속옷광고의 구조 및 내용의 변화에 관한 연구 -1965~1999의 여성잡지를 중심으로- (A Study on the Changes of Appearances and Contents of Underclothes Advertisements)

  • This study looks into the appearances and contents of undercloths advertisements by analyzing them appeared in women\`s magazines of Korea, which are , and published between 1965 and 1999 mainly targeting the women at the age of 20s through 40s. This study leads to the following conclusions : 1. Most of advertisements use 1 or 2 pages of the magazines with colored pictures. 2. The most frequently advertised underclothes is brassieres and white and pastel are dominant colors. Also, spandex and cotton are the most frequently appeared fabrics in the advertisement. 3. Professional Korean female models in twenties are the most favored choice for those underclothes advertisements and those models dominantly face their fore part with showing the body parts higher than their knees. Solo model appear in most of the advertisements and independent appearance is dominant. 4. In the visual expression of the advertisements explicitly show the products for visual expression, whereas verbal expressions mostly emphasize the benefits to be obtained from the underclothes advertised. 5. Advertisement appeals are mainly base on readers\` reason rather than sensibility.

고구려 복식의 미학적 연구 (An Aesthetic Study on the Kokuryo Costume)

  • The study of traditional costume is significant in terms of figuring out of the reality of its originality and enrich the costume culture of today. The purpose of this study is to analyze the aesthetic characteristics and to contemplate the aesthetic values of the Kokuryo costume. Kokuryo costume were characterized with the simpleness in its clothing constructions. The spaces found on the dresses were emphasized giving a geometric characteristics and abstract images. Many different colors were used for tops, bottoms, and border elements showing value contrast in each parts of dress. Patterns were simplified in a dot or stripe shapes impling a certain symbols. Dot patterns were varied in its shapes. In general. the decorative elements were simple and eliminated. Through the process of investigating these aesthetic characteristics, aesthetic values were found. The aesthetics of nature were favoured and tradition were respected. Religious mind were favoured and progressive spirit were endowed by the Kokuryo people. They have pursued the diversities and many changes in visual forms of dresses which were the manifestations of their esprit.

색채 응용 시스템의 색향상을 위한 기호색 보정 (Favorite colar correction for color enhancement in color application system)

  • In this paper, we propose a favorite color correction algorithm for color enhancement in color application system which represent preferred colors for viewer's demands. The proposed algorithm corrects skin color which is widely used as a reference color for color control of color application system, blue color which is directly related to tri-stimulus values, and green color which has higher visual sensitivity. In the proposed algorithm, the vaiation range of phase detector output voltage was minimized for the favorite color saturation changes, thus the favorite from the burst signal for the phase detector characteristic, thus the favorite color was easilty detected from the other color without overlapping of correctionranges.

LED의 패션디자인 적용방법과 표현특성 (A Study on the Method to Apply LED to Fashion Design and Its Expression Characteristic)

  • Fashion industry is high value added indust교, whose price is decided by design value so it requires creativity and uniqueness for competition. The purpose of this study is to grasp how the design characteristic of LED that can express new creativity and uniqueness is applied to fashion design and find out the expression characteristic of LED used in fashion design. The study subjects, the design to which LED is applied, were extracted from fashion show and internet search. As a study result, the expression characteristics of LED used for fashion design are as follows. First, for function, tool function that can provide convenience for life and expression function that can provide user with emotional and psychological satisfaction and communication were allowed. Second, for aesthetic changes, many-sided, multiple colors and pattern displays of LED changed design meaning visually and caused aesthetic emotion for observer. Third, for interaction, physical factor of LED, user, dress and environmental factor interacted each other, enabling both-sided communication. Fourth, for amusement, multiple lights of LED activated visual and tactile sense, expressing usefulness and joyfulness on the basis of various display possibilities and changes. The study result will be helpful for developing more unique, creative design according to the change of age and development of science.

