  • The part Ⅰ was for developing regression models to predict the moisture content, protein content and viscosity of brown and milled rice using Near Unfrared (NIR) Reflectance analyzer. The purpose of this study(part Ⅱ) is to measure fundamental data required for the prediction of rice quality , and to develop regression models to predict the protein content of brown and milled rice, brown rice yield from undreid paddy powder by using Near Infrared (NIR) Reflectance analyzer. The results of this study were summarized as follows . The predicted values of protein contents obtained from the undried paddy powder were will correlated to the measured values from brown and milled rice. The predicted yields of brown rice from undried paddy powder were not well correlated to be lab measured values from dried paddy. Continuous study in wavelength selection and of constituent relationship is necessary for practical application.

  • 본 논문에서는 자성입자인 막대 모양의 $\gamma$-$Fe_{2}O_{3}$$CrO_2$ 분산액에 대한 유변학적 거동을 조사하였다. 특히 입자의 농도와 전단속도의 변화에 따른 자성 입자 분산액의 점도 거동을 살펴봄으로써 분산액의 미세구조 상태 및 입자의 배향에 영향을 주는 입자의 모양이 점성 소모에 미치는 영향을 조사였는데, 평균장(mean field) 이론과 Mooney식을 통해 분산액의 점도 거동을 해석하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 모든 자성입자 분산액의 본성 점도가 희박 분산액의 수력학 이론으로부터 얻는 값보다 큰 것을 알 수가 있었는데, 이러한 사실은 분산액내에 자성입자의 고유한 인력에 기인하여 분산 용매를 내포하고 있는 덩어리(flocs)의 존재를 뒷받침하고 있다.

기계적 측정에 의한 호상요구르트의 관능특성 예측 (Prediction of Sensory Properties for the Stirred-type Fruit Yogurts by Instrumental Measurements)

  • 본 연구는 요구르트의 관능 특성과 기계적 측정과의 관계를 구명하여 기계적 측정으로 관능특성을 예측하기 위한 피시계수를 추정할 목적으로 실시하였다. 딸기, 복숭아, 열대 혼합과일 요구르트에 대한 관능특성은 점성, 조직감, 맛, 종합적 품질의 4항목으로하여 각각 평가하였으며, 기계적 parameter들은 Refractive index, Viscosity, Consistency, 경도, 부착성, 응집성, 탄력성, 껌성으로 특성을 산출하였다. 관능적 점성은 복숭아 요구르트가 발기와 열대 혼합과일 요구르트보다 다소 높았으며(p<.05), Refractive index와 Consistency의 경우에도 복숭아 요구르트가 가장높은 수치를 나타내었다(p<.05). 또한 경도, 부착성, 껌성에서 요구르트간 차이가 나타났다(p<.05). 관능적 점성과 기계적 측정과의 상관관제는 모든 요구르트에서 Viscosity, Consistency, 경도, 부착성과 유의적 상관관계가 있었으며(p<.05), 관능적 점성과 명성과의 상관관계는 복숭아와 열대 혼합과일 요구르트에서 나타났다(p<.05). 조직감, 맛, 품질과 기계적 측정과의 상간관계는 열대 혼합과일 요구르트에서 맛과 부착성에서만 유의적 관계(p<.05)가 나타났을 뿐 비교적 남은 관계를 보였다. 관능특성에 대한 기계적 요소의 다중회귀모형을 구한 결과, 관능적 점성$(Y_{1})$$Consistency(X_{1}),\;Viscosity(X_{2})$, 응집성($X_{3}$)으로, 조직감은 Consistency로 각각 표현될 수 있었으며, 추정된 회귀방정식은 다음과 같다.

  • In an effort to localize the spray-dryer which is markedly used for drying food materials, a experiment was carried out with a wheel type atomizer locally designed and manufactured to evaluate the effect of rotational speed, feed rate and physical properties of liquid food material on the droplet size, and to develop a model to predict the droplet size sprayed at various operational conditions. The result are summarized as follows. 1. The frequency of droplet size sprayed from the atomizer at every treatment were similar to normal distributions. 2. Under the test conditions adopted in this study, that is, rotational speed of the atomizer ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 rpm (55.0 m/sec - 73.3 m/sec), feed rate from 14 to 37 kg/hr and viscosity of the material from 1.14 to 350 cP, the mean volume-surface dia. of droplets was decreased as increase in rotational speed and was not affected significantly by the feed rate and viscosity. 3. Through the dimensional analysis, a prediction model was developed as follows : $$\frac{Dvs}{r}=K[\frac{Q}{{\mu}r}]^a[\frac{rN^2}{g}]^b[\frac{{\rho}^2r^3g}{{\mu}^2}]^c[\frac{L}{r}]^d$$ and it was proved that the above model was better in degree of fitness than other models reported. 4. A prediction equation for the droplet size sprayed from the atomizer under the test was expressed as follows : $$\frac{Dvs}{r}=0.0215[\frac{Q}{{\mu}r}]^{0.06}[\frac{rN^2}{g}]^{0.3314}[\frac{{\mu}^2}{{\rho}^2r^3g}]^{0.0158}$$.

