상악동 후벽의 실험적 골결손부에 관한 방사선학적 연구 (A RADIOGRAPHIC STUDY OF EXPERIMENTALLY PRODUCED BONE DEFECTS IN THE POSTERIOR WALL OF THE MAXILLARY SINUS)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ability of radiographs in detecting experimental bony defect in the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus. For this study, experimentally five skulls were used, the bony defects with a diameter of 5mm were created at different locations in the posterior wall of the right maxillary sinus and the bony defects of 10mm were created at different locations in the posterior wall of th maxillary sinus. Panoramic view, panoramic sinus view, water's view, and computed tomogram were taken and the results analyzed. The obtanined results were as follows: 1. The panoramic view was superior to the panoramic sinus view in detecting the bony defects in the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus. 2. Panoramic view, panoramic sinus view, and waters's view were limitation to the detection of the bony defects in the posterior wall of the maillary sinus. 3. All the bony defects in the posterior wall of the maxillary sinus were excellently visualized on the computed tomogram.

  • Technology-oriented national R&D programs produce intellectual property as their final result. Patents, as typical industrial intellectual property, are therefore considered an important factor when evaluating the outcome of R&D programs. Among the main components of patent evaluation, in particular, the patent right quality is a key component constituting patent value, together with marketability and usability. Current approaches for patent right quality evaluation rely mostly on intrinsic knowledge of patent attorneys, and the recent rapid increase of national R&D patents is making expert-based evaluation costly and time-consuming. Therefore, this study defines a hierarchy of patent right quality and then proposes how to quantify the evaluation process of patent right quality by combining text mining and regression analysis. This study will contribute to understanding of the systemic view of the patent right quality evaluation, as well as be an efficient aid for evaluating patents in R&D program assessment processes.

양측기관지 확장증의 정중흉골절개술에 의한 양측폐절제 -1례보고- (Bilateral Pulmonary Resection for Bronchiectasis by Median Sternotomy)

  • Bronchiectasis is bilateral in approximately 30% of patients. Although the presence of bilateral bronchiectasis was frequently considered a contraindication to surgical resection due to excessive loss of functional pulmonary parenchyma, it is a correct view that the involved broncho-pulmonary segments are functionless and risks to the as yet uninvolved segments and should be removed if the patient`s pulmonary function is tolerable. We report a case of multisegmental bilateral bronchiectasis treated by bilateral simultaneous pulmonary resection through a median sternotomy. Five bronchiectatic segments were resected, which were right middle lobe, anterobasal segment of the right lower lobe, and lingula of the left upper lobe.

ATSC-M/H 기반의 융합형 3DTV를 위한 양안시차 고속 추정 알고리즘 (Fast Algorithm for Disparity Estimation in ATSC-M/H based Hybrid 3DTV)

  • 3D 방송시스템에 대한 다양한 연구 가운데 ATSC-M/H 기반의 융합형 3DTV 방식은 HD 화질의 좌영상과 모바일 화질의 우영상을 결합하는 서비스 호환 3DTV 시스템으로서 이 방식에서는 좌우 영상 사이에 상대적인 화질 차이가 존재하며 이를 해결하기 위해 조건부 대체 알고리즘(Conditional Replenishment Algorithm)이 제안되었다. 조건부 대체 알고리즘에서는 좌우영상 사이의 양안시차 벡터를 추정하고 양안시차 보상된 HD 좌영상과 단순 확장된 모바일 우영상을 선택적으로 사용함으로써 우영상의 화질을 개선한다. 그러나 이 알고리즘은 여러 계층의 양안시차를 추정하는 과정에서 매우 많은 계산이 필요하기 때문에 이를 실제적으로 구현하기 위해서는 고속 알고리즘의 개발이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 양안시차 벡터의 특성을 고려하여 전역 탐색 대신에 SDSP(Small Diamond Search Pattern) 탐색 방법을 사용하고 탐색의 초기위치를 예측하는 방법을 제안하며 특정 조건 하에서 양안시차 벡터 추정을 생략하는 조기종료 모드를 함께 적용함으로써 복원 영상의 화질을 유지하면서도 조건부 대체 알고리즘의 속도를 향상시키는 기법을 제안하고 모의실험을 통해 이의 성능을 검증하였다.

