In this study, we have developed a mobile-based visible/NIR(Near InfraRed) imaging equipment for the animal testing. This equipment can provide visible, NIR and merged image through the viewer program. Especially, merged image help researcher to understand visual messages at animal in-vivo test. Also, it is available to send real-time images through the smart phone. Researcher can communicate with another researcher who is a long distance away. Also, the equipment was made with portable small size to enable it to commercialize.
This study was conducted to examine the relationships among various visible clues and non-visible clues as perceived by franchise family restaurant consumers. Using online survey tool in South Korea, total 450 survey was distributed and 400 participants were used for further statistical analysing with SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 20.0. Twelve items were categorized into four visible factors (food, interior, exterior, employee). The result shows that food and employee have positive effects on brand reputation and distinctiveness, and the interior and employee were critical antecedents for brand distinctiveness. In addition, the brand reputation and brand distinctiveness have positive influence on experiential value as well as revisit intention. Although there were many studies which demonstrated the relationships among various quality clues and other outcome variables, such as brand image, loyalty, little research explained the relationships among visible elements of franchise family restaurants, brand reputation, brand distinctiveness, and revisit intention. The present study will provide theoretical and practical implications for both academia and the franchise family restaurant industry. (what is the meaning of the red part?)

An enhanced 360-degree integral-floating three-dimensional display system using a hexagonal lens array and a hidden point removal operator is proposed. Only the visible points of the chosen three-dimensional point cloud model are detected by the hidden point removal operator for each rotating step of the anamorphic optics system, and elemental image arrays are generated for the detected visible points from the corresponding viewpoint. Each elemental image of the elemental image array is generated by a hexagonal grid, due to being captured through a hexagonal lens array. The hidden point removal operator eliminates the overlap problem of points in front and behind, and the hexagonal lens array captures the elemental image arrays with more accurate approximation, so in the end the quality of the displayed image is improved. In an experiment, an anamorphic-optics-system-based 360-degree integral-floating display with improved image quality is demonstrated.

A multi-rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system is developed to solve the manhole cover detection problem for the infrastructure maintenance in the suburbs of big city. The visible light sensor is employed to collect the ground image data and a series of image processing and machine learning methods are used to detect the manhole cover. First, the image enhancement technique is employed to improve the imaging effect of visible light camera. An imaging environment perception method is used to increase the computation robustness: the blind Image Quality Evaluation Metrics (IQEMs) are used to percept the imaging environment and select the images which have a high imaging definition for the following computation. Because of its excellent processing effect the adaptive Multiple Scale Retinex (MSR) is used to enhance the imaging quality. Second, the Single Shot multi-box Detector (SSD) method is utilized to identify the manhole cover for its stable processing effect. Third, the spatial coordinate of manhole cover is also estimated from the ground image. The practical applications have verified the outdoor environment adaptability of proposed algorithm and the target detection correctness of proposed system. The detection accuracy can reach 99% and the positioning accuracy is about 0.7 meters.

Purpose : To evaluate the usefulness of electronic portal imaging device through objective compare of the images acquired using an EPID and a conventional port film Materials and Methods : From Apr. to Oct. 1997, a total of 150 sets of images from 20 patients who received radiation therapy in the pelvis area were evaluated in the Inha University Hospital and Severance Hospital. A dual image recording technique was devised to obtain both electronic portal images and port film images simultaneously with one treatment course. We did not perform double exposure five to ten images were acquired from each patient. All images were acquired from posteroanterior (PA) view except images from two patients. A dose rate of 100-300 Mu/min and a 10-MV X-ray beam were used and 2-10 MUs were required to produce a verification image during treatment. Kodak diagnostic film with metal/film imaging cassette which was located on the top of the EPID detector was used for the port film. The source to detector distance was 140 cm. Eight anatomical landmarks (pelvic brim, sacrum, acetabulum. iliopectineal line, symphysis, ischium, obturator foramen, sacroiliac joint) were assessed. Four radiation oncologist joined to evaluate each image. The individual landmarks in the port film or in the EPID were rated - very clear (1), clear (2), visible (3), not clear (4), not visible (5). Results : Using an video camera based EPID system. there was no difference of image quality between no enhanced EPID images and port film images. However, when we provided some change with window level for the portal image, the visibility of the sacrum and obturator foramen was improved in the portal images than in the port film images. All anatomical landmarks were more visible in the portal images than in the port film when we applied the CLAHE mode enhancement. The images acquired using an matrix ion chamber type EPID were also improved image qualify after window level adjustment. Conclusion : The quality of image acquired using an electronic portal imaging device was comparable to that of the port film. When we used the enhance mode or window level adjustment. the image quality of the EPID was superior to that of the port film. EPID may replace the port film.

