Impact를 이용한 정밀 고속 회전체 불평형 보정 (Correction of mass imbalance of a high precision rotor)

  • The unbalanced mass of a high precision rotor deteriorates mechanical performance of the rotor. The geometrical center of a rotor generally corresponds to the rotational axis of the rotor. However, this alignment carried out with a stationary rotor does not guarantee the dynamic rotor balance. There have been a number of schemes for the correction of the imbalance published for decades especially in the hard drive industry where the issues are directly affecting manufacturing costs and product performances. Realizing the significance of the problem, the present work tries to refine one of the methods that works by applying external impact during a rotor spins. A systematic way to apply the external impact to a rotating rotor has been introduced to minimize imbalance correction process time.

  • To improve the driving sensitivity of an optical pickup actuator for high density and high speed drive, we present a new actuator design using multipolar flux-density distribution by magnetic materials and Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets. We expect this actuator to use in 3-axis actuator fur tilt compensation as well as conventional 2-axis actuator. The electromagnetic field analysis applying 3-D FEM was performed and several samples were actually tested. From comparing simulated data with experimental results, we verified theaccuracy of the simulation and the superiority of the presented method.

  • The Frequency Response Function(FRF)s of FE Model reduced by SEREP methods accurately estimate the full model at resonance frequencies, However these FRFs are not accurate at antiresonance frequencies, Additionally, the truncation errors may he significant in the reduction mode1. So this paper considers the possibility of SERFP method through a numerical method to preserve dynamic behavior at antiresonance and appliers the static or dynamic compensation methods for truncation errors to the reduction model. This compensated reduction model is redesigned for pole-zero cancellation methods the objective of reducing a resonance frequency.

  • For high density optical storage, there should be a high NA objective lens and a shorter wavelength laser diode. To secure the disc tilt margin related to the coma aberration, moreover, it's difficult to apply the tilt compensation mechanism into the portable PC. In this paper, we proposed the 3-axis asymmetry pickup actuator with high efficiency symmetric magnetic circuit, which consisted of the top cover type inner yoke for high magnetic flux density, the coil stack unit for the 3-axis independent operation and vertically polarized magnets.   • As is widely known, SPL measurement using sound level meter (SLM) is limited to higher than 30 dBA, because of the self-noise n(x) of condenser microphone (CM). The authors confirmed n(x) is composed of 3 kinds, each of which is stable enough under the condition -20 ~ +50 deg C to eliminate the influence of n(x) by subtracting its energy from the squared input signal in the integration process, as well as to develop new type of SLM with ultra-low SPL measuring function. This is so-called "0-dB SLM" since it enables to measure SPL down to around 0 dB-SPL. The RMS of n(x) is acquired and stored in ROM in advance, by placing CM in the supersilent space or by using dummy microphone with equivalent capacitance before the actual measurements.

  • Mass estimation analysis of loose-parts in pressure vessel is necessary for the structural integrity assessment of pressure boundary in nuclear power plants. Mass of loose-parts can be generally estimated from the peak values and the center frequency of impact signals. Magnitude of impact signals is, however, inevitably attenuated according to the traveling distance of the signals and depending on the frequencies. Attenuation rate must be therefore carefully compensated for the precise estimation of loose-part mass. This paper proposes a new compensation method for the attenuation rate based on Bessel function instead of Hankel function in conventional method which has a limitation of usage in near the impact location. It was verified that the suggested compensating equation based on the Bessel function can be applied to the attenuation rate calculation without any limitation.

  • An image compensating algorithm with high-vibration movement is proposed, using optical flow and the Kalman Filter. The temporal motion vector field is calculated by Optical flow and suspicious vectors are removed or adjusted by the Gaussian interpolation method. The high-vibrated vector filled is stabilized by the Kalman filter. Lastly, compensated images are obtained by affine transformation. This proposed algorithm gives good compensated video images on high-vibration situations.

  • A note-book PC has become thinner in recent years. And optical disc drives are required to have high memory capacity. Therefore, the actuator of optical disc drives must be thinner and have disc tilt compensation function for high density memory. In this paper, the hybrid type actuator is investigated for 3-axis ultra-slim actuator. A 3-axis ultra-slim actuator is designed by using the modal analysis of the actuator and the electromagnetic analysis of magnetic circuit to achieve dynamic characteristics and magnetic flux density for high sensitivity, respectively. Also, magnetic force between tilt magnet and tilt yoke is investigated to find the influence on the DC sensitivity in the focus and track directions.

  • There are many researches going on to develop the information storage devices using Blue-ray disc and DVD as a demand for high-density information storage devices is highly increasing. This high-density information storage device requires a short-wave laser and objective lens of high numerical aperture set in fer its operation. And, that brings out rapid decrease of tilt tolerance. Therefore, it is necessary that an actuator should control tilt motions to get a stable signal. In this paper, a new mathematical form of 3-D.O.F coupled model is formulated and magnetic circuit in constraints is most effectively designed with the use of the moving coil type actuator in higher sensitivity. Further, this paper presents a tilt coil whose rotational center point is put on that of the lens through the variation of tilt coil and proposes a 3-axis actuator with high sensitivity improved in its dynamic property through its structure analysis.