전통화조화의 사실적(寫實的) 표현과 시정적(詩情的) 색채표현 (A Study on Lyricism Expression of Color & Realistic Expression reflected in Oriental Painting of flower & birds)

  • Colors change in time corresponding with the value system and aesthetic consciousness of the time. The roles that colors play in painting can be divided into the formative role based on the contrast and harmony of color planes and the aesthetic role expressed by colors to represent the objects. The aesthetic consciousness of the orient starts with the Civility(禮) and Pleasure(樂), which is closely related with restrained or tempered human feelings. In the art world of the orient including poem, painting, and music, what are seen and felt from the objects are not represented in all. Added by the sentiment laid background, the beauty of the orient emphasizes the beauty of restraint and temperance, which has long been the essential aesthetic emotion of the orient. From the very inception of oriental painting, colors had become a symbolic system in which the five colors associated with the philosophy of Yin and Yang and Five Forces were symbolically connected with the four sacred animals of Red Peacock, Black Turtle, Blue Dragon, and White Tiger. In this color system the use of colors was not free from ideological matters, and was further constrained by the limited color production and distribution. Therefore, development in color expression seemed to have been very much limited because of the unavailability and unreadiness of various colors. Studies into the flow in oriental painting show that color expression in oriental painting have changed from symbolic color expression to poetic expression, and then to emotional color expression as the mode of painting changes in time. As oriental painting transformed from the art of religious or ceremonial purpose to one of appreciation, the mast visible change in color expression is the one of realism(simulation). Rooted on the naturalistic color expression of the orient where the fundamental properties of objects were considered mast critical, this realistic color expression depicts the genuine color properties that the objects posses, with many examples in the Flower & Bird Painting prior to the North Sung dynasty. This realistic expression of colors changed as poetic sentiments were fused with painting in later years of the North Sung dynasty, in which a conversion to light ink and light coloring in the use of ink and colors was witnessed, and subjective emotion was intervened and represented. This mode of color expression had established as free and creative coloring with vivid expression of individuality. The fusion of coloring and lyricism was borrowed from the trend in painting after the North Sung dynasty which was mentioned earlier, and from the trend in which painting was fused with poetic sentiments to express the emotion of artists, accompanied with such features as light coloring and compositional change. Here, the lyricism refers to the artist's subjective perspective of the world and expression of it in refined words with certain rhythm, the essence of which is the integration of the artist's ego and the world. The poetic ego projects the emotion and sentiment toward the external objects or assimilates them in order to express the emotion and sentiment of one's own ego in depth and most efficiently. This is closely related with the rationale behind the long-standing tradition of continuous representation of same objects in oriental painting from ancient times to contemporary days. According to the thoughts of the orient, nature was not just an object of expression, but recognized as a personified body, to which the artist projects his or her emotions. The result is the rebirth of meaning in painting, completely different from what the same objects previously represented. This process helps achieve the integration and unity between the objects and the ego. Therefore, this paper discussed the lyrical expression of colors in the works of the author, drawing upon the poetic expression method reflected in the traditional Flower and Bird Painting, one of the painting modes mainly depending on color expression. Based on the related discussion and analysis, it was possible to identify the deep thoughts and the distinctive expression methods of the orient and to address the significance to prioritize the issue of transmission and development of these precious traditions, which will constitute the main identity of the author's future work.

  • 본 연구는 신체표현을 활용한 색깔과 화음, 다이내믹을 연결하여 일어나는 변화에 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 영상미디어 음악치료 프로그램 모형개발을 위한 기초 자료 수집을 위해 심리적으로 화음과 다이내믹이 색깔에 변화를 준다는 것을 탐색하였다. 영상매체에서 음악은 비언어적 의사소통으로 많은 분야에서 사용된다. 특히 음과 색깔 관계의 심리적 변화를 통하여 가상과 현실의 갭을 줄이는 데에 가장 효과적인 도구이며 사용자는 메시지와 의미에 대해 우리의 감성을 유도한다. GIM (Method of Guided Imagery and Music)은 인간의 내면세계를 탐색하고 음악에 유도된 다양한 심상 경험을 통해 상징적 의미와 통찰로 자신을 이해하고 문제를 해결해가도록 하는 음악치료방법으로 인간의 내적세계를 광범위하게 다룬다. 본 연구를 통하여 영상미디어라는 도구를 기존의 음악치료에서 사용되어져 왔던 수동적이고 소극적인 음악 감상 활용방법에서 탈피하고 직접 몸으로 체험하는 능동적이고 적극적인 음악치료 프로그램 모형을 적용시켜 나아가 오늘날 급격히 변화하는 청소년기의 사회적응문제에서 긍정적 효과를 줄 수 있는 음악치료 프로그램개발 모형을 위한 기초 자료로 삼고자 한다.

