This paper introduces a novel approach for automated mapping of a map feature that is vinyl green house in high spatial resolution imagery Some map features have their unique spatial patterns. These patterns are normally detected in high spatial resolution remotely sensed data by human recognition system. When spatial patterns can be applied to map feature identification, it will improve image classification accuracy and will be contributed a lot to feature identification. In this study, an automated feature identification approach using spatial aucorrelation is developed, specifically for the vinyl green house that has distinctive spatial pattern in its array. The algorithm aimed to develop the method without any human intervention such as digitizing. The method can investigate the characteristics of repeated spatial pattern of vinyl green house. The repeated spatial pattern comes from the orderly array of vinyl green house. For this, object-based approaches are essential because the pattern is recognized when the shapes that are consists of the groups of pixels are involved. The experimental result shows very effective vinyl house extraction. The targeted three vinyl green houses were exactly identified in the IKONOS image for a part of Jeju area.

The aim of this study was to investigate fatigue scores, physical complaints, farmer's syndrome and to find out its risk factors among farmers. The questionnaire survey was conducted to 177 vinyl house workers and 213 farmers who lived in Chongyang gun of Chungnam province from February 24 to March 15, 1998. The obtained main results were followings; 1. The fatigue scores were not significantly different between vinyl house workers and farmers. The fatigue scores were higher in female group, lower education group, shorter sleep hours group(under 8 hours), nonsmoker, nondrinker group than otherwise groups. There was not statistically significant difference between the mean fatigue scores and age, eating habit and body mass index. Duration of farming years in vinyl house and farming area and number of farming workers in farmers family showed a slight relationship with the fatigue score. 2. Health scores were not different between vinyl house workers and farmers. The health states was poorer in female group, lower education group, shorter sleep hours group(under 8 hours), nonsmoker group, and nondrinker group than otherwise groups by health scores. Health scores were not related with age, eating habit and body mass index. 3. The proportion of farmer's syndrome was 49.1% in vinyl house workers and 52.1% in farmers. That was higher in female than in male and the higher proportion was found in the lower education group of vinyl house workers and farmers. The proportion of farmer's syndrome was higher in the group of smoker, alcohol drinkers and over or under weight in vinyl house workers, but did not differ in those of farmers. 4. By multiple logistic regression, sex and sleep hours were risk factors affecting to farmer's syndrome. Odds ration for female group was 2.53 (reference group was male) and that for over 8 sleep hours group was 0.74 (reference group was under 8 sleep hours group). 5. The chief complaints by CMI were "I am difficult to work due to aching the back and the limbs", "I feel prickle pain in the limbs", "I sometimes have a twinge in the limbs", "I am not quite well as having a pain in the limbs", "I feel weaker grasping power than before" in both of vinyl house workers and farmers. Vinyl house workers more frequently pointed out skin darkening, skin disease and hemorrhoids than farmers. 6. According to correspondence analysis, skin disease of vinyl house workers was related to vinyl house farmers and digestive and general symptom was associated with male and endocrinological and muscular symptom was associated with female in vinyl house workers. And it revealed that farmer's syndrome was highly related with female and farmers relatively. By the above results, the fatigue scores, perceive health and farmer's syndrome did not much differ in two groups, but aged female farmers should be considered as female farmers represented higher fatigue score, farmers syndrome and poorer perceive health than male farmers in addition to farmer's syndrome was increased with ageing process. Also feeble but distinguished symptoms which might be due to working environment were observed especially in vinyl house workers and that should be considered and investigated continuously.

This paper describes remote monitoring system for the various environments of a vinyl house, which was located in rural or outer of urban by use internet web connection system in a long distance office. We have constructed remote monitoring system by use a simple experimental model for the monitoring of various factors which need to operate common vinyl house. The experimental model includes temperature, humidity, smoke and infrared sensors for the measuring and AC 220V light bulb for the controlling in the USN system. Also, we have developed monitoring software by use NI Labview and communicate between PC and sensors through the DAQ-board, USN control board. We use CCD camera and grab board for the real time remote monitoring of wanted image in the house area. The computer server for remote connection is constructed in the local PC with Apache web server, PHP and MySQL ODBC. We construct internet communication system for the monitoring remotely the local environments of a vinyl house system.

