건강한 성인에서 시각적 되먹임 훈련이 감각운동겉질의 뮤-리듬에 미치는 즉각적인 효과 (Immediate Effect on Mu-rhythm of Somatosensory Cortex using Visual Feedback Training in Healthy Adults)

  • PURPOSE: A visual feedback method was proposed to induce brain stimulation in a stroke patient, and among them, there was a treatment using a mirror. On the other hand, mirror therapy focuses only on the functional changes in body movements, and analysis of neurophysiological mechanisms of brain activity is lacking. In addition, studies on evaluating the activity and response generated in specific brain regions during visual feedback training using mirrors are insufficient. METHODS: Fifteen healthy adults (male: 10, female: 5, Years: 23.33 ± 1.23), who were right-handed were recruited. By attaching the C3, Cz, and C4 channels in the sensorimotor cortex using an electroencephalogram, training was performed under the conditions without mirror-based visual feedback (No-condition) and with visual feedback (Tasks-condition). At this time, the immediate activity of the mu-rhythm in response to training was separated and evaluated. RESULTS: The tasks-condition of C3, Cz, and C4 channels activated the relative mu-rhythm rather than the no-condition, and all showed significant differences (p < .05). In addition, in all channels at the start time, the tasks-condition was more active than the no-condition (p < .05). The activity of the cortical response was higher in the tasks-condition than in the no-condition (p < .05). CONCLUSION: The mu-rhythm activity can be evaluated objectively when visual feedback using a mirror is applied to healthy subjects, and a basic analysis protocol is proposed.

  • Vision is a process in which the brain and eyes collaborate to enable sight by analyzing light reflected from objects. Vision is also the most crucial among the five basic human senses for recognizing environments. The eyes contain 70% of the sensory receptors in the body, and 90% of the information processed by the brain is visual. Currently, approximately 2.2 billion people worldwide have vision impairments. A recent study estimated that the global economic productivity losses due to vision impairment and blindness amount to approximately $410 billion. Additionally, as people age, their ability to control their vision declines, leading to presbyopia, which typically starts in their 40s. Since people heavily rely on vision in their daily lives, vision problems can significantly reduce the quality of life. Approaches to solving vision problems can be broadly categorized into visual prostheses requiring surgery, sensory substitution based on neuroplasticity, and smart glasses for presbyopia. We present the trends and future development prospects for three key areas of research: visual prostheses, visual substitution technologies, and smart glasses technologies. These areas are being explored with the aim of addressing visual impairments and blindness.

예술학에 있어서 분석가능성과 인지심리학의 역할 (The Analyzability and the Role of Cognitive Psychology in Science of Art)

  • This study aims at the observation of some analytical levels-especially those of syntactico-semantical- of the visual expressions in general. As far as the syntactical parts are concerned, there were two steps to be approached. One is to select the paradigms according to the Saussure-Hambidgean suggestions, the other to derive syntagmas from what is called the 'chaos-system', one of nonlinear dynamics. In result, paradigms could be acquired 5 sorts with its so many varieties, as visual templates(VT), supplemented by their reciprocals(R) and complements(CLE), and syntagmas five orbits from each constant c=0 to c=10. In additional, in connection with semantic parts, the study introduced a Gremasian model of discourses and narratives for the interpretation of signifiers. By this, we could cover the conjunctive relationships(+) and the disjunctive(-) of the whole structure of visual expression. Finally, we certified that the above could be fully approved in terms of recent worldly cognitive scientic psychological discoveries.

  • 현재 컴퓨터와 관련된 거의 모든 업무처리가 데이터베이스에 의존하고 있을 정도로 데이터베이스 시스템의 사용이 확산 되어 있으며 중요도도 높아지고 있다. 현재 상용화된 공개용 DBMS를 기준으로 대용량 데이터베이스에 대한 벤치마크 테스트 결과는 많이 주어져 있지만, 각종 프로그래밍 언어를 이용해 처리속도를 비교 분석한 연구 결과가 많이 알려져 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 오라클을 이용하여 Visual Basic, Visual C++, ASP 언어에 대해 데이터베이스 처리시간을 비교 분석하였다.