경관영향 요소별 경관 대비성 평가 - 자연경관에 도입되는 건축물을 중심으로 - (Evaluating the Visual Contrast Rating of the Landscape Impact Factors - A case study for the Buildings in Natural Landscape -)

  • While cities became bigger and bigger since 1990s, many indiscretely high buildings started to be built in the mountain areas inside a city and in the rural areas in the suburb of each city. To regulate such indiscrete developments, the government prepared for some relevant legal and institutional criteria by having enacted the "Landscape Act" and established a strong management means in the legal and institutional aspects by having introduced the natural landscape deliberation system and the landscape deliberation one into the "Natural Environment Conservation Act." However, since some uniform levels of absolute height and no. of stories are suggested legally and institutionally, it is hard to consider the effects of a real building structure onto the relevant landscape. Accordingly, this thesis is intended to grasp the contrast of the landscape elements in the allowable height section, which is presented through landscape sensitivity. As the results from the visual contrast rating on a small apartment complex located in Dangjin and a large scale of apartment complex in Seosan as the apartment complexes surrounded with natural landscapes that were selected as the subjects of this study, the following conclusion can be finalized. First, there were deducted some factors, that is, forms, lines, colors, textures and sizes as the ones with which can measure and evaluate the contrasting properties when a structure gets into a natural landscape. Second, in case of a small scale of apartment complex (in the foreground) compared to a large one (in the foreground), it was found that the contrasting properties were bigger. In addition, it was also found that the contrasting property of the landscape factor of the foreground compared to that of the middle one becomes bigger depending on a distance. Third, as the results from an evaluation on the contrasting properties of the landscape factor depending on the changes of each floor of a structure, it was found that the factors, that is, forms, lines, colors, textures and sizes are very significant. Among those factors, the factors, forms and lines in a small scale of apartment complex (in the foreground) showed each log regression. But in all of the other cases, they showed each line regression. Fourth, as the results from examining the regression coefficients of the landscape factor, the coefficients of the shapes and lines have similar coefficients and the colors and the textures have similar ones, too. In case of the sizes of apartment complexes, the colors and the textures of a large apartment complex (in the foreground) have similar coefficients, in case of that in the middle ground, the shapes and lines have similar coefficients. Fifth, as the results from estimating the contrasting properties of the landscape factor on the floors within the allowed scope of the landscape sensitivity, it was found that the contrasting property was 3.5 to 4.9 in case of a small scale of apartment complex (in the foreground), but 2.5to 3.7 in case of a small scale of one. In case of a large scale of apartment complex, the value was 3.5 to 5.3, but in case of a large one in the middle ground was 2.9 to 4.9. Sixth, it was comprehended that the contrasting properties of the landscape factor become different depending on each size of apartment complex and the distance of a view point. In this study, it is intended to find the meaning from the aspect that the results can be used as the baseline data for comprehending a proper range of heights of structures objectively during a natural landscape deliberation or a landscape deliberation.

건조정도에 따른 자연치아의 색조비교 (Comparison of Shade Changes According to Dry/Wet Condition of Tooth using Intra-Oral Colorimeter)

