The study consist two phases. first, 12 structural elements of a digital camera and relation between each elements were arranged intuitively on a board. Next, sketches were generated with relationship of structural elements in mind. As a result of the study, concept with intuitive decisions effect structural thinking, various developments, specific operation methods , and sketch expressions. However, study also revealed that the freedom of human emotions don't accord with the qualification map.
