A Study on Visual Clarity According to Color Temperature of LEDs (LED의 색온도에 따른 밝음의 느낌에 관한 연구)

  • We studied visual clarity according to the difference of color temperature by using black and white printed paper and four sheets of colored paper under LEDs. We tested students in their twenties, under 3,000, 4,000, 5,700 and 6,500K LEDs (Ra=80). The results show visual clarity is proportioned to color temperature.

  • The Direct Arm(DDA) is a SCARA typed direct drive manipulator with three degree of freedom(DOF) using the direct motor of the NSK company. In the paper, we propose a convenient interface for the SCARA-type robot which is practical to use. The proposed Visual Robot Teaching Mode using 3D graphics replaces the current teaching box. And besides this graphical teaching software can be implemented on the PC which is company used as a robot controller. This program was developed for the Windows 95 OS.

  • Optical visual cryptography was proposed by conjunction of the optical theory with the cryptography. However, it had some difficulties. The problems occurred in the process of transferring data processing system from visual to optics. Therefore, it is appropriate to approach these problems in terms of optics. The results show that the optical visual cryptography system has both the effectiveness and reliability as well as real-time implementation property.

  • Optokinetic nystagmus(OKN) testing is an useful tool for assessment of human visual function. Specially, this method has been used for assessing visual function in infants and malingering patients. OKN drum and OKN tape are the common devices currently used for clinical cases. In this paper, we present newly the automated and computerized method for the quantitative and objective assessment of visual acuity in OKN testing.

  • 영화<씬 시티>는 프랭크밀러 원작의 만화 '씬 시티'를 영화로 만든 작품이다. 흑백영상과 조명, 원색의 컬러와 뒤에 배경을 컴퓨터그래픽으로 배치함으로써 표현주의를 바탕으로 한 필름 느와르 장르와 원작의 컷을 사용하여 그래픽 노블 이미지를 영상으로 연출하였다. <씬 시티>를 분석하여 이를 통한 영상 미학적 특성과 비쥬얼 스토리텔링에 대해 살펴 볼 수 있는 연구라 사료된다.

  • 최근 월트 디즈니의 애니메이션 '겨울왕국 (Frozen, 2013)'은 주제곡 'Let it go'와 함께 전 세계적 열풍을 일으켰다. 뮤지컬 애니메이션 장르로 제작된 '겨울왕국'의 특성을 고찰하기 위해 '겨울왕국'을 소재로 제작된 뮤지컬, 무비컬, 뮤지컬 애니메이션을 사례로 하여 사례비교 분석코자 한다. 이를 통해 뮤지컬 애니메이션의 영상매체적 기능과 영상미학적 특성을 살펴볼 수 있는 연구라 사료된다.

  • Visual defect inspection for electronics parts manufacturing processes is comprised of 2 steps - automatic visual inspection by machine and inspection by human inspectors. It is necessary that spatial points which were detected by the machine should be adequately clustered for subsequent human inspection. This research deals with the spatial clustering algorithm for the purpose of process productivity improvement. Distribution based clustering is newly developed and experimentally confirmed to show better clustering efficiency than existing algorithm - area based clustering.

  • Human visual emotion were investigated by analyzing HRV from ECG signals, which were varied by the visual stimuli. In this paper, twelve university students experienced visual emotion by pictures from IAPS. ECG and subjective rating were obtained for human emotion evaluation. For determination of HRV, ECG was extracted into HF and LF via power spectrum analysis. The results showed that HRV is good for discrimination between positive and negative emotions.

  • In this paper, PD-like visual servoing is modified in two ways: a sliding-mode observer is applied to estimate the joint velocities, and a RBF neural network is used to compensate the unknown gravity and friction. Based on Lyapunov method and input--to-state stability theory, we prove that PD-like visual servoing with the sliding mode observer and the neuro compensator is robust stable when the gain of the PD controller is bigger than the upper bounds of the uncertainties. Several simulations are presented to support the theory results.