  • 심미적 보철물을 제작하는 데 있어 색조의 선택은 중요한 단계이다. 이러한 색조선택과정은 광원, 표면, 관찰자 의 능력, 주변 배경색상, 관찰각도, 명암적응력 등과 같은 다양한 원인에 의해 좌우된다. 색조를 선택하는 시점에 따라 치아의 건조정도는 달라지게 되므로 본 실험에서는 치아 건조정도가 자연치아의 색조에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 구강내 색조측정기를 이용하여 구강가글 즉시 측정한 군을 실험군으로 구강가글 10초 후, 1분 후, 5분 후, 30초간 건조 후 색조를 측정하여 ${\Delta}E$값을 비교하였다. 각 실험군사이 ${\Delta}E$값은 유의할 만한 차이를 보였으나 대부분의 경우 구강내에서 시각적으로 구별할 수 없는 정도의 근접치를 보였다. 실험결과 시각적인 방법으로 색조 견본을 이용하는 방법은 건조정도에 따른 색조 차이가 없는 것으로 사료되고 기계를 이용하는 경우 건조정도가 색조 선택에 유의할 만한 영향을 줄 것이라고 사료된다.

Digitalized Dynamic Fashion Design: Graphical Patterns in Motion

  • This paper evaluates the potential of dynamic graphical patterns in future-driven fashion design using computer graphics that enables changes to the visual appearance of a textile for aesthetic, expressive or communicative purposes. In particular, it focuses on experimenting with the possibility of creating digitalized dynamic fashion garments that are illustrated digitally using motion graphics developed collaboratively in a virtual space. Three objectives were formed and addressed. First, a dynamic graphical pattern was defined that also investigated the cases of tangible and virtual dynamic patterns in textiles and garments to identify current situations and future prospects in terms of functional techniques and expressive effects. Ten digital fashion illustrations were then created in collaboration with a group of graphic designers and motion artists to visualize dynamic graphical patterns changing over time. Four types of dynamic fashion illustrations were also introduced in their methodological and expressive aspects. Last, some findings resulted from digital works that led to implications for future studies on tangible dynamic fashion designs. This study proposed that computer graphics and digital imaging technologies integrated into a virtual fashion that creates eye-catching and futuristic dynamic fashion designs that can customize colors and patterns according to the desires of wearers or users.

시각적 주의 및 Spot-Lights 영역 검출 기반의 교통신호등 검출 방안 (Traffic Lights Detection Based on Visual Attention and Spot-Lights Regions Detection)

  • 근래에 고령운전자의 증가와 다양한 차량용 멀티미디어 기기의 등장으로 운전 중 운전자의 시각적 주의 결핍 및 분산되어 교통신호등 오인식으로 인해 교통사고가 증가하고 있는 상황이다. 이를 보완하기 위해 일반적인 교통신호등 검출연구들은 색상 임계치, 템플릿 매칭, 학습기 기반 등의 방안이 제시 되었으나 색상 임계치의 경우 시내 도로와 같이 복잡한 배경과 주위 환경변화에 강인하지 못하고, 야간 시간대의 경우 템플릿 및 학습기 기반의 검출방안의 경우 그 인식도가 떨어지는 문제점이 존재한다. 따라서 제안한 방안에서는 교통신호등의 구조적인 형태 정보(모양, 밝기, 대비, 색상 등)을 기반 한 시각적 주의 영역과 spot-lights 영역 검출을 통해 복잡한 시내 도로 환경에서 교통신호등을 검출하는 방안을 제안한다. 교통신호등은 운전자의 시인성을 높일 수 있는 위치에 설치되고 또한 구조적인 고유한 형태와 색상을 지니고 있는 특징들을 이용하여 교통신호등을 검출한다. 제안한 방안에서는 입력된 칼라영상에서 특징정보들 간의 다차원 가우시안 파라미드 영상들을 생성하고 각 영상들 간의 대비차이 계산하여 현저하게 두드러진 영역들을 검출하고, 밝기 영상에서 주위 영역과 현저하게 밝은 spot-lights 영역들을 검출한다. 그리고 검출된 두 영역들의 모양과 색상 분석을 통해 교통신호등을 검출한다. 제안한 방법을 다양한 시간대와 시내 도로에서 실험한 결과, 교통신호등 검출률은 83.2%이고 프레임 당 처리 시간은 0.68초이다. 이것을 통해 사후판독 기능이 차량 영상기록장치에 결합한 안전운전 지원시스템으로 제안한 방안이 유용하게 적용될 수 있음을 알 수 있다.