후천세계가 지향하는 인간상 탐구- 정역의 지인(至人) 중심으로 - (Consideration on Human in World of Post-Heaven: Focusing on perfect man of Right I Ching)

  • The theory of post-heaven provided Korea's many emerging national religions with spiritual ground. The I Ching originated in China emphasizes the principles of change or static aspects of world, while Right I Ching, which Il-Bu Kim suggested, underlines dynamic aspects of world. Il-Bu Kim is perceived to open a new stage in the history of philosophy of I Ching in this regard. His most remarkable contribution is the view of Great Opening Era of Post-Heaven, according to which the clock of cosmos shows the era of great change from Pre-Heaven to Post-Heaven and in the world of Post-Heaven everything will take its proper place. As to human society, Il-Bu Kim foresaw the change from disharmony to harmony, imbalance to balance and era of xiaoren to that of junzi. The advent of such a new world, however, asks human's moral revolution as a prerequisite. In the tradition of East Asian thought, human is the center of the Samjae, Heaven-Earth-Human and the only being which could participate in the growth of Heaven and Earth. Without the change of human mind, however, human can neither participate in the growth of Heaven and Earth nor expect the right change of Heaven and Earth. Even though the world of nature changes according to the principle of cosmic harmony, as the Right I Ching predicts, the real change of Heaven and Earth can be achieved only with moral change of human. The human in the Right I Ching is a free man who sticks to nothing and communicates with cosmos with empty mind. This is the very image of perfect man(至人). The perfect man in the Right I Ching is the main agent of everything, that's to say, the main agent of the great opening to Post-Heaven Era. This is the reason why most leaders of Koran emerging religions concentrate on the change of human. In this regard, Jeung-San Kang encouraged people to become the perfect man through the purification of mind and body and the great opening of inner man, depending on the metaphysical principle of the Right I Ching. Cheok and Resolution of grievances for the mutual beneficence of all life are what he suggested as a method of the great opening of inner man. Such a view is based on the thought that the accumulated sinful behaviors are obstacles to cosmic change and the time of mutual beneficience opens with the removal of the obstacles. If such religious practices are so effective, as Jeung-San Kang says, that future world could consist of perfect men who have achived the great opening of inner man, moral change, and change of consciousness, we could expect that the activities of xiaoren will be shrinked and junzi will be welcomed, as the Right I Ching predicts.

가상현실을 이용한 경량전철 주행시뮬레이터 개발 (Development of the Driving Simulator for Automated Guideway Transit using Virtual Reality Technology)

  • In this paper, we introduced a simulator to visualize the driving scenery of newly developed train called the K-AGT(Korea Automated Guideway Transit). The simulator consists of mainly two parts; control system and display system. In the control system, user can control the driving speed of the K-AGT, the driving environment(day and night), the operation of the train door and the screen door and user's views(driver's view, left window view, right window view, passenger's view). In the display system, immersive driving scenery generated by stereoscopic head mount display system and 3 channel PDP display system are displayed. We are expect to utilize the system to share the idea among customer, designer and constructor and verify the operating condition of the K-AGT intuitively.

신장 방사선 섭취량 결정을 위한 Conjugate View 방법에 대한 평가 (Evaluation of a Conjugate View Method for Determination of Kidney Uptake)

  • 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 신장의 정확한 방사능 섭취량을 얻기 위해서 기하학적 평균 감쇠보정을 이용한 conjugate view 방법(CVM)을 평가하고 Gate 방법과 비교하는 것이다. 대상 및 방법 : 본 연구는 신장의 방사능 섭취량을 시뮬레이션하기 위해서 몬테칼로 코드, SIMIND와 Zubal 팬텀을 사용하였다. 또한 이중 감마카메라를 이용하여 직경 5cm인 팬텀들을 직경 20cm인 실제 팬텀에 삽입하여 실험을 하였다. CVM 방법을 평가하기 위해서 산란과 감쇠가 없는 이상적 데이터와 비교되었다. 또한, CVM 방법을 Gate 방법과 비교하였고, 산란보정의 적용 또는 비적용으로 나누어 CVM 방법을 실행하였다. Gate 방법은 임상에서 사용하는 것처럼 산란보정을 적용하지 않았으며, $0.12cm^{-1}$$0.15cm^{-1}$ 감쇠계수들을 적용하였다. 관심영역 내에 있는 평균계수, 신장영상 위에서 얻어진 프로파일, 선형회귀분석을 이용하여 데이터를 분석하였고, 이상적 데이터와의 상관계수를 계산하였다. 결과: 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 경우, 이상적 데이터, CVM 방법, Gate 방법으로부터 얻어진 평균계수들은 각각 (오른쪽: $998{\pm}209$, 왼쪽: $896{\pm}249$), (오른쪽: $911{\pm}207$, 왼쪽: $815{\pm}265$), (오른쪽: $1065{\pm}267$, 왼쪽 $1546{\pm}267$)이었다. CVM 방법은 이상적 데이터와 좋은 상관관계를 보여주었고, 이상적 데이터와 대한 CVM 방법, Gate방법의 상관계수는 각각 (오른쪽: 0.91, 왼쪽: 0.93)와 (오른쪽: 0.85, 왼쪽 0.90)이었다. 결론: 기하학적 평균 감쇠보정을 이용한 CVM 방법은 Gate 방법보다 정량적으로 더 정확한 값을 제공하였다. 결론적으로, 신장 깊이에 영향을 받지 않는 CVM 방법으로 더욱 정확하게 신장의 방사능 섭취량을 측정할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

