절삭부하 예측을 통한 NC코드 후처리시스템 (NC Code Post-Processor Considering Metal Removal Rate)

  • This paper presents an NC code post-processor that adjusts feedrates to keep the variation of metal removal rate along the tool paths minimum. Metal removal rate is estimated by virtually machining the part, whose surface model is built from a series of NC codes defined in operation plan, with cutting-tool-assembly models, whose geometry are defined in a machining database. The NC code post-processor modifies the feedrates by the adjustment rules, which are based on the machining knowledge for effective machining. This paper illustrates a procedure fur grouping machining conditions and we also show how to determine an adjustment rule for a machining-condition group. An example part was machined and it shows that the variation of cutting force was dramatically reduced after applying the NC code post-processor. The NC code post-processor is expected to increase productivity while maintaining the quality of the machined part.

방사성 폐기물 작업 중의 피폭서량 예측 프로그램 개발 (Development of Exposure Level Prediction Program in Radioactive Waste Work)

  • In spite of the importance of nuclear power as one of major electric energies in Korea, the nuclear safety has become the most serious social issue in the operation of the nuclear power plant. In this paper, a virtual work simulation program was developed to predict exposure dose during radiation work in radwaste storage. The work simulation program was developed. using $Java ^{TM}$applet and VRML-virtual reality modeling language. A numerical algorithm to find the optimal work path which minimize exposure dose during the given work, was developed and exposure dose on the optimal work path was compared with that on the shortest path. Comparing with the shortest path for the given work, the predicted optimal path consumed longer work time by II% but reduced total exposure dose by 46%. The simulation result showed that the exposure dose depended on not only work time, but also the distance between the worker and the radiation source. The developed simulation program could be a useful tool for the planning of radioactive waste work to increase the radiation safety of workers.

교육용 가상실험 라인 트레이서 모델링 (Line Tracer Modeling for Educational Virtual Experiment)

  • 전통적으로 공학분야는 실험 실습 위주의 대면 교육이 주를 이루어 왔으나, IT 기술 및 인터넷 통신망의 급속한 발전과 최근 COVID-19 등의 사회적 환경 변화로 인해 온라인 학습에 대한 수요가 급증하고 있다. 다른 분야에 비해 실험 실습의 비중이 상대적으로 높은 공학 분야에서 효율적인 온라인 교육이 이루어지려면 실제 실험 실습을 대체할 수 있는 가상 실험실습 콘텐츠가 매우 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 전기전자 분야 뿐만 아니라 IT 융합이 이루어지고 있는 전반적인 공학 분야에서 필수적으로 사용되고 있는 마이크로프로세서의 효율적인 온라인 응용 학습을 위해 라인 트레이서 모델을 개발하고 이를 시뮬레이션 할 수 있는 가상실험 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 개발된 라인 트레이서 모델에서 사용자는 원하는 형태로 하드웨어 파라미터 값들을 다양하게 설정하고, 이에 따른 소프트웨어를 어셈블리 언어나 C 언어 등으로 작성하여 컴퓨터 상에서 동작을 시험해 볼 수 있도록 구성되었다. 개발된 라인 트레이서 가상 실험 소프트웨어는 실제 수업에 활용하여 동작을 검증하였으며, 앞으로 온라인 상에서 이루어지는 비대면 수업에서 효율적인 가상 실험 실습 도구가 될 것으로 기대된다.

신재생에너지 단독주택 모델 냉방운전의 선형계획법 기반 운전 최적화 연구 (Optimal Cooling Operation of a Single Family House Model Equipped with Renewable Energy Facility by Linear Programming)

  • Optimal cooling operation algorithm was developed based on a simulation case of a single family house model equipped with renewable energy facility. EnergyPlus simulation results were used as virtual test data. The model contained three energy storage elements: thermal heat capacity of the living room, chilled water storage tank, and battery. Their charging and discharging schedules were optimized so that daily electricity bill became minimal. As an optimization tool, linear programming was considered because it was possible to obtain results in real time. For its adoption, EnergyPlus-based house model had to be linearly approximated. Results of this study revealed that dynamic cooling load of the living room could be approximated by a linear RC model. Scheduling based on the linear programming was then compared to that by a nonlinear optimization algorithm which was made using GenOpt developed by a national lab in USA. They showed quite similar performances. Therefore, linear programming can be a practical solution to optimal operation scheduling if linear dynamic models are tuned to simulate their real equivalents with reasonable accuracy.

ATM 망에서의 감시 알고리즘 구현 (Implementation of Policing Algorithm in ATM network)

  • 본 논문에서는 ATM 망의 트래픽 제어 기능 중의 하나인 감시 알고리즘을 제안하고 칩(chip)을 설계하였으며, VHDL을 사용하여 구현하였다. 제안한 알고리즘은 우선순위가 높은 셀의 손실을 최소로 하고, 트래픽의 다중화 및 역다중화 과정에서 발생되는 트래픽의 군집성을 해소할 수 있다는 장점을 갖고 있다. 구현한 칩은 입력 모듈과 UPC 모듈, 출력 모듈의 3부분으로 이루어지며, 편의상, UPC 모듈에서는 메모리 제어시 메모리 어드레스 즉, 커넥션 테이블의 index를 VCI(Virtual Channel Identifier)와 동일하게 할당하였다. 또한 UPC 모듈의 VSA(Virtual Scheduling Algorithm)블럭에서 셀의 도착시간을 계수하는 카운터가 랩-어라운드(wrap-around)할 때 생기는 VSA의 오류를 보정해 줄 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다.