In order to produce the high quality of dried-ear mushroom, various drying methods such as hot-air drying at $40{\sim}80^{\circ}C$, freeze drying and drying in vinyl house were carried out. Drying hours of hot-air drying, freeze drying and drying in vinyl house were 12.5~21.5, 36.0 and 72.0 hrs, respectively. Vitamin $D_2$ content of sample was the highest as $6.77{\mu}g/g$ DW in drying in vinyl house and then followed by freeze drying as $5.90{\mu}g/g$ DW and hot-air drying as $1.89{\sim}5.01{\mu}g/g$ DW. After dry, external appearance and color of mushrooms applied hot-air drying and drying in vinyl house were better than freeze-dried one. After rehydration, water uptake of sample in drying in vinyl house and hot-air drying at $50{\sim}60^{\circ}C$ were 17.8 and 19.3~21.0 times, respectively. The methods of drying in vinyl house and hot-air drying at $50{\sim}60^{\circ}C$ also led to high hardness, good shape and resilience. As the results of production of dried-ear mushroom with high quality, we suggest that the best method for drying is the drying in vinyl house due to not only high vitamin $D_2$ content, good external appearance and color after drying but also high hardness and good shape after rehydration.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate influencing factors of health problems which the vinyl house farmers had experienced. Method: Based on PRECEDE model, this study was done with 110 respondents(50 to 69 years old), working in vinyl house and living in the remote area where the primary health post located. Results: Quality of life was low in economical status, emotional status, and physical function. Health problems were founded as pain and chronic fatigue that were caused by physical symptoms, weakened physical strength, and increased blood pressure and cholesterol. Behavioral and environmental factors were related with lack of exercise, irregular eating habit, curtailed sleep, overwork, wrong working postures, stress, and non-fulfillment of safety standard during spraying pesticide. Self efficacy was low in excercise practice, working way, and stress management. Conclusion: The Health Promotion Program for vinyl house farmers should be developed to improve health promoting behavior and self efficacy, to reduce stress, and to strengthen physical function.
The study was conducted to investigate the effect of the culture with trickle with trickle irrigation in transparent vinyl house on the seed productivity of onion. Growth, number o tiller and leavers, plant height, leaf sheath length, flowering rate, diameter of flower wheel, number of little flower per flower stalk and fertilization rate are best in the case of the seed production under the culture with trickle irrigation in transparent vinyl mulching house, catch in the rain with vinyl from February to March, so it is found that it is appropriate to plant the onion mother bulb under the culture with trickle irrigation in transparent vinyl mulching house, catch in the rain with vinyl from February to March in the Southern areas of Korea.

In order to find out the frequencies of symptoms and the relations between the symptoms and working hours, the numbers of spraying pesticides authors investigated 145 farmers(96 male, 49 female persons) from 6 Myon's of 3 Gun's in Kyeongnam Province. The results were as follows; 1. The most frequent farming years were 1-5 years, fruits were the most common, and working hours were over 9 hours in 41.4%. The commonly used pesticides were insecticides, herbicides, herbicides in order. Only 52.4% of the farmers used masks, and 69.0% bathed after spraying pesticides. 2. The most common symptoms being complained were sweating, lumbago, shoulder pain, dizziness, headache, fatigue, decreased vision, weight loss, dyspnea and nausea in order. 3. Dizziness was more common in younger ages and decreased vision was more common in elder ages. Dyspnea and shoulder pain were more common in female farmers. 4. The more longer the working hours, the more complained indigestion, lumbago, shoulder pain and nausea. The more faster came into vinyl-house after spraying pesticides, the more common fatigue and dizziness. 5. The farmers who sprayed more pesticides complained headache, dyspnea, weight loss. 6. Vinyl house workers who worked more than 7 hours complained headache, nausea, decreased vision, lumbago more frequently than who worked less than 6 hours. 7. The farmers who entered in 1-2 hours after spraying pesticides complained fatigue more frequently than those entered after 3 hours. 8. Vinyl house workers without using masks complained dizziness and dyspnea more commonly than those using masks. But headache was more common among those using masks contrary to expectation.
This study was conducted in an attempt to grasp the health problems and environmental situation of the farmers and their vinyl houses. The study was done between Aug. 10, 1995 and Sep. 10, 1995, for one month period. with two hundred and nine vinyl house cultivation farmers chosen at random as subjects in five areas in and around Kim Chun City. The following are the results of the study carried out through direct interviews and surveys with the subjects : 1. The career of farming on vinyl house facilities by sex(male vs female) averages 17.29 and 15.08 years is shorter than that of general farmer's average of 31.24 and 25.58 years(P<0.05). Hours of labor between the two are silimar : monthly labor hours for vinyl house farmers are average 28 and 27.52 days. longer than the general farmers' average of 26.57 and 25.95 hours respectively. 2. The comp aints of physical symptoms among the vinyl house farmers range from lumbago, shoulder pain dullness in the limbs and dizziness, which show no remarkable differences from those of general farmers. 3. The frequency of application of chemicals on vinyl house forming for a period of one year averages 23.79, three times as often as the general farmer's average or 8.36(P<0.05). In the addiction rate of chemicals, too, the vinyl house farmer stowed a higher percentage of $9.09\%$ over the general farmer's $1.24\%$(P<0.01). 4. In temperature, humidity and disconfort indices of in and outside of the vinyl house, room temperature is on an average $34.6{\pm}5.05^{\circ}C,\;11.7^{\circ}C$ higher than that of outside, while in humidity inside was lower than outside by $10.6\%$ point, $65.9\%$ over $76.5\%$. The discomfort index was higher inside by $83{\pm}4.61\;vs\;70.64{\pm}5.61$. 5. The status of physical treatment over the past one year shows : for vinyl house farmers-physiotheraphy$(43.06\%)$, pharmacy$(24.04\%)$, clinic(18.66%), herbal medicine(574%) : for general farmers-pharmacy$(34.16\%)$, Physiotherapy$(27.33\%)$, Clinic$(18.63\%)$, Folk Medicine$(11.18\%)$ (P<0.01).
