VM(Virtual Machine) can be considered as a software processor which interprets the machine code. Also, it is considered as a conceptional computer that consists of logical system configuration. But, the execution speed of VM system is much slower than that of a real processor system. So, it is very important to optimize the code for virtual machine to enhance the execution time. Especially the optimizer for a virtual machine code on embedded devices requires the highly efficient performance to the ordinary optimizer in the respect to the optimized ratio about cost. Fundamentally, functions and basic blocks which influence the execution time of virtual machine is found, and then an optimization for them nay get the high efficiency. In this paper, we designed and implemented the optimizer for the virtual(or abstract) machine code(VMC) using profiling. Firstly, we defined the profiling information which is necessary to the optimization of VMC. The information can be obtained from dynamically executing the machine code. And we implemented VMC optimizer using the profiling information. In our implementation, the VMC is SIL(Standard Intermediate Language) that is an intermediate code of EVM(Embedded Virtual Machine). Also, we tried a benchmark test for the VMC optimizer and obtained reasonable results.

Computer-aided engineering (CAE) analysis is considered essential for product development because it decreases the simulation time, reduces the prototyping costs, and enhances the reusability of product parts. The reuse of quality-assured CAE data has been continually increasing due to the extension of product lifecycle management; PLM, which is widely used, shortens the product development cycle and improves the product quality. However, less attention has been paid to systematic research on the interoperability of CAE data because of the diversity of CAE data and because the structure of CAE data is more complex than that of CAD data. In this paper, we suggest a CAE data exchange method for the effective sharing of geometric and analysis data. The method relies on heterogeneous CAE systems, a virtual reality system, and our developed CAE middleware for CAE data exchange. We also designed a generic CAE kernel, which is a critical part of the CAE middleware. The kernel offers a way of storing analysis data from various CAE systems, and, with the aid of a script command, enabling the data to be translated for a different system. The reuse of CAE data is enhanced by the fact that the CAE middle-ware can be linked with a virtual reality system or a product data management system.
Recently, the distributed processing system for big data has been actively investigated owing to the development of high speed network and storage technologies. In addition, virtual system that can provide efficient use of system resources through the consolidation of servers has been increasingly recognized. But, when we configure distributed processing system for big data in virtual machine environments, many problems occur. In this paper, we did an experiment on the optimization of I/O bandwidth according to the creation and placement of VMs and tasks with composing Hadoop cluster in virtual environments and evaluated the results of an experiment. These results conducted by this paper will be used in the study on the development of Hadoop Scheduler supporting I/O bandwidth balancing in virtual environments.

Construction of the Virtual Observatory (VO) is a great concern to the astronomical community in the 21st century. We present an outline of the concept and necessity of the va and the current status of various VO projects including the 15 national ones and the International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA). We summarize the possible science cases that could be solved by using the VO data/tools, real science cases which are the results of using current VO tools, and our own work of using AstroGrid, the United Kingdom national VO, for a research on star formation history of galaxies.
In this paper, we have proposed a realization method of tactile sense of virtual objects using multi-layer Neural Networks(NN). Inputs of the NN are position data of non-rigid objects and outputs of the NN are forces at that time and point. First, the position and forte data are measured from non-rigid objects (a sponge and a balloon) using two PHANToMS, one as a master and the other as a slave manipulator, then the data are used to train a multi-layer Neural Networks whose inputs and outputs are designed to represent tactile information. The trained Neural Networks is used to regenerate the tactile sense on the virtual objects graphically made by a computer, and one can feel a quite similar sense of touch by using the system while touching the virtual objects.

In this paper, we propose spatial information based simulator for user experience optimization and minimize real space complexity. We focus on developing simulator how to design virtual space model and to implement virtual character using real space data. Especially, we use expanded events-driven inference model for SVM based on machine learning. Our simulator is capable of feature selection by k-fold cross validation method for optimization of data learning. This strategy efficiently throughput of executing inference of user behavior feature by virtual space model. Thus, we aim to develop the user experience optimization system for people to facilitate mapping as the first step toward to daily life data inference. Methodologically, we focus on user behavior and space modeling for implement virtual space.
This study began with an assumption that virtual museum exhibitions will continue to be created in the future and more knowledge is required about designing effective virtual exhibit designs. This study explored the relationship between virtual exhibitions and visitor's opinions following the viewing of the virtual exhibit in order to determine the components of a well-constructed virtual exhibit design. To address the research problem, this study explored two aspects of virtual exhibit design: 1) what are the components of a well-constructed virtual exhibit, 2) how does viewing the virtual exhibit change visitors' opinions about both physical and virtual museum experiences. The methodology of the study employed surveys, interviews and observations as instruments of data collection. Twenty-five participants were given a survey prior to their viewing of the on-line exhibit, then they were given the opportunity to view the web-site and finally surveyed regarding their opinions. From the 25 participants, six were selected for observation to record behavior exhibited while they viewed the site. In addition, five were interviewed for a better understanding of their responses to various aspects of the virtual exhibit experiences. Data from the surveys was tabulated for descriptive percentages in order to identify numerical patterns of relationship. Observation data was analyzed for simple frequencies in categories of responses and interview data was tape recorded and transcribed into text files. Based on study results, recommendations were made for the future role of interior design in virtual space that stands independent from a physical building and resides only on the Internet.
The purpose of this study is to find out audience' response of virtual influencer at the starting line of virtual influencer marketing. Therefore, posts, comments, number of likes, and video reviews were collected from Instagram of virtual influencers active in Korea. Python 3.7 and Textom were used for data collection and analysis. Sentimental analysis showed that the rate of positivity was higher than the rate of negativity and neutrality. The appearance of virtual influencer was found to be a major factor in both positive and negative. Consumers' interest in virtual influencer could be inferred from the neutral sensibility. This study is meaningful in that it presented data to help establish strategies for virtual influencer marketing by examining consumer reactions to virtual influencer and identifying factors of positive and negative emotions toward virtual influencer.

A method for processing huge airborne laser scanned data using parallel computing and virtual grid is proposed and the method is tested by generating raster DSM(Digital Surface Model) with IDW(Inverse Distance Weighting). Parallelism is involved for fast interpolation of huge point data and virtual grid is adopted for enhancing searching efficiency of irregularly distributed point data. Processing time was checked for the method using cluster constituted of one master node and six slave nodes, resulting in efficiency near to 1 and load scalability property. Also large data which cannot be processed with a sole system was processed with cluster system.

This study utilized virtual reality to construct a simulated public restroom environment to identify potential hazards. The objective was to discern actual risks in real-world public restrooms through this virtual setup. During the virtual restroom experience, data from the built-in 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope sensors of testor's smart phones were collected. Analysis of this data helped in identifying spatio temporal factors impacting the users. The determination of these factors as risk elements was based on an evaluation algorithm grounded in data analysis.
