  • 대역폭이 보장되지 않는 인터넷 상에서 대용량의 멀티미디어 데이터를 실시간으로 서비스하는 것은 여러가지 문제점을 안고 있다. 이에 미디어 데이터의 전송량을 줄이기 위한 연구로서 layered coding을 통한 스케일러블 전송에 대한 연구가 시도되었다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG 비디오 스트림의 스케일러블 전송을 가능케 하기 위하여 Temporal-Fidelity Scaling 기법을 제안하며, MPEG-4 Visual Component에서의 적용 방법에 대해 제안하고자 한다.

  • The objective of this paper is to develop a finite element structural analysis program using VB(Visual Basic) which has been recently getting popular as development tools of application program for Windows. VB provides several functions to develop an application program easily by supporting event-driven programming method and graphic object as control data type. This system is an integrated processor including preprocessor, solver and postprocessor. Automatic mesh generation is available at preprocess stage, and graphic presentation of deformation and stress is also represented at postprocess one.

  • In this paper, we propose a volumetric computational reconstruction method by use of smart pixel mapping technique in the computational integral imaging in order to overcome the problem of resolution degradation. The experimental results are presented to show the usefulness of our proposed technique.

  • Objectives : This study is designed to evaluate the effect of Hyun-Ga therapy for the scoliosis patient with Lumbago. Methods : After treatment with Hyun-Ga therapy compared with Cobb's angle and Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Results : After six treatments with Hyun-Ga therapy in one case, significant decrease in Cobb's angle and Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was observed. Conclusions : Hyun-Ga therapy might be effective for the scoliosis patient with Lumbago. It will be attempted to more patients in the future.

  • This study is an attempt to investigate effect of pitch treatment program using visual feedback for profound deaf adults. Dr. Speech program was applied as a training tool. The subjects of this study were 3 profound deaf adults. Speech samples for evaluation were vowel prolongations and connected speech. Analysis was performed under the principle of single subject research design. As results of this study, all subjects showed the treatment effects which were represented by lowering fundamental frequency and speaking fundamental frequency.

  • This paper describes a visual control of autonomous vehicle using neural network. Visual control for road-following of autonomous vehicle is based on road image from camera. Road points on image are inputs of controller and vehicle speed and steering angle are outputs of controller using neural network. Simulation study confirmed the visual control of road-following using neural network. For experimental test, autonomous electric vehicle is designed and driving test is realized

  • The purpose of this project is to develop the visual servoing system with 5d.o.f robot manipulator. For this, we developed robot manipulator by using 5 serial RC motors and the visual system is also developed by using low cost USB CCD camera. RISC MPU ATMEGA128 is main controller MPU for the robot manipulator. To control the manipulator Kinematics was analyzed and GUI, API for vision system also were developed.

  • Pilot and flight crew visual performance in general aviation aircraft operating is paramount for safe operation of the aircraft. Pilot compartment view, instrument and cockpit lighting forms an essential aspect of this visual performance, and therefore warrants guidance and standardization. This study introduces acceptable design criteria for pilot compartment view, instrument and cockpit illumination for general aviation aircraft.
