The purpose of this study is to evaluate the present workfamily balance policy and suggest a vision for moving forward. First, this study identified the scope of the workfamily balance policy and assessed the importance of this policy in relation to other family-related policies. Second, we evaluated the workfamily balance policy from the perspective of family resource management. Third, we suggested orientations and strategies for better policymaking from this same viewpoint.

Third generation mobile radio systems (3G) are currently being deployed in different regions of the world. Future systems beyond 3G are already under discussion in international bodies and forums such as ITU, WWRF and R&D programs of the European Union and in other regions. These systems will determine the research and standardization activities in mobile and wireless communication in the next years. Based on the experience of 3G future systems will be developed mainly from the user perspective with respect to potential services and applications including traffic demands. Therefore, the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF) was launched in 2001 as a global and open initiative of manufacturers, network operators, SMEs, R&D centers and the academic domain. WWRF is focused on the vision of such systems the Wireless World - and potential key technologies. This paper describes the international context of activities on systems beyond third generation, the goals, objectives and structure of WWRF, the user perspective as the starting point for a future system design and the key enabling technologies for the Wireless World.

At 3-D vision measuring, the camera calibration is necessary to calculate parameters accurately. Camera calibration was developed widely in two categories. One is that establishes reference points in space, and the other is that uses the grid type frame and statistical method. But, the former has difficult to setup reference points and the latter has low accuracy. Vision is the most important sensing capability for both men and sensory smart machines, such as intelligent robots. Sensed real 3D world and its 2D camera image can be related mathematically by a process called camera calibration. In this paper, we present a novel linear solution of camera calibration. Unlike most existing linear calibration methods, the proposed technique of this paper can identify camera parameters explicitly. Through the step-by-step procedure of the proposed method, the real physical elements of the perspective projection transformation matrix between 3D points and the corresponding 2D image points can be identified. This explicit solution will be useful for many practical 3D sensing applications including robotics. We verified the proposed method by using various cameras of different conditions.

The main purpose of this study is to search a new perspective of environmental education through investigating of alternative education. Environmental education is introduced by needs of society for an effective way of solving environmental problems. But it also has a meaningfulness which is internal need of education for proposing and fostering ecological human corresponds with crisis of modernism. In spite of excessive rhetoric, vision of formal environmental education is very negative. Formal environmental education is restricted to optional course. So, its potential isn't fulfil. Education is both part of the problem and the solution. Education is proclaimed at high level as the key to a more sustainable society and yet it daily plays a part in reproducing an unsustainable society. If environmental education is to fulfil its potential as an agent of environmental problem solution, it becomes both part of the ideal and the practice of education. In this point, alternative education is a model of what environmental education ought to be. Environmental education and alternative education have a common ground in end of education and critical position to the modern education system.

An outsider's perspective is often illuminating and enlightening, as he or she perceives the world differently from us, and sees things that insiders tend to miss. While an outsider's views are fresh and penetrating, an insider's vision is often banal and myopic. Although outsiders' perspectives may not be quite right at times, they always shed light and provide insight, allowing us to reevaluate the conventional interpretations of our literature and folktales. In order to prevent our own understanding and knowledge from growing stale and narrow-minded, we should endeavor to consider outsiders' opinions and view all things from multiple angles. When reading literary or cultural texts, therefore, we need to read through others' eyes because it provides alternative perspectives. And we should learn to co-exist with others and see things from others' eyes. In his celebrated novel, My Name Is Red, Orhan Pamuk, the Turkish Nobel Laureate, explores the themes of clashes between the East and the West, the young and the old, and conservatism and radicalism. The confrontation between the stubborn defenders of tradition and the self-righteous innovators ultimately results in bigotry, hatred and murder. As Pamuk aptly perceives in his novel, the inevitable outcome of such uncompromising conflict is degradation of humanity and annihilation of human civilization. That is precisely why we need to embrace others who are different from us and learn to look through others' eyes. Sometimes, we fear other voices and different perspectives. As the movie "The Others" suggests, however, there is no reason for us to be afraid of others.