THE EFFECTS OF ZINC DURING VISUAL ADAPTATION OF VERTEBRATE EYE

  • Zinc plays a key role in genetic expression, cell division, and growth and is essential for the function of more than 200 enzymes; effects of zinc deficiency induce many syndromes, including abnormal visual adaptation. The pigment epithelium (EP) contains high concentrations of zinc in humans and in animals and it participates in threshold elevation, visual sensitivity increment, and acceleration of rhodopsin regeration during visual adaptation. The origin of c-wave of electroretinogram(ERG) is not only pigment epithelium as shown in present research, but also other cell layers, perhaps the photoreceptors. We propose zinc as a candidate for an internal messenger which participates in signal amplification.

  • Spatial image processing software requires various user interactions to make a plan, prepare necessary data such as images, vectors, ancillary data and user-defined data, execute functions according to pre-defined procedures, analyze and store the results. In this manner, overall processes are controlled by user interactions. In this paper, we propose visual modeler which has the automated spatial image processing technique to minimize user interactions and re -use repeatable procedure. The proposed visual modeler is designed to use inter-operable components proposed by OpenGIS consortium as well as conventional COM components.

  • 프로그래밍 초보자는 C언어를 처음 배울 때 여러 가지 면에서 어려움을 겪는다. 그 이유 중의 하나는 C 언어 문법 이해에 대한 학생들의 학습 부담이 크고, 문제 해결보다는 문법에 치중하는 경향이 있다. 또한 소프트웨어 개발에 대한 흥미를 유발시킬 수 있는 프로그래밍 도메인이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 문제 해결 중심의 C언어 교육을 지원하는 프로그래밍 환경을 제시한다. 이를 위하여 첫째, NXT 로봇프로그래밍용 간단한 비주얼 프로그래밍 언어 Tiny-VPL을 정의하고, Tiny-VPL로 로봇프로그래밍을 할 수 있는 환경을 제시하며, 둘째 간단한 C 언어인 Mini-C언어를 사용하여 NXT 로봇 프로그래밍을 할 수 있는 환경을 제시한다. 그리고 Tiny-VPL을 Mini-C로 변환하며, 변환결과를 대화형으로 제공하는 그래픽 인터페이스를 제시한다. 개발된 프로그래밍 환경은 로봇 프로그래밍을 통하여 학생들의 흥미를 유발할 수 있고, 비주얼언어와 C언어 사이의 관계를 그래픽으로 제공하여 문제 해결 중심의 C 언어 교육에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다.

  • 최근 소프트웨어의 주요 알고리즘 및 자료구조 등의 지적재산권을 역공학 분석과 같이 악의적인 공격들로부터 보호하기 위한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 산업 현장에서 많이 사용되는 Visual C++ 또는 MFC로 작성된 프로그램의 소스 코드를 역공학 공격으로부터 보호하기 위한 Obfuscation 도구를 구현하고 그 성능을 평가한다. 구현된 도구는 3가지 Obfuscation 알고리즘을 적용하여 소스 코드를 생성하며 생성된 소스 코드들은 가독성이 떨어지고 역공학 분석이 어렵도록 변환되지만, 프로그램의 본래 기능은 그대로 유지하며 성능상의 변화가 크지 않음을 실험을 통해 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Visual relationship understanding in computer vision allows to recognize meaningful relationships between objects in a scene. This technology enables the extraction of representative information within visual content. We discuss the technology of visual relationship understanding, specifically focusing on videos. We first introduce visual relationship understanding concepts in videos and then explore the latest existing techniques. Next, we present benchmark datasets commonly used in video visual relationship understanding. Finally, we discuss future research directions in video visual relationship understanding.
