Dimethyldioxirane의 분자구조와 Vibrational Frequencies에 대한 양자역학적 고찰 (Quantum Mechanical Investigation for the Structure and Vibrational Frequencies of Dimethyldioxirane)

  • Dimethyldioxirane$[(CH_3)_2CO_2]$의 분자구조, vibrational frequencies 그리고 infrared(IR) 스펙트럼의 세기(intensity)등에 대한 이론적 연구를 high level ab initio 양자역학적 방법(CISD,CCSD, CCDS(T))을 사용하여 수행하였다. 분자구조의 경우 C-O와 O-O에 대한 결합길이는 parent dixoirane$(CH_2O_2)$과 유사한 결과를 보여주었으며, electron correlation effect의 영향이 C-C나 C-H결합길이 보다 더 크게 작용하였다. 사용된 basis sets(DZ,DZP, TZP, 그리고 TZ2P)에 대해서는 polarization function의 역할이 매우 중요한 것으로 나타났으며 triple zeta(TZ)에 의한 효과는 상대적으로 나타났다. 한편 계산된 harmonic vibrational frequency들을 실험결과 및 다른 이론 계산결과와 비교, 분석하였으며 IR intencity에 근거하여 각 vibrational mode를 assign하였다.

선형동흡진기의 매개변수가 감쇠진동계의 진동특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of parameters of a linear dynamic vibration absorber on the vibrational characteristics of damped vibrational systems)

  • This paper presents the vibrational characteristics of linear damped vibrational systems with a linear dynamic absorber. The amplitude ratios of main vibrational system are derived from the equation of motion for the system, and optimal natural frequency ratio and damping ratio of dynamic absorber are obtained by computer simu- lation, which minimize the amplitude ratio of main vibrational system for the whole range of the frequency ratio. And, the effects of the parameters on the amplitude ratios are investigated. As the results, the effect of the natural frequency ratio on the amplitude ratio of main vibrational system is more important than that of the damping ratio of dynamic absorber as damping ratio of main vibrational system becomes larger. For the case of large damping ration of main vibrational system becomes larger. For the case of large damping ratio of main vibration system, the amplitude ratios are not decreased dramationally in spite of inoreasing mass ratio.

Car-Parrinello Molecular Dynamics Study for the Isotope Effect on OH Vibration in Ice Ih

  • The stretching vibration of OH of ice Ih is studied by Car-Parrinello molecular dynamics in regarding the effect of mixed H/D contamination while the vibrational spectrum is considered by velocity-velocity autocorrelations of the sampled ensemble. When hydrogen atoms are immersed randomly into the deuterated ice, a typical vibrational frequency of OH stretching mode is observed to be similar to that from the pure $H_2O$ ice. When focusing on the correlation of isolated neighboring OH stretching, a narrower and blue shifted peak is observed at the high frequency range as a result of the screening from the complex many body correlations by $D_2O$ environment. It is also specifically related to the symmetric intermolecular correlations between neighboring OH stretching modes. More enhanced high frequency range can be explained by the expansion of such two body correlations to collective many body correlations among all possible OH stretching modes. This contribution becomes important when it involves in chemical interactions via excitation of such vibrational states.

  • This paper deals with the method of vibration measurement of a gun barrel structure using mechanical filter. When a bullet with high speed is moving within a gun barrel type structure with low bending vibration frequencies, it is difficult to measure the bending vibration signals of the structure. For example, noncontact type sensors such as displacement or velocity sensor are not appropriate for the measurement of vibrational signals because of the movement effect of the equipment frame through the moving structures or effect of the ground vibration. One of contact type sensors such as accelerometer is profitable for measurement of vibrational signals because of its wide measurement ranges. In the case of a gun barrel structure including high vibrational signals like shock waves, however, it is necessary to propose vibration measurement method filtering high frequencies. The purpose of the paper is to propose the proper vibrational measurement technique filtering high frequencies of a gun barrel type structure.

