KTX 주행특성 해석 (Dynamic analysis of KTX running characteristics)

  • The acceptance test of KTX has been performed in Korea. During the test lateral vibration of carbody over the accepted value called sway was found. Many activities have been taken to find the cause of the vibration and the counter-measure. KTX has 20 car trainset formation whose trailer cars are linked by articulate bogies. So this study is performed to see the effects of long trainset formation on vehicle dynamics and the train stability by 16 car vehicle model. Firstly the reliable vehicle model which shows well the tendencies appeared in the tests on the high speed test line is required to find the cause of lateral vibration and the countermeasure. Vehicle model was made for the analysis with VAMPIRE. The analysis results show that secondary air spring lateral stiffness is the most significant parameter to cause carbody lateral vibration. Mode analysis results show that the least damped mode shape is similar to the vibration pattern shown in the tests that the amplitude of the motion increases along the train set and decreases in the tail part. The lateral vibration was appeared at the speed range between 100km/h and 200km/h and disappeared at the low speed and the high speed.

Characteristic analysis on train-induced vibration responses of rigid-frame RC viaducts

  • A three-dimensional (3D) numerical analysis for the train-bridge interaction (TBI) system is actively developed in this study in order to investigate the vibration characteristics of rigid-frame reinforced concrete (RC) viaducts in both vertical and lateral directions respectively induced by running high-speed trains. An analytical model of the TBI system is established, in which the high-speed train is described by multi-DOFs vibration system and the rigid-frame RC viaduct is modeled with 3D beam elements. The simulated track irregularities are taken as system excitations. The numerical analytical algorithm is established based on the coupled vibration equations of the TBI system and verified through the detailed comparative study between the computation and testing. The vibration responses of the viaducts such as accelerations, displacements, reaction forces of pier bottoms as well as their amplitudes with train speeds are calculated in detail for both vertical and lateral directions, respectively. The frequency characteristics are further clarified through Fourier spectral analysis and 1/3 octave band spectral analysis. This study is intended to provide not only a simulation approach and evaluation tool for the train-induced vibrations upon the rigid-frame RC viaducts, but also instructive information on the vibration mitigation of the high-speed railway.

유체력을 고려한 3차원 수중압력선체의 진동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of 3-Dimension Submerged Vehicle in Consideration of Fluid-Structure Interaction)

  • Unlike structures in the air, the vibration analysis of a submerged or floating structure such as offshore structures or ships is possible only when the fluid-structure interaction is understood, as the whole or part of the structure is in contact with water. This paper introduces two methods to find natural frequency in consideration of fluid-structure interaction, direct coupled vibration analysis and fluid-structure modal coupled vibration analysis. The purpose of this study is to analyze the vibration characteristic of a submerged vehicle to obtain the anti-vibration design data, which could be used in the preliminary design stage. The underwater pressure hull of submerged vehicle is used as the model of this study. The F.E.M. model is meshed by shell and beam elements. Also, considering the inner hull weight, the mass element is distributed in the direction of hull length. Numerical calculations are accomplished by using the commercial B.E.M. code. The characteristics of natural frequency, mode shape and frequency-displacement response are analyzed.

Vibration Analysis of Bladed Disk using Non-contact Blade Vibration System

  • The blade vibration problem of bladed disk is the most critical subject to consider since it directly affects the stable performance of the engine as well as life of the engine. Especially, due to complicated vibration pattern of the bladed disk, more effort was required for vibration analysis and test. The research of measuring the vibration of the bladed disk, using NSMS(Non-intrusive stress measurement) instead of Aeromechanics testing method requiring slip ring or telemetry system with strain gauge, was successful. These testing can report the actual stresses seen on the blades; detect synchronous resonances that are the source of high cycle fatigue(HCF) in blades; measure individual blade mis-tuning and coupled resonances in bladed disks. In order to minimize the error being created due to heat expansion, the tip timing sensor is installed parallel to the blade trailing edge, yielding optimal result. Also, when working on finite element analysis, the whole bladed disk has gone through three-dimensional analysis, evaluating the family mode. The result of the analysis matched well with the test result.

