Purpose: Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination schedule is recommended by Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization of World Health Organization to achieve high efficacy and immunogenicity. However, the patients often cannot keep up their schedule for several reasons. Methods: Monthly numbers of visitors for HPV vaccination between 2019 and 2021 were analyzed to measure the impact of coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) outbreak which was the main cause of this delay. Results: In February 2020, the number of foreign patients vaccinated with HPV was dropped suddenly due to COVID-19. Prior to this impact, the average patients per month for HPV vaccination was 160 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 143-176). It was then 30 (95% CI: 20-40). However recent trends show a gradual recovery. Conclusion: If a woman is pregnant after starting the HPV vaccine series, the reminder doses should be delayed until she is no longer pregnant. If this series is interrupted for any length of time, it can be resumed without restarting the series. HPV vaccine series need to be administered with a minimum interval of 14 days before or after administration of COVID-19 vaccines.

The purpose of this study was to provide a bases for comfort of patient through of measuring the noise level in emergency room and grasping the perception to noise of inpatient. Data on noise level through sound level meter in ER and patients' perception of the noise through a structured questionnaire and were collected from August 21 to September 5 in 1998. And collected data were analyzed with SAS statistics progeam, descriptive statistic, t-test and ANOVA. The result of examination is as follows : 1. Among a noise level of measured highest was 64.6dB(A) in 'rounding of medical teams', the lowest was 54.8dB(A) in 'traffic noise from outside'. 2. The mean score of noise perception was 0.93. Among a kind of noise reported by the subjects, that which ranked highest was 'conversation of patients' caregiver and visitors'(1.75). The ranked lowest was 'noise of airconditioner'(0.59). 3. The relationship between perception of noise and subjects' characteristics was not significient. Therefore, based on this result, ways require to decrease the noise level in emergency department.
Objectives The purpose of this study was to find out the characteristics of children patients who had been treated in the Oriental Medical Hospital due to traffic accidents. Methods The study was carried out with 121 children patients who visited the Oriental Medical Hospital from April 2011 to March 2012 and was analyzed by reviewing the patients' charts. Results In the distribution of sex the ratio between boys and girls were similar, but regarding the age, 0~6 year-old group was more than that of 7~15 year-old group. In the traffic accident patterns, 87.6% of the entire children patients were injured by car crash. The highest type in the collision between cars was rear-ending impact. The most patients (48.8%) visited our hospital for oriental medical treatment in less than 3 days after the traffic accident. The number of the first visitors in the Oriental Medical Hospital were 77 (63.6%) and those who visited other western hospitals before and were 44 (36.4%). The most frequent duration of admission and treatment in OPD was less than 7 days. Sleeping disorders (37.1%) were diagnosed the highest in 0~6 year-old group and C-spine sprain (49.0%) was diagnosed the highest at 0~7 years-old group. Herb medications were prescribed to relieve anxiety for 0~6 year-old group and for 7~15 year-old group, those were prescribed to activate blood eliminating phlegm and to normalize Qi flow. The highest effective treatment period was less than 7 days. Conclusions This data suggested that the oriental medical care could be more effective in treating children victims of traffic accidents by confirming many different symptoms depending on the age.
Background : Previous studies have reported that enhanced continuity of care prevented a sudden worsening in progress among chronic disease patients, and as a result was favorable for efficient spending of health care funds. This study aims to estimate the continuity of care of Korean with diabetes and to identify factors affecting the continuity of care. Methods : This study used the Korean National Health Insurance Claims Database which includes E11 (ICD-10) as a primary or secondary disease as of 2006. Study population is 1,160,725 type 2 diabetics (20-84 years). Continuity of Care Index (COC), Modified, Modified Continuity Index (MMCI), and Most Frequent Provider Continuity (MFPC) were used as indexes of continuity of care. Results : The continuity of care in the study population was $0.94{\pm}0.10$ as calculated by MMCI, $0.91{\pm}0.16$ as calculated by MFPC and $0.86{\pm}0.23$ as calculated by COC. The lower continuity of care was shown in the patients who were female, 65 and over years old, Medical Aid recipients, 13 times or more visitors, hospital users as main attending medical institution, patients experienced hospitalizations or comorbidities. Conclusion : The continuity of care for adult patients with type 2 diabetes was high in Korea, and showed variation according to patients' characteristics. This result provides empirical evidence for policymakers to develop or strengthen programs for managing patients showing low continuity of care.
The purpose of the study is (i) to investigate the operating situation of physical therapy department in public health centers, (ii) to analyze the difference of elderly satisfaction from non-elderly satisfaction of physical therapy services among the public health center visitors, and finally (iii) to suggest facilitating improvement on programs that can supply the elderly health service through public health centers. A questionnaire survey was carried out 212 patients of 25 public health center in Seoul, Korea from 15 July to 10 August 1996. Major results of the study are as follows : 1. Among the respondents. the largest group was the elderly who are over 65 years old (72.6%). 2. The averge of general patients' satisfaction for physical therapy services was 3.98, especially fee of treatment(4.76), attitude of physical therapist(4.33), and reliance of physical therapist(4.20) were higher by 5-score Likert scale. 3. The correlation factors with general patients' satisfaction were process of treatment (r =.6301). results of treatment(r=. 6186), and guide facilities(r=.5999). 4. The results of multiple-regression analysis between general patients' satisfaction and affecting factors identify following variables as the statically significant determinants : general stisfaction comparing with other physical therapy services, physical therapy services using forwardly, fee of treatment. 5. There was no significant defference between elderly and non-elderly patients' satisfaction of physical therapy service, except attitude of physical therapist(t=-2.07), explanation of treatment for disease(t=-2.19), fee of treatment(t=6.29).
As respiratory syncytial virus(RSV) is transmitted either via directly contact with an infected case or via indirectly contaminated fomites or skin, the major preventive measures are strict hand hygiene, early detection of transmitted sources, and rapid isolation of RSV patients. Especially early detection of hidden cases is the most critical control measure when an index case was notified in a postpartum center. The Guideline of Korea Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention defines potential contacts in an epidemiologic survey as admitted newborns, parents of index cases, center's workers, and visitors for 10 days before the first diagnosis day of index case. However, it needs to classify potential contacts in more detail in order to conduct a successful survey. Authors conducted to search related literatures and appraise the evidences. Firstly, potential contacts would be classified into RSV-related symptomatic contacts(SxC) and asymptomatic contacts. And then, mother, caring workers, and visitors of the index cases among asymptomatic contacts would be defined as the asymptomatic close contacts(ASCC). Finally, the rest would be defined as the asymptomatic regular contacts(ASRC). The defined test using reverse transcription-PCR is applied to SxC and ASCC, and decision of isolation or regular activities are made according to the results. The rapid antigen detection test kits are applied to ASRC. These suggestions might be helpful to detect hidden cases earlier and prevent a further infection.

