The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of T-shirt as a movie costume on the modem mass fashion. The way of study is to analyze the changes of men's image with T-shirt as Hollywood actors costume in 50's and 60's. The costumes create the characters with meanings and symbols moreover they lead fashion as well as promoting artistic value of films. At the end of the 19th century, this shirt learnt the ropes in the U.S. Navy well before it won the hearts of sportsmen and workers alike, with its twin virtues of comforts and hygiene. When American soldiers returned home after World War II showing their T-shirts in the sweltering heat of the Tropics, their shirts were as heroic as they were. Furthermore the new stars of Hollywood, going by such names as Marlon Brando and James Dean, gave the T-shirt its rebel cachet and showed the whole world. Be it tom open on Marlon Brando's torso in Elia Kazan's 'A Streetcar Named Desire', or peeping out dazzlingly white from under James Dean's red jacket in 'Rebel Without a Cause', the T-shirt flaunted its sexuality and emanated the sweet smell or revolt. It would be the banner of rebellion for a whole generation. The T-shirt had finally found its way into the history of fashion and was there to stay.d was there to stay.

To date, the implementation and adoption of new manufacturing technologies has been retarded despite their technical advances and strategic virtues such as flexibility and synergy effect. This phenomenon is partly attributable to the lack of commensurate development and widespread dissemination of adequate selection and justification procedures. Many strategically vital automation projects have been rejected and/or seemingly promising proposals have turned out to be fiascos since the justification process has been solely based on the traditional capital budgeting or engineering economy methods. As the degree of system automation/integration increases, a variety of benefit/cost attributes, both quantitative and qualitative, should be taken into account and more comprehensive and analytic justification methods should be applied in the justification process. This paper points out the distinct characteristics of advanced technologies and presents an illustrative set of procedures that can be used in the justification process. It outlines the algorithmic structure of each procedure and also describes the advantages/disadvantages of each procedure and the conditions under which it is most appropriate to employ. The selection of appropriate justification technique is situation-specific. In general, it is recommended that more complex and sophisticated procedures be used as the degree of integration increases. Nonetheless, traditional procedures may be used as well to make in-depth analyses of the local impact.

This paper serves to analyze discourses on concubine at the beginning of the modernization era or during the enlightenment period of Korea. For this analysis, the estimated time frame of the enlightenment period will be from 1860 through the time when Korea was annexed into Japan, which was in 1910. The discourses appeared in newspapers and Shinsoseol which are the text of this study have been analyzed with the qualitative research technique. The major conclusions that are derived from the study are as follows: First, intellectuals during enlightenment period of Korea, criticizing concubinage, tired to establish the monogamous relationship and they argued that it should be the prior condition for Korea to enter into the civilized society. Second, the concubinage was criticized in the point of the newly established view. The criticism was on double sex ethics, applying different ethical standards to men and women and the prohibition of wifes jealousy of concubine. Third, intellectuals during enlightenment period of Korea were tried to do away with concubinage by enforcing the discrimination between wife and concubine. But the efforts resulted in making concubinage personal problems. Also consciousness based confucian ethics including female virtues was forced to be followed in ordinary affairs while concubinage was criticized in the point of the view of western ethics based consciousness. The huge differences between two ethics consciousness resulted in serious conflicts in family.

Virtues and advantages of urban areas would be tarnished if benefits and convenience of the cities were overwhelmed by the logics of selfish development and reckless expansion. Reckless development, which is not limited to a certain point of time and space, has become a social and environmental problem for a long period of time, taking advantage of legal and administrative loopholes. In the metropolitan area surrounding the capital, especially Yongin, where semi-agricultural zones have been developed recklessly, serious problems have already emerged including the lack of infrastructure, environmental contamination, destruction of scenic landscapes, encroachment of good farmland and forest and invitation of natural disasters. This study assumed all these problems as the consequence of the inadequacy of the legislative system and analyzed the causes. The study also suggests some countermeasures. Most of all, a "planning-first, development-later" practice should be brought into place so that various experts could participate for a detailed planning. Public development should also be expanded so that beneficial public facilities could be set up in the first place. A system for reasonable development charges should also be come up with. In this process, the role of the administrators becomes yet more important for a long-term, systematic planning of future cities, accompanied by public housing developments.

