Information network technologies introduce a new education environment. Cyber education is growing rapidly as a field of practice especially in distance education system. The development of multimedia environment based on such technology as graphics, image, voice, and video, personal computer systems use has become the media for interactive teaching-teaming service. These features have made integrated multimedia education feasible. This research suggested a direction for the development of an interactive distance education system. I have developed an education system which cooperate problem bank and learning system. This system support arbitration of the relative difficulty in the problem bank database. An ongoing version of this research was evaluated. Those findings reveal several factors that influence how the proposed system can be tailored to the students' perspectives in order to come up with the enhanced version of this system.

In this paepr, we present a video-on-demand (VOD) system design model that address and integrates a number of inter-related issues. Then with analysis and performance evaluation, we investigate various aspects of disk and buffer managements in the given model. Based on the analysis results, we suggest that a distributed buffering scheme with intermediate buffers may te useful to transform bursty disk accesses into a continuous stream for for glitch-free performance of VOD systems. Also, through simulation, we illustrate that massive multimedia information storage design techniques such as prefetching, clustered striping, and real-time disk scheduling integrated with the distributed buffering mechanism may enhance end-to-end real-time performance of VOD systems under wide-area networks.

무인항공기는 광대역의 전장 정보를 실시간으로 획득하거나 적 위협정보를 파악하기 위해 영상정보를 활용하며 보다 정확한 감시 및 정찰 정보의 획득과 가시화를 위해 정밀한 영상정보처리 기법이 요구된다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 무인항공기를 통해 획득한 영상 정보를 지상통제장비로 전송하고 이를 효과적으로 시각화하는 통합 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 영상정보처리 시각화 시스템을 통해 무인항공기와 지상통제장비는 전장에서 요구되는 임무와 역할을 효과적으로 수행할 것으로 기대한다.

Introduction of digital communication network such as Integrated Services Digital Networks(ISDN) and digital storage media have rapidly developed. Due to a large amount of image data, compression is the key techniques in still image and video using digital signal processing for transmitting and storing. Digital image compression provides solutions for various image applications that represent digital image requiring a large amount of data. in this paper, the proposed DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) filter bank is consisted of simple architecture, but it is efficiently designed that a user obtains a wanted compression rate as only input parameter. If it is implemented by FPGA chip, the designed encoder operates in 12MHz.

Internet telephony provides voice communication services with added flexibility for multimedia extension at a lower cost compared to traditional telephone systems. We implemented an internet telephony system as an overlay network without a centralized server, using a distributed hash table (DHT). Compared to the current server-based internet telephony system, our system is fault-tolerant, scalable, and can be flexible extended to various services and advanced to integrated service. To demonstrate the high flexibility of our DHT-based internet telephony system, we made our system cooperate with web servers. Web users can check up others' online stales and establish voice communication sessions to online users at a mouse click. This technology can be applied to more complex services such as multimedia messaging or video conference service.

본 논문에서는 휴대용 영상장비인 비디오 레코더에 사용되는 직렬구조 리튬이온 배터리의 보호회로를 제안하였다. 제안된 보호회의에서는 정적 전류소모가 큰 전지 상태 검출기를 공유하였고 배터리의 상태에 따른 저 전력모드 변환을 가능하게 하여 보호회로의 효율성을 극대화하였다. 제안된 회의는 0.35um 표준 CMOS 공정을 사용하여 검증하였다.

본 논문은 고해상도의 영상을 처리하는 이동기기 등에 사용되는 SoC(System On a Chip)에 구현이 용이한 효과적인 화질 향상 (잡음감소와 윤곽강조) 을 위한 방법과 구조에 대한 것이다. 최근 이동기기의 발전과 진화에 따라 여러 형태의 이동기기가 개발되고 있는데 그 중 최근 인기를 끌고 있는 포터블 미디어 플레이어 (PMP)나 HD(Hight Definition)급 camcorder 등이 고해상도의 영상을 처리하는 이동기기로 분류될 수 있다. 이러한 이동기기에서 고해상도 영상에 대한 화질 향상을 기존의 복잡한 방법을 사용해 처리한다면 메모리 대역폭이나 하드웨어 크기 등의 증가로 이동기기에서 구현하는데 어려움이 따른다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 이동기기에서의 고해상도의 화질 향상을 입력영상의 종류에 따라 선택적으로 메모리 대역폭 사용 없이 하드웨어 크기를 최소화하여 FPGA (field programmable gate array)나 ASIC (application specific integrated circuit)으로 구현이 용이하도록 하는 방법과 구조에 대해 설명하고 실제 영상을 가지고 실험한 결과로 주관적 화질 향상 효과를 가져 온 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

An adaptive Chunk algorithm is newly devised and a collaborative streaming is designed for high quality multimedia streaming service under time varying traffic conditions. An LMS based prediction filter is used to compensate the effect of time varying background traffic of the WAN. The underflow is generated for the $20\~28\%$ of the data stored in the central server by applying the FARIMA(Fractional Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) traffic modeling method. The proposed algorithm is tested with the MPEG-2 video files and compensates $71\~85\%$ of central stream underflow.

본 논문에서는 레이저 다이오드, 포토 다이오드, 그레이팅 렌즈, 빔 스프릿터가 반도체 공정으로 직접화된 홀로그램 레이저 다이오드와 4 와이어 부동형 엑츄에이터를 이용하여, 시장성이 풍부한 일반 오디오용 광학 픽업을 설계하였다. 또한, 이러한 홀로그램 레이저 다이오드의 특성을 이용하여 초간편 광학계를 구현하므로서, 기존외 제품 대비 조립성과 생산성을 향상시키고, 취부 부품의 수를 줄이고 형상을 단순화하였다.

By integrating WDM to OPS unit which plays an improtant role for the reliability of CPN, we made it possible to provide CATV, VOD, and high-speed data services simultaneously and to meet easily the requirements for new services in the future. For the design of optimal system, the link analysis of power budget has been perfomred. Also, the prototyped system has been tested with STM-1 level signals to confirm functions such as transmission, distribution, and protection. The results proved that when occurred out-of-order or recovery of ONU, the system did the pertinent switching with minimum loss for high-speed data services. Also for video distribution services, the system has distributed STM-1 level signals sucessfully.
