  • We generally used electric optical sensors in order to detect and identify sea objects efficiently. However due to the limitation of view-angle, the region acquired from the sense is restricted. So it is necessary to generate panoramic image from sea images acquired from pan-tilt camera. Previous mosaicing method is not able to generate panoramic image for sea environment because intensity is similar to all region and time varying. In this paper, we proposed new algorithm for generating high-resolution panoramic image on sea environment. Proposed algorithm use single-view point model, applying mosaicing result in feature environment to in sea environment, we overcame the limitation of previous method. In the result of virtual and real experiment, we showed that proposed algorithm is efficient for generating sea panoramic image.

  • Vision-based tracking has been proposed as a means to efficiently track a large number of construction resources operating in a congested site. In order to obtain 3D coordinates of an object, it is necessary to employ stereo-vision theories. Detecting and tracking of multiple objects require an entity matching process that finds corresponding pairs of detected entities across the two camera views. This paper proposes an efficient way of entity matching for tracking of construction workers. The proposed method basically uses epipolar geometry which represents the relationship between the two fixed cameras. Each pixel coordinate in a camera view is projected onto the other camera view as an epipolar line. The proposed method finds the matching pair of a worker entity by comparing the proximity of the all detected entities in the other view to the epipolar line. Experimental results demonstrate its suitability for automated entity matching for 3D vision-based tracking of construction workers.

The three-round Delphi tests were performed with 36 professional in the academic, the industrial, and the art world. The result of the study is as follows: Factor analysis showed the troubles were classified into 4 categories; 'dyeing', 'basis', 'industry' and 'consumer and environment'. Supplementary measures and future direction research 3categories; 'development', 'education' and 'mass production' And commercialization. popularization 2 categories; 'commercialization' and 'popularization'. 'Dyeing' is correlated with 'mass production', 'basis' with 'education' and 'education' with 'commercialization' and 'popularization'. The engaged period in natural dyeing world is longer, professionals were more concerned about 'consumer and environment' The most influential element of the present question in the view is 'education'.

  • Generally, a motion vector and a disparity vector represent the motion information of an object in a single-view of camera and the displacement of the same scene between two cameras that located spatially different from each other, respectively. Conventional H.264/AVC does not use the disparity vector in the motion vector prediction because H.264/AVC has been developed for the single-view video. But, multi-view video coding that uses the inter-view prediction structure based on H.264/AVC can make use of the disparity vector instead of the motion vector when the current frame refers to the frame of different view. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an improved motion/disparity vector prediction method that consists of global disparity vector replacement and extended neighboring block prediction. From the experimental results of the proposed method compared with the conventional motion vector prediction of H.264/AVC, we achieved average 1.07% and 1.32% of BD (Bjontegaard delta)-bitrate saving for ${\pm}32$ and ${\pm}64$ of global vector search range, respectively, when the search range of the motion vector prediction is set to ${\pm}16$.

  • Determination of sediment type is generally based on ground truthing. This method, however, provides information only for the limited sites. Recent developments of remote classification of seafloor sediments made it possible to obtain continuous profiles of sediment types. QTC View system, which is an acoustic instrument providing digital real-time seabed classification, was used to classify seafloor sediment types in the Suyoung Bay, Pusan. QTC View was connected to 50 kHz echo sounder, All parameters of QTC View and echo sounder are uniformly kept during survey. By ground truthing, the sediments are classified into seven types, such as slightly gravelly sand, slightly gravelly sandy mud, gravelly muddy sand, clayey sand, sandy mud, slightly gravelly muddy sand, and rocky bottom. By the first remote classification using QTC View, four sediment types are clearly identified, such as slightly gravelly sand, gravelly mud, slightly gravelly muddy sand, and rocky bottom. These are similar to the result of the second survey. Also the result of remote classification matches well with that of ground truthing, but for sediment type determined by minor component. Therefore, QTC View can effectively be used for remote classification of seafloor sediments.

  • The purpose of the research was to examine the effect of field of view on egocentric distance perception in the real and virtual environment. The replica that mimicked the real environment condition was used to create the virtual environment condition. We manipulated field of view levels equally in both viewing conditions using glasses that limit the field of view in real-world conditions and limiting the field of view in virtual-world conditions in a manner equivalent to real-world conditions via HMD. Eighteen participants observed the target with a limited field of view in a real and virtual environment without head movement. Then, we measured perceived distance using the timed imagined walking method, which measures the time taken by each participant to mentally walk to the target. The target was shown three times at three different distances from the participants: 3, 4, and 5 m. For the analysis, we converted time estimates into distance estimates. Consequently, the estimated distance in the virtual environment condition was less than the estimated distance in the real environment condition. And as the field of view shrank, the estimated distance also decreased. The estimated distance did not vary with field of view levels in real-world conditions. In the virtual environment, the estimated distance decreased as the field of view decreased, whereas in the real environment, the estimated distance increased. The implications of the results and some future research directions are discussed below.

  • In this paper, we present a multi-depth generation method using a time-of-flight (ToF) fusion camera system. Multi-view color cameras in the parallel type and ToF depth sensors are used for 3D scene capturing. Although each ToF depth sensor can measure the depth information of the scene in real-time, it has several problems to overcome. Therefore, after we capture low-resolution depth images by ToF depth sensors, we perform a post-processing to solve the problems. Then, the depth information of the depth sensor is warped to color image positions and used as initial disparity values. In addition, the warped depth data is used to generate a depth-discontinuity map for efficient stereo matching. By applying the stereo matching using belief propagation with the depth-discontinuity map and the initial disparity information, we have obtained more accurate and stable multi-view disparity maps in reduced time.

  • In order to acquire a precise and quick response to an analytical query, proper selection of the views to materialize in the data warehouse is crucial. In traditional view selection algorithms, all relations are considered for selection as materialized views. However, materializing all relations rather than a part results in much worse performance in terms of time and space costs. Therefore, we present an improved algorithm for selection of views to materialize using the clustering method to overcome the problem resulting from conventional view selection algorithms. In the presented algorithm, ASVMRT (Algorithm for Selection of Views to Materialize using Reduced Table), we first generate reduced tables in the data warehouse using clustering based on attribute-values density, and then we consider the combination of reduced tables as materialized views instead of a combination of the original base relations. For the justification of the proposed algorithm, we reveal the experimental results in which both time and space costs are approximately 1.8 times better than conventional algorithms.