In this study and design, I explore the visual communication design process related to wayfinding in Wonkwang University Hospital in Iksan City. The purpose for designing an integrated is to graphically communicate the complex information. I have designed a graphic information system combining graphic elements such as typography, color, image and text layout, and graphic image to present interpretive and communicative processes. As a result of designing, the wayfinding is s term used to describe the program of applying environmental graphics and or architectural sign systems. In other words, wayfinding is the art of helping people find their way by utilizing visual communications such as signs, directories, landmarks, edges, paths and so on. Wayfinding can also be explained as the ability to know where one is in space and how to find one's way through space. Wayfinding design then becomes a systematic arrangement of the variables that allows patients and visitors to successfully find their desired destinations, especially in a hospital.

Purpose: The ward division is a representative part of the hospital, where a variety of user activities are performed. Users can be broadly categorized as patients and carers, visitors, and medical staff (doctors and nurses). The relationship between these two is a major issue with ward planning as the patient's place of life centers around the hospital room and the task of the clinical workforce centers around the nursing station (NS). Against this backdrop, the study divides the ward units of the General Hospital of China into patient areas, medical team areas, supply areas, and public domain, with the focus on the ward areas affecting most significantly in the hospital patients. Methods: The theoretical advance studies of the standard ward unit are identified by the associated guidelines, articles, and documentation. Results: This study is a summary analysis of relevant regulations, reference literature, and drawing data from the target hospital. Further work is expected to be undertaken, including further surveys and observational surveys, to produce more detailed results. Implications: It is expected that the research in this paper will provide an effective reference for the future research of China General Hospital Ward department, so as to promote and improve the work system of China General Hospital Ward department.
Purposes: The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the effect of the attitude of medical staff providing medical services on the treatment satisfaction of the patients who experienced outpatient care at the hospitals and clinics. In particular, it was verified whether the courtesy of the medical staff to the outpatients has moderated the effect of the medical staff's explanation on the treatment satisfaction. Methodology: After controlling the socio-demographic factors of the outpatients with their treatment and waiting time, multiple regression analyses were conducted to figure out the effect of the attitude of the medical staff on the treatment satisfaction. And the covariance analyses were adopted to verify the moderating effect of the variables of the medical staff. Findings: At both hospitals and clinics, all attitudes of medical staff such as the way they explain to and communicate with the patients, and their courtesy showed positive effects on treatment satisfaction. Among them, the courtesy of the medical staff was the most influential variable on the satisfaction of the treatment, and it only had the control power over the effect of the way they explain on the treatment satisfaction. Practical Implication: Among the medical staff's attitudes toward patients at hospital or clinic level, the courtesy of doctors and nurses is an important factor in improving treatment satisfaction. In particular, if the level of their courtesy is low among the medical services rendered at the clinics, the satisfaction level will decrease even if the level of explanation of the medical staff is high. Therefore, in terms of hospital management, treatment satisfaction can be improved when doctors and nurses provide medical services to visitors with polite, humble and friendly manner in explaining to and communicating with the patients.
Objective: OSAS (obstructive sleep apnea syndrome) is a common disorder and its consequences are often serious. It is important to detect the disorder early in the course for proper treatment. This study is to grasp the snoring clinic visitors' knowledge level of OSAS. Method: One hundred and seventy-nine visitors at the of snoring clinic of Seoul National University Hospital were surveyed by questionnaire about reasons of visit and knowledge of treatment methods of snoring and OSAS, diagnostic method, OSAS-related symptoms, and complications. Results: Most of the respondents (89.4%) "have already heard about OSAS" and the major sources of information was the mass media (58.1%) such as television and radio. More than half (60.3%) were aware that snoring is closely related to OSAS. More than half (59.8%) recognized that a nocturnal polysomnograpy was necessary for proper diagnosis. Two thirds (67%) of the respondents noted surgery as a treatment for snoring. More than half (55.9%) answered that they would follow the doctor's advice on the treatment choice. Only 12.3% of respondents "have heard about nCPAP". No one chose nCPAP (nasal continuous positive airway pressure) as a treatment for either snoring or OSAS. About one third (34.6%) of the respondents were aware that OSAS is related to hypertension. Only 12.8% noted that OSAS is related to diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: Visitors at the snoring clinic were found to have substantially limited knowledge of health risks and proper treatments of OSAS. We suggest that it is crucially important to educate patients and offer easy-to-understand information on snoring and OSAS. We predict that provision of educaiton and information to patients and general public will faciliate the diagnosis and treatment of snoring and OSAS and reduce the related disorders such as hypertension, stroke, and diabetes mellitus.