This study investigated parental perceptions and practice of filial piety and in child rearing practices regarding filial piety. The subjects of this study were 681 parents. 1) The results showed that most parents perceive, practice and teach their children the 12 virtues of filial piety. 2) There were significant differences in fathers' view (perception, practices, education) of ancestor- worship as found according to child developmental stage. The significant of difference in mother's perceptions of emotional-care, ancestor-worship and persuasion and moral training was found according to child developmental stage. The significant differences in mother's practices in moral-training, economic-support, persuation, and ancestor-worship were found according to child developmental stage. The singificant differences in mother's child-rearing in gratefulness, moral-training, emotional-care, persuasion, obedience to parents, and ancestor-worship were found according to child developmental stage. 3) Traditional child-rearing behavior has declined.

Objectives & Methods : This study aims to investigate the application of the principle of the mutual communication between organ and bowel(臟腑相通) on Tong's acupuncture. We classified the frequently used Tong's acupuncture points according to the principle of the mutual communication between organ and bowel. Results & Conclusions : Considering the locations and indications of the most frequently used points among the 740 master Tong's acupuncture points, we could reach the following conclusions; 1. The chief virtues of 66 master Tong's acupuncture points could be explained by the principle of mutual communication between organ and bowel. 2. Among the relationships of mutual communication between organ and bowel, the most frequently applied relationship was relationship which applied to 16 master Tong's acupuncture points, and the , , , , and followed. 3. Considering the body regions, 13 out of 66 master Tong's acupuncture points which the relationship of mutual communication between organ and bowel was applied to, were located at the 1-1 region, and the same number at the U region, the others were at the 7-7, 3-3, 2-2, 4-4, 10-10, 6-6, 5-5 regions in the order of the number of the points, and none at the 9-9 region.

Due to a development of information and communications technology, now we can watch TV show whenever and wherever we want through DMB service. And this is different from existing TV service which we can just enjoy at certain place. Now, I will look into IPTV technology which is basis of Mobile IPTV service. And then, I will introduce Mobile IPTV service which combines the virtues of 'Mobility' of DMB technology and 'two-way communication' of IPTV technology and lets us enjoy two-way TV service at anytime and anywhere. And also I will check the problems of IPTV, on-going trend of Mobile IPTV(in service), and the perspective of Mobile IPTV. Finally, we suggest new fast duplicate address detection scheme in Mobile IPTV to support seamless IPTV packet transmission.

This paper presents a new approach to the problem based on neural network methods. Instead of using general controllers, neural networks PID control are used to control AC servo motor. The most popular and widely used control method in servo system control loops is PID type. PID controller has the features of simple structure, stability and reliability. But it has limitations in complex system control and can not remain above virtues under the conditions of parameters uncertain and environment uncertainties. AC servo motor controller is designed for drive of the cartesian coordinate type for machine tools.

The purpose of this study is to find out the features of the Korean family change since 2,000 and to interpret the meaning of the change on the basis of the critical review of both the positive perspective and the negative perspective of the family change in Korea. Through the method of the literature review and the analysis of the various statistics by KOSTAT, it is drawn that explaining the change only by "diversity of family compositions" is not enough to figure out the meaning of the family change in Korea today and that it is needed to go further to approach the change as disintegration of the 'nuclear' composed of the married couple and their children. It is also drawn that the disintegration has led to weakening of the long term functions by the family, i. e., the function of life and of the virtues, which shakes the way of human life and the order of our society. Therefore, the present family change in Korea is to be understood as crisis, not as progress. And it is recommended that the family politics in Korea is to be focused on the ways for the healthy functioning and rebuilding the nuclear of the family.

Slow fashion can be viewed as an activism that provides an alternative solution to the problematic issues of fast fashion in a practical sense; however, (from a theoretical point of view) it is a fashion phenomenon arising from the criticism of an accelerating society. Slowness emphasizes the virtues of moderation. Slowness refers to the recovery of human ethics that have been neglected due to the goal-oriented nature of an accelerating society. Slowness can solve the problem of conformity and discrimination in society through pluralism and respect for local indigenousness. The characteristics of slow fashion can be defined by the aesthetic values of circularity, sustainability, moderation, expressivity and convergence. This includes the beauty of circularity (which views the relationships of all processes as organic), the beauty of sustainability (which ensures the maintenance of continuous emotions and the durability of products that can be promoted through slow processes), the beauty of moderation (which places importance on spiritual values and the moderate use of materials), and the beauty of expressivity (which plays the role of a social messenger that facilitates social assertion). These combined values present the beauty of convergence such as the harmony of local communities and the world in a blend of the old and the new with an exchange between producers and consumers.