알켄-오존 반응의 중간 생성물에 대한 ab initio 양자역학적 고찰 (Quantum Mechanical Investigation on the Intermediates of Alkene-Ozone Reaction)

  • 알켄-오존 반응에서 생성된 중간 생성물로써 primary ozonide (POZ),secondary ozonide (SOZ)그리고 carbonyl oxide의 분자구조, vibrational frequencies그리고 infrared(IR)스펙트럼의 세기 등에 대한 이론적 연구를 high level ab initio 양자역학적 방법(CISD,CCSD)을 사용하여 수행하였다. 일반적으로, polarization function은 결합각과 결합길이를 감소시키는 경향을 보였고 반면, electron correlation effect는 결합길이와 결합각을 약간 증가시키는 경향을 보이고 있다. Carbonyl oxide의 분자구조는 zwitterionic form이 diradical form보다 더 안정한 것으로 예측되었으며, 두 형태의 에너지는 차이는 TZ2P CISD level에서 약 22.4 kcal/mol인 것으로 계산되었다. 또한, POZ과 SOZ의 분자구조 및 harmonic vibrational frequencies들을 실험결과와 비교 분석하였으며 IR세기에 근거하여 각 vibrational mode를 assign 하였다.

  • In this study, we investigated the influence of vibrational stimulation on postural control. To study the effect, the sway of the center of pressure was observed fur two different visual conditions and for three different patterns of vibrational stimulation on plantar area. The two visual conditions were normal condition with visual feedback and blind condition with both eyes closed. The three vibrational stimulations were white noise, constant vibration, and vibration with amplitude modulations (sine curve modulation). The experimental results showed that the sway of the center of pressure distinctively reduced with white noise vibrational stimulation. This result showed that it's possible to use vibrational stimulation for improving the ability of postural control.

도시철도차량 세브론 고무 특성 변화가 진동승차감 레벨에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Changes in Chevron Rubber Characteristics on the Vibrational Ride Comfort Level of a Subway Vehicle)

  • The suspension system of a subway vehicle is composed of $1^{st}$ and $2^{nd}$ springs. The suspension system is the most important parameter in determining the vibration ride comfort. If the $1^{st}$ suspension spring is designed as a spring with strong stiffness to improve the running stability at high speed, it causes vehicle vibrations. In this paper, by testing and analyzing changes of the characteristics of Chevron springs, which have been the primary suspension springs used for about 20 years, we study how changing the characteristics affects vehicle acceleration and ride comfort. The lateral and longitudinal vibrational ride comfort index levels were lower than the vertical ones. Therefore, as increasing the stiffness of Chevron springs has the greatest effect on the vertical vibrational ride comfort index level, a countermeasure for vertical vibration reduction is needed when the stiffness increases owing to aging. Finally, maintenance guidelines, including the replacement time for the Chevron rubber, were proposed based on these findings.

  • Mathematical formulas for multi-dimensional isolation analysis via vibrational power transmission can be derived in a rather simple form when the wave effects of the isolators are completely neglected. With increase of frequency range of interest, however, the wave effects play a very important role and hence cannot be neglected. The formulas get involved accordingly. In this study, a method of equivalent stiffness modeling of the isolators to include the wave effects is proposed in such a way that not only the complexity of the mathematical expressions but also that of experiments of necessity can be reduced. This method is illustratively applied to a two-dimensional vibration isolation system with nonrigid source and base structures.

  • A zero-dimensional direct simulation Monte Carlo(DSMC) model is developed for simulating diatomic gas including vibrational kinetics. The method is applied to the simulation of two systems: vibrational relaxation of a simple harmonic oscillator and translational-rotational-vibrational energy exchange process under heating and cooling. In the present DSMC method, the variable hard sphere molecular model and no time counter technique are used to simulate the molecular collision kinetics. For simulation of diatomic gas flows, the Borgnakke-Larsen phenomenological model is adopted to redistribute the translational and internal energies.