폭스테리어 종에서의 울혈성 우심부전을 동반한 판막형 폐동맥판 협착증 (Valvular Pulmonic Stenosis with Congestive Heart Failure in a Fox Terrier)

  • A 4-year-old female Fox Terrier dog (weighting 8 kg) with history of severe abdominal distention and anorexia was presented to Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Gyeongsang National University. In physical examination, grade 4/6 systolic murmur heard at the left heart base. Electrocardiography showed right ventricular enlargement (right axis deviation and deep S wave) and right atrial enlargement (P pulmonale). Diagnostic imaging studies revealed hypertrophy of right ventricle, enlargement of right atrium and tricuspid regurgitation and turbulence in the pulmonary artery in right parastenal short axis view. Based on the diagnostic findings, the dog was diagnosed as a case of valvular pulmonic stenosis.

종격동에 발생한 유미성 낭종 1예 (A Chylous Cyst in the Mediastinum: Report of A Case)

  • This is a report of a chylous cyst in the mediastinum found in a 61 year old Korean female patient who suffered from mild swallowing difficulty and right chest discomfort. These symptoms had developed 5 years previously when chest P-A view showed thumb-tip sized mass shadow in right mediastinum, just right to ascending aorta. Esophagogram revealed an indentation of midesophagus. Follow up checks showed growing mass shadow which suggested aneurysm of ascending aorta. On admission chest X-ray revealed a well circumscribed infant head sized mass density along the right heart border and middle mediastinal border, and extended near to the middle clavicular line in right chest cavity. Aortogram revealed no relationship between the mass and aorta. Right thoracotomy was performed under impression of mediastinal tumor. There was a large cyst containing 700 cc of milky fluid. There was no connection to the thoracic duct nor adjacent organs. The fluid was analyzed chemically and identified the fluid as chyle. The origin of the isolated chylous cyst was uncertain postoperative course was uneventful.

접번축에 대한 하악의 위치관계 및 변위에 관한 방사선학적 연구 (A RADIOGRAPHIC STUDY ON THE POSITIONAL RELATIONSHIP OF THE MANDIBLE TO THE HINGE AXIS)

  • This study was made to analyze the positional relationship of mandible to hinge axis in normal subject as the diagnostic criteria of T.M.J. dysfunction. The author has conducted the study using the Cephalometric P-A view, and dental of 53 males and 51 females. By measurement, the standard value of cranio-facial and occlusal asymmetry in normal subject obtained. The following results were obtained: 1. Although the degree of the difference between right and left width in each measured line was small, asymmetry in normal subject could be identified. 2. In male, measurement between genial tubercle and hinge axis is 127.20±6.06㎜ in left, 125.83±6.25㎜ in right, and angle between genial tubercle and hinge axis is 48.48±3.53° in left, 49.58±3.72° in right. In female, measurement is 119.32±5.81㎜ in left, 118.82±5.35㎜ in right and angle is 48.06±2.15° in left, 48.17±2.31° in left, 48.17±2.31° in right. 3. In male, difference between left and right canine cusp tip of maxilla about X-bar is 0.70±0.59㎜, and that of central pit of first molar of maxilla is 0.98±0.75㎜. In female, difference is 0.64±0.52㎜ in canine and 0.92±0.76㎜ in molar.