  • 지능화, 고도화되어 제조되는 유사연료유는 차량 안전과 건전한 에너지 산업 육성을 저해시키고 있다는 점에서 문제가 되고 있다. 대표적인 유사경유 유형 중용제혼입의 경우는 적출과정에서 원료와 일반경유와의 혼입율을 조제시험을 통해 확인하고 있는데, 원료확보와 분석에 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 예상 유사경유원료를 조사하고 주요 물성에 대한 분석을 근거로 관계식을 도출하였으며, 실제 분석을 대체할 수 있는 예측 프로그램을 제작하였다.

  • A modified k-$\epsilon$ model is proposed for calculation of transitional boundary layer flows. In order to develop the eddy viscosity model for the problem, the flow is divided into three regions; namely, pre-transition region, transition region and fully turbulent region. The pre-transition eddy-viscosity is formulated by extending the mixing Length concept. In the transition region, the eddy-viscosity model employs two length scales, i.e., pre-transition length scale and turbulent length scale pertaining to the regions upstream and the downstream, respectively, and a university model of stream-wise intermittency variation is used as a function bridging the pre-transition region and the fully turbulent region. The proposed model is applied to calculate three benchmark cases of the transitional boundary layer flows with different free-stream turbulent intensity ( $1\%{\~}6\%$ ) under zero-pressure gradient. It was found that the profiles of mom velocity and turbulent intensity, local maximum of velocity fluctuations, their locations as well as the stream-wise variation of integral properties such as skin friction, shape factor and maximum velocity fluctuations are very satisfactorily Predicted throughout the flow regions.

  • Due to environmental concerns $CO_2$ has been reintroduced as a potential candidate to replace HFCs in refrigeration systems since 1990s. In a refrigeration cycle, oil is utilized in lubricating a compressor. However, although oil separators are installed after a compressor oil is prone to leak to the whole system. The mixing of $CO_2$ and oil, even a small amount of oil, the heat transfer performance in heat exchanger deteriorated and the pressure drop inside tube increases. Therefore, it is needed to precisely estimate the mixture thermodynamic properties of $CO_2$-lubricant oil to correctly design a $CO_2$ refrigeration system. The commonly used method in estimating the mixture properties is the mole based weighting model. However, the accuracy of the method can not be assured. In the present study, $CO_2$-lubricant oil mixture properties including viscosity and density were estimated by using the mixture models, based on the equation of state (EOS).

  • Two-dimensional solidification analysis during rheology forming process of semi-solid aluminum alloy has been studied. Two-phase flow model to investigate the velocity field and temperature distribution is proposed. The proposed mathematical model is applied to the die shape of the two types. To calculate the velocities and temperature fields during rheology forming process, the each governing equations correspondent to the liquid and solid region are adapted. Therefore, each numerical model considering the solid and liquid coexisting region within the semi-solid material have been developed to predict the defects of rheology forming parts. The Arbitrary Boundary Maker And Cell(ABMAC) method is employed to solve the two-Phase flow model of the Navier-Stokes equation. Theoretical model basis of the two-phase flow model is the mixture rule of solid and liquid phases. This approach is based on using the liquid and solid viscosity. The Liquid viscosity is pure liquid state value, however solid viscosity is considered as a function of the shear rate, solid fraction and power law curves.

펌프 베어링하우징에서 베어링과 오일의 과열 및 오일수명 예측 (Prediction of Oil Lifetime due to Overheating of Oil and Bearing Housing in a Pump)

  • An experimental study has been carried out to investigate overheating of oil and bearing housing during pump operation. This problem is of particular interest in the pre diction of lifetime and failure of pump. Transient variation of oil temperature as well as bearing housing temperature is measured to study the effect of oil viscosity, oil amount, and discharge flow rate of pump. It is found that optimal oil quantity as well as proper viscosity of oil is required to keep the safe temperature level of oil and bearing housing in a pump. The oil temperature at steady state is almost not affected by discharge flow rate in the range of discharge flow rates considered in the present study.

  • A method is proposed which can be used to obtain the fibesr content distribution of compression molded long fiber-reinforced thermoplastic sheet for nonisothermal state. The fiber is modelled to be a sphere. Once the one-dimensional unsteady state heat conduction equation in solved, the mean temperature in defined across the thickness direction. The viscosity of matrix is determined with the mean temperature. Using the obtained viscosity, two-dimensional sheet0like part compression molding is simulated with the finite element method. Comparison with experiments shows that the method accurately predicts the distribution.