A Study on Current Status of National Science Museums' Online Service

  • Purpose: This study is a prior study for expanding the science museum's online services. Based on case studies, we propose an online service for science museums in the future. Research design, data, and methodology: This study analyzed online-based science museums services trends. The data was collected based on the cases of five national science museums. To understand the characteristics of science museum's online services, we analyzed the status of digital content provided by each science museum and the operation method of online special exhibitions. Result: The national science museums provided online services through virtual science museums, SNS, and YouTube. However, the services still imposed limitation on facilitating active learning for visitors. In the case of SNS and YouTube, it is only a one-time promotional tool. Conclusion: This study suggests the need for concrete measures to utilize the abundant content accumulated so far in actual education. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of content development incorporating new platforms.

전시 함정 손실률 산정 방법론: 사례연구를 중심으로 (A Case Study on Implementation of Methodology for Wartime Warships Damage Rate Estimation)

  • Wartime warship damage rate indicates how much damage of friend warships shall have occurred during naval battles accomplished under specific war operational plans. The wartime damage rate analysis provides the baseline of wartime resources requirements. If wartime damage rate is overestimated, the national finance will get to negative effects because of exceeding the budget for inventory, operation, and maintenance of resources. Otherwise, if wartime damage rate is underestimated, the national defense will lose in the war because of lack of critical resources. In this respect, it is important to estimate the wartime damage rate accurately and reasonably. This paper proposes a systematic procedure to estimate the wartime warship damage rate. The procedure consists of five steps; force analysis, operation plan analysis, input variable definition, simulation modeling, and output analysis. Since the combat simulation model is regarded as the main tool to estimate damage rate, the procedure is focused on the development of model and experiments using the model. A case study with virtual data is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed procedure.

  • Linear pulse Motors(LPM) are widely used in fields where smooth linear motion is required, and their position accuracy is higher than other motors. Hybrid linear pulse motors(HLPM) are regarded as an excellent solution to positioning problems that require high accuracy, rapid acceleration and high-speed. The LPM has low mechanical complexity, high reliability, precise open-loop operation and low inertia etc. In many application areas such as factory automation speed positioning, computer peripherals and numerically controlled machine tools, LPM can be used. This motor drive system is especially suitable for machine tools the high position accuracy and repeatability. This paper describes about that need of the embroider machine, we want to design position-scanning device for the embroidery machine. At first, to be analysed characteristics of the machine and next designed the LPM, we used the field analysis program. The finite element method(FEM) program tool is employed for calculation the force. The reluctance models will be used the magnetic permeance of air gap by static-conditions. The forces between forcer and platen have been calculated using the virtual work method. And we used the simulink to know the dynamic characteristics of LPM.

단일 홀센서 힘반영 조이스틱을 이용한 모바일 로봇 원격제어 (Tele-operation of a Mobile Robot Using Force Reflection Joystick with Single Hall Sensor)

  • Though the final goal of mobile robot navigation is to be autonomous, operators' intelligent and skillful decisions are necessary when there are many scattered obstacles. There are several limitations even in the camera-based tele-operation of a mobile robot, which is very popular for the mobile robot navigation. For examples, shadowed and curved areas cannot be viewed using a narrow view-angle camera, especially in bad weather such as on snowy or rainy days. Therefore, it is necessary to have other sensory information for reliable tele-operations. In this paper, sixteen ultrasonic sensors are attached around a mobile robot in a ring pattern to measure the distances to obstacles. A collision vector is introduced in this paper as a new tool for obstacle avoidance, which is defined as a normal vector from an obstacle to the mobile robot. Based on this collision vector, a virtual reflection force is generated to avoid the obstacles and then the reflection force is transferred to an operator who is holding a joystick to control the mobile robot. Relying on the reflection force, the operator can control the mobile robot more smoothly and safely. For this bi-directional tele-operation, a master joystick system using a hall sensor was designed to resolve the existence of nonlinear sections, which are usual for a general joystick with two motors and potentiometers. Finally, the efficiency of a force reflection joystick is verified through the comparison of two vision-based tele-operation experiments, with and without force reflection.

증강 현실에서의 장난감 블록 결합을 위한 큐브형 사용자 인터페이스 (Cubical User Interface for Toy Block Composition in Augmented Reality)

  • 본 논문에서는 증강현실 환경에서의 장난감 블록 타입의 가상 객체 결합을 위한 큐브형 사용자 인터페이스(CUI)를 제안한다. 가상 객체 결합에 의한 새로운 객체 생성은 다양한 증강현실 콘텐츠의 효과적 구성을 가능하게 한다. 하지만 대부분의 GUI 방식은 오랜 학습시간을 요구하거나 사용자의 행위와 제공되는 인터페이스 간에 직관성이 결여되어 있다. 증강현실 인터페이스들의 경우에도 주로 한 손 상호작용만을 지원하기 때문에 객체 간 결합의 특성을 크게 고려하지 않고 있다. 따라서, CUI 는 증강현실 환경에서 가상 장난감 블록 모델의 결합을 위한 조작도구인 감각형 큐브를 제시한다. 다수 마커, 자석, 그리고 버튼이 부착된 감각형 큐브는 가상 객체의 자유로운 회전, 결합, 그리고 버튼 입력을 지원한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 CUI 기반의 두 가지 양 손 결합 상호작용 기법을 제안한다. 첫째는 가상 객체의 3 차원 위치조정이 가능한 스크류 드라이빙 결합 방식이며 둘째는 시각적 안내를 지원하는 빠르고 직관적인 블록 조립 결합 방식이다. 제안하는 인터페이스는 교육, 오락, 그리고 디지로그북 콘텐츠 등을 구성하기 위한 저작 시스템에 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