The integration of intelligent robots into manufacturing systems should positively impact the product quality and productivity. A new theory of object location and recognition using the supporting plane is presented. The unknown supporting points are determined by image coordinates, known camera parameters, and joint coordinates of the robot manipulators. This is developed by using the geometrical interpretation of perspective projection and the geometrical constraints of industrial environments. This can be applied to solve typical robot vision problems such as determination of position, orientation, and recognition of objects.

This paper describes a method of calculating the viewing parameters of a camera using a perspective view of a circular pattern. The proposed method determines the angle of pan, tilt, and swing, as well as the distance from the camera to the reference point of a world coordinate system, using simple equations. The proposed method is so simple and accurate that when used in a well-controled environment as in robot vision systems or visual inspection systems it may even seem trivial.

본 논문에서는 영상의 카메라 파라미터가 필요 없는 역 투시변환 기술 및 제안한 차선필터를 사용하여 경사진 도로 환경에서도 강인한 실시간 차선 검출방법을 제안한다. 영상의 시작 프레임에서 소실점을 찾은 후, 소실점 주변의 일정영역을 템플릿(TA: Template Area)으로 저장하며, 소실점을 기준으로 하단으로 내려가면서 차선을 예측하고, 예측된 차선을 기반으로 역 투시변환계수를 추출하여 추출된 계수로 원근감이 제거된 영상을 얻으며, 바로 그 영상에 제안한 차선필터를 적용하여 차선을 검출한다. 경사진 도로환경에서도 강인한 차선 검출을 위하여 입력영상으로 부터 TA와 유사한 영역(SA: Similar Area)을 템플릿 매칭으로 추적하여 소실점을 재계산하여 차선을 검출한다. 제안한 방법은 경사진 도로 환경에서도 차선검출이 견고하며, 처리영역을 축소하고 처리과정을 단순화함으로서 초당 40 frames 정도의 양호한 차선검출 결과를 보였다.

세계 모든 나라들에 '어린이를 위한' 혹은 '어린이가 주인공인' 영화들이 있다. 하지만 각각의 문화권마다 어린이 영화를 다루는 방식이나 시각의 차이가 존재한다. 예를 들어 미국의 어린이 영화를 대표하는 디즈니는 주로 어린이와 가족의 오락성과 즐거움을 만족시키는 것이 목적인 반면 중국에서의 어린이 영화는 아동의 교육적 역할을 더 중시하는 편이다. 문화권마다의 특색과는 관계없이 일반적 의미에서의 어린이 영화는 수용 대상이 어린이이며 어린이를 위해 창작되는 영화를 일컫는다. 하지만, 이란 영화에서 어린이를 소재, 주제 혹은 수용자로 상정하여 접근하는 방식은 또다른 특색이 있다. 주로 극중의 주요인물로서 어린이가 등장하여 그만의 독특한 시각으로 배경이 되는 사회현상과 영화를 관통하는 서사에 대한 해석과 관점을 제시한다. 어린이의 눈을 통해 어른의 세계를 바라보고 현실을 반영하고 창작자의 의도를 간접적으로 표현하며 어린이의 시각적 언어를 통해 창작자의 사상을 간접적으로 전달하는 것이다. 어린이 시각의 활용은 일종의 특별한 전략으로 이란 영화가 특수한 창작 환경 속에서 생존할 수 있는 길을 열어주었으며, 이란 영화만의 주요한 특징으로 자리매김하였다. 이러한 어린이 사각을 보여주는 이란 영화들 중에 대표적으로 마지드 마지디의 영화들이 있다. 그의 영화에서 어린이 시각은 그만의 연출양식으로 주목할만한 것인데 단편영화, 다큐멘터리와 해외 제작 영화 제외한 9편의 영화 중 어린이 영화가 5편으로 중요한 비중을 차지한다. 본 연구는 마지드 마지디의 영화들에서 보여지는 어린이 시각에 대해 고찰한다. 마지드 마지디의 영화 속 어린이 시각의 활용을 살펴보면서 이것이 어떻게 이란영화의 일반성으로 확대되어 이란 영화의 중요한 한 흐름을 자리잡게 되었는지 살펴본다.