미 군사규격을 적용한 레이더 전력공급용 이동식 컨테이너의 Random Vibration 해석 (Random Vibration Analysis of Portable Power Supply Container for Radar With U.S. Military Standards)

  • In times of war or emergencies, weapon systems, such as radars, must receive stable power. This can be achieved using improved onboard portable power systems made of steel containers. However, a breakdown can occur in the event of random vibration during transportation via a vehicle or train. Electrical-power shortages or restrictions pose a significant threat to security. In this study, Composite Wheeled Vehicle(CWV) data and rail cargo data with Acceleration Spectral Density(ASD), specified in MIL-STD-810H METHOD 514.8, were interpreted as input data of the three-axis random vibration method using ANSYS 19.2. Modal analysis was performed up to 500 Hz, and deformations in modes 1 to 117 were calculated to utilize all ASD data. The maximum equivalent stress in the three-axis direction was obtained using a random vibration analysis. Similarly, the margin of safety was calculated using the derived equivalent stress and material properties. Overall, the analysis verified that the portable container designed for the power supply system satisfied the required vibration demands.

  • The electronic speckle pattern interferometer (ESPI) has been applied to many technical problems such as deformation and displacement measurement, strain visualization and surface roughness monitoring. In this study, we used an ESPI system based on the dual beam speckle interferometer method in order to measure in-plane displacement and vibration mode using the ESIP technique. This research was carried out for the purpose of applying the vibration analysis method employing Electro-Optic holographic interference technique to the vibration analysis of uniform rectangular cantilevers plate(SS400,STS304) with cantilevers span to breadth ratio of 150 by 75. And thickness of 1mm and 0.8mm respectively. We improved the ESPI technique in order to obtain the distribution of displacement component resolved in one direction through a CCD camera combined with an image processing system. To certify and to assess the accuracy in measuring by this ESPI, the results obtained with the speckle method and vibration mode analysis are to be compared with those results by Warbuton's Theoretical expression and vibration made in FEM analysis.

차량 연료공급용 파이프 및 시험용 지그의 진동특성 해석 (Analysis of Vibration Characteristics of Fuel Pipe and Test Jig for Vehicle)

  • In this study, the natural frequency analysis of the fuel pipe and vibration test jig was performed as a basic study to determine the vibration characteristics of the vehicle's fuel pipe and the stability analysis of fatigue failure of the pipe. The natural frequencies of the fuel pipe and the fuel pipe with the test jig were calculated and the results were compared. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the natural frequency of the fuel pipe and the natural frequency of the test jig differed about 7 times, so that the vibration of the test jig did not affect the vibration of the fuel pipe. In addition, as a result of the natural frequency analysis of the fuel pipe itself and the pipe with the test jig attached, the maximum error is less than about 1%. In the future, it was suggested that the analysis of the design changed fuel pipe may be performed without a test jig.

  • A machine such as bean crusher machine is subjected to different loads and vibration. Due to this vibration there will be certain deformations which affect the performance of the machine in adverse manner. This paper proposed a vibration analysis of bean crusher machine using ANSYS. The Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis is carried out to study the effect of vibration on the structure in order to ensure the safety. This work helps the machine developer make a better product at the early design stage with lower cost and faster development time. To do this, firstly, using Inventor, a CAD model is prepared. Secondly, the analysis is to be carried out using ANSYS 15. The modal analysis and random vibration analysis of the structure was conducted. The analysis shows that the proposed design was successfully shows the minimum deformation when the vibration was applied in normal condition.

기계식 해체 공법을 적용한 슬래브 해체 시 발생하는 진동 해석 연구 (A Study on Vibration Analysis During the Slab Dismantling Using the Mechanical Dismantling Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 기계식 해체공법을 적용한 슬래브 해체 시 발생하는 진동을 분석하기 위해 진동 자료를 획득하였다. 획득한 진동 자료는 부착장치에 따라 구별하여 파형 및 우세주파수 분석을 수행하였고, 작업위치와 계측위치 사이의 거리를 측정하는 방법을 달리하여 상관관계를 분석하였다. 부착 장치 별 파형분석 결과 장비 작업에 의한 진동 파형의 위상 변화는 거의 없고 진동속도의 크기인 진폭의 변화만 일어났으며, 주파수 분석 결과 압쇄기를 사용한 경우 브레이커를 사용한 경우에 비해 주파수 대역이 낮으며, 해체 대상 건축물의 고유 진동수와 주파수 대역이 근접하였다. 상관관계 분석결과 작업 위치와 계측위치의 이격거리는 상호 간의 직선거리가 아닌 실제 건축물을 따라 진동이 전파하는 경로로 평가해야 높은 상관성을 보임을 확인하였다.