In recent years, along with the rapid development of LED technology, indoor positioning systems based on visible light communication (VLC) have been researched. In this paper, we propose an accurate indoor positioning method using white-light LEDs and a dual image sensor. Indoor LED lights are located at the ceiling in a room and broadcast information on their positions using VLC technology. A mobile device with a dual image sensor receives LED position information by VLC and estimates its position and azimuth angle. Simulation and experimental results are given to show the performance of the proposed indoor positioning system.
In the pursuit of enhancing image fusion techniques, this research presents a novel approach for fusing multimodal images, specifically infrared (IR) and visible (VIS) images, utilizing a combination of partial differential equations (PDE) and discrete cosine transformation (DCT). The proposed method seeks to leverage the thermal and structural information provided by IR imaging and the fine-grained details offered by VIS imaging create composite images that are superior in quality and informativeness. Through a meticulous fusion process, which involves PDE-guided fusion, DCT component selection, and weighted combination, the methodology aims to strike a balance that optimally preserves essential features and minimizes artifacts. Rigorous evaluations, both objective and subjective, are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the approach. This research contributes to the ongoing advancement of multimodal image fusion, addressing applications in fields like medical imaging, surveillance, and remote sensing, where the marriage of IR and VIS data is of paramount importance.
In recent years, application of UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) to seed sowing and pest control has been actively carried out in the field of agriculture. In this study, UAS(Unmanned Aerial System) is constructed by combining image sensor of various wavelength band and SfM((Structure from Motion) based image analysis technique in UAV. Utilization of UAS based vegetation survey was investigated and the applicability of precision farming was examined. For this purposes, a UAS consisting of a combination of a VIS_RGB(Visible Red, Green, and Blue) image sensor, a modified BG_NIR(Blue Green_Near Infrared Red) image sensor, and a TIR(Thermal Infrared Red) sensor with a wide bandwidth of $7.5{\mu}m$ to $13.5{\mu}m$ was constructed for a low cost UAV. In addition, a total of ten vegetation indices were selected to investigate the chlorophyll, nitrogen and water contents of plants with visible, near infrared, and infrared wavelength's image sensors. The images of each wavelength band for the test area were analyzed and the correlation between the distribution of vegetation index and the vegetation index were compared with status of the previously surveyed vegetation and ground cover. The ability to perform vegetation state detection using images obtained by mounting multiple image sensors on low cost UAV was investigated. As the utility of UAS equipped with VIS_RGB, BG_NIR and TIR image sensors on the low cost UAV has proven to be more economical and efficient than previous vegetation survey methods that depend on satellites and aerial images, is expected to be used in areas such as precision agriculture, water and forest research.
A variety of medical service applications in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) are being studied. Segmentation is important to identify meaningful regions in images and is also required in 3D images. Previous methods have been based on gray value and shape. The Visible Korean dataset consists of serially sectioned high-resolution color images. Unlike computed tomography or magnetic resonance images, automatic segmentation of color images is difficult because detecting an object's boundaries in colored images is very difficult compared to grayscale images. Therefore, skilled anatomists usually segment color images manually or semi-automatically. We present an out-of-core 3D segmentation method for large-scale image datasets. Our method can segment significant regions in the coronal and sagittal planes, as well as the axial plane, to produce a 3D image. Our system verifies the result interactively with a multi-planar reconstruction view and a 3D view. Our system can be used to train unskilled anatomists and medical students. It is also possible for a skilled anatomist to segment an image remotely since it is difficult to transfer such large amounts of data.
The first geostationary satellite in Korea, COMS (Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite), has been operating properly since its successful completion of the IOT (In Orbit Test). COMS MI (Meteorological Imager) acquires Earth observation images from visible and infrared channels. This paper describes a method to compute the degradation of the COMS visible detectors and the result of the degradation during the two years of the operation. The visible channel detectors' performance was determined based on the comparison between the instrument-based measurements and ROLO model-based values. The degradation rate of the visible channel detectors of COMS MI showed a normal condition.
