The modern stage of society's development is characterized by the rapid penetration of information technologies into all spheres of life. Their use contributes to improving the quality of tourism services, as well as the competitiveness of tourism industry enterprises. The role of information technology in tourism is growing more and more every year, which determines the relevance of the study of modern trends in the use of information technology in the tourism sector. The purpose of the study is to determine the possibilities of using information technologies to improve the quality of services provided to the tourism industry under the COVID-19 restrictions. The article systematizes the main approaches to the "cluster" category and provides an original definition of the "regional tourist cluster" concept. Based on an expert survey, the main trends in the introduction of information technologies in the tourism industry under the COVID-19 restrictions have been identified, which include virtual reality and augmented reality, speech recognition technologies, photo, video, audio (contactless control technologies), mobile IT applications and Big Data technologies. It has been concluded that the vast majority of improvements in the organization of tourism services under restrictions will be based on the organization of virtual solutions and online activities. The types of tourism services will also change, and information technology will help their development and dissemination.

Digital transformation plays a critical role in making hospitality and tourism organizations create new business processes and customer experiences. The hospitality and tourism industry thrives on creating unique experiences by offering exceptional and innovative customer services through innovative digital technologies. Thus, this study provides an overview of the current use of these technologies in the hospitality industry and their potential advantages and opportunities. In particular, the metaverse and immersive virtual reality (VR) technology are gaining popularity in the hospitality industry, offering new opportunities for innovation and driving core values. This study discusses the current use of VR and metaverse and potential advantages and opportunities for researchers and practitioners in the hospitality and tourism context. Thus, we provide suggestions and implications for hospitality and tourism industry stakeholders to increase core values and business performance and create sustainable competitive advantages over other market players through VR and metaverse.
The outbreak of the Covid 19 increased the interest on the 'Virtual Tourism. In this research the key word related to "Virtual Tourism" was collected through the search engine and was analyzed through the data mining method such as Log-odds ratio, Frequency, and network analysis. It is clear that the information and communication dependency increased in the field of "Virtual Tourism" after Covid 19 and also the trend have changed from "securement of the contents diversity" to "project related to economic recovery." Since the demands for the "Virtual Reality" such as metaverse is increasing, there should be an economic and circular structure in which the government establishing a related policy and the funding plan based on the research, local government and the private companies planning and producing discriminate contents focusing on AISAS(Attension, Interest, Search, Action, Share) aand the research institutions and universities developing, applying, assessing and commercializing the technology.
This study is based on place attachment theory, explores how to transform tourists' virtual experience into on-site tourism willingness through virtual attachment, And explores the moderating role of happiness in it. A real travel intention model is constructed for people who work in tourism or have the ability to travel alone. Analyzed through analysis tools such as SPSS and AMOS, We hope to explore if the virtual experience can be transformed into a willingness to travel on the ground, and how happiness moderates virtual attachment to virtual tourism experiences. The result shows, the relationship between Virtual Travel Experience and Virtual Attachment is moderated by Happiness, Virtual Attachment is positively related to Place Attachment (Place dependence & Place identity), Place Attachment is positively related to Real Travel Intention. The relationship between tourists and tourist destinations is explored in depth through this study to provide references and suggestions for tourism development.

Smart tourism is a social phenomenon arising from the convergence of information technology with the tourism experience. New ways of doing business, new patterns of experience and new problems concerning tourism destination image management and marketing are emerging due to the ubiquitous presence and influence of the internet and mobile devices. New conceptual tools are also available to enable researchers to further understand the social implications as well as the practical implementation of these new virtual and augmented smart tourism ecosystems. To this effect this paper introduces the constructivist paradigm and associated research methodologies as another toolbox for interpreting how smart tourism works as a form of soft power. The implications revealed by constructivism are that through smart tourism ecosystems, destination commodification and commoditization, experience and image formation are increasingly self-perpetuating, autonomous and organic social constructions. Researchers in information technology can use constructivist research to further explore these dynamic developments in smart tourism.
The integration of Tourism and Information Communication Technology (ICT) has been continued based on a drastic progress of ICT in the entire sectors of tourism industry. A variety of terminologies such as eTourism, Virtual Tourism, Smart Tourism have appeared during the last decades, however, tourism with Smartphones created a new paradigm has not discussed yet in tourism industry and academia. By investigating on the previous literature in the role of ICT in tourism, we have classified five major streams in the past such as end user perspective (tourist behaviour), Community, Multimedia and Web, Intelligent System, and Smart Tourism. At a result, we investigated the concept of smart tourism and extended to research on Smart Tourism Ecosystems. We suggest the concept of smart tourism ecosystems, which may create values by interacting among tourism players (tourist, distribution channel, supply channel, government, and local community). We propose the discussion of meaning of 'creating shared value' through 'Smart Tourism Ecosystems'.
Purpose: This study aims to measure how information quality, system quality, security, usefulness, and ease of use of Augmented Reality (VR) and Virtual Reality (AR) influence user satisfaction, motivating intelligent travel technology developers to improve VR/AR quality to meet customer requirements. Research design, data and methodology: This study investigates users interested in travelling in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang City, Vietnam. The research model was implemented using an online questionnaire and face-to-face from 405 valid samples. To evaluate the scale's reliability, the study used the software SPSS 20. Test research hypotheses and evaluate measurement and structural models. This research uses AMOS 20 software. The proposed model is firmly grounded in the Information System Success model (ISS) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), providing a solid theoretical foundation for our research. Results: Results show that consumer perceptions of information quality, system quality, security, usefulness, and ease of use have a positive impact on the perceived quality of VR/AR, thereby influencing tourists' travel intention. Conclusions: The results of this research enrich the theoretical understanding of consumer behaviour toward intelligent technology products in tourism, providing management implications for manufacturers to improve the quality of tourism products and satisfy user requirements in experience before considering choosing a destination.

This study is to explain the importance and the necessity of virtual cyber-tour in a virtual reality environment, and to present a way of its realization as a mean to surmount the fundamental constraints in current tourism, arising mainly from the individual health, cost, leisure time, and the low perception on tourism culture. This virtual cyber-tour using virtual reality technology will not only provide various indirect tour experiences to the existing tour resources, but also develop a new type of tour system, leading to new worlds which have not been accessible to the Public because of various restrictions coming from the current technology, transportation means, and physical limit's of human body.

In recent years, realistic contents technology such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality has been spreading in travel and tourism industries, and hence there have been various smart tourism AR, VR contents developed. In the past, people mainly used books and Internet for travel, but the use of VR, AR and MR technologies will be used more for consumption of cultural leisure contents in the future. This study describes the Mixed Reality based Baekje Neungsa Cultural Heritage On-Site Guide System to accelerate smart tourism. In this study, the immersive mixed reality HMD was used to provide visitors with more intuitive and effective information about the historical, cultural and architectural values of Baekje Neungsa through virtual experiences. The cultural heritage on-site guide system module supports various Meta Data services and can be easily used for mixed reality content development by designating Meta Data scripts. This research can make contributions to the development of mixed reality based smart tourism contents.
