  • Neo-Confucianism was the dominant ideology of the Joseon Dynasty Korea. Male and female costumes reflected a clear distinction in male and female sex roles. This study analyzes cross-dressing in sword dance performances. The research method examines relics, paintings, pictures, and documents relevant to sword dance costumes as well as for the military. The results are: First, the composition of sword dance costume was jeogori (upper garment), skirt, and shoes with military costume of jeollip (hat), jeonbok (long vest), and jeondae (belt). Second, the sword dance costume and military costume are very similar except for the basic inner wear, shoes, some details and methods of wearing. Third, the sword dance costume gradually adopted military items and features. The sword dance costume was basically female, with overall additions of a male costume, to express an androgynous image; however, the cross-dressing phenomena in the sword dance were not intended for the pursuit of sexual pleasure.

The second changes of habit which affected both sexes and their undergarments were the novel idea of personal cleanliness. Drawers appear to have been of two lengths, short, when worn under breeches, and long when worn under pantaloons and trousers. The dandy wore corsets for beauty. In the early part of the 19C, the differences between day and evening style came to be accentuated. Not only the beau, but the soldier and hunting man were addicted to stays. The high standing collars of the early 1800s became fairly low in the middle of the century. in mid of the 19C, a woolen under-vest was worn next to the skin and studs were an usual fashion. At about 1850 the bottom of the shirt was cut in a curve. For evening dress the elliptic collar was introduced.

  • A Study on the Drapery Presented in Costume The purpose of this study is to find esthetic characteristic of a drapery costume throughout Greece costume and modern fashion. For this purpose, documentary studies were proceed. And photos of the drapery costume were analyzed. Drape is the hang or fall of fabric when made into a garment is an important quality to consider indesigning. Fabric falling in folds in the garment as seen on statues of ancient Greece ; most outstanding modern versions made by designer Gres and Vionnet. Greek costume was in drapery types mostly and a feature created the vest esthetic effert on simplicity with ornament of drapery. Grecian were expressed pure beauty and natural beauty throughout their drapery costume. Madame Gres is widely considered one of the most talented greece for inspiration of the couture, ranked by many with Vionnet. They shows in their mastery of Greek draping -el-egance and simplicity- And also, they always implicity emphasized the relationship between clothing and the female body. Therefore drapery costume admired beauty of pure human body Clothing is expressed which wanted to get the nature and human, search for the losed nature of modern men. In conclusion, the characteristic of drapery costume from ancient greece to modern, timeless concerned human\`s lives and recurring humanity.

  • Passive optical networks (PONs) will be the pervasive choice in the design of next-generation access networks. One possible solution to implementing Passive optical access network is to rely on wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM). In this paper, we solve the problem of providing real-time service to both hard and soft real-time messages in conjunction with a conventional vest-effort service in WDM. we propose an adaptive scheduling algorithm to schedule and manage the message transmissions in the optical access network. Proposed algorithm is MLF-MQF. Also, we suggest dynamic bandwidth algorithm(DBA) in Loop-back WDM-PON (LPB-PON).our mechanism based on bandwidth reservation protocol.

  • A townscape has both aspects of seeing and living. However, the main streams of townscape making have been mostly focused on the former perspective so far. Such trends are apt to lack the realities of urban living. In this view, a prerequisite to complement the existing formalistic view with this realistic one is needed in order to accomplish the holistic characteristics of a townscape. Many city governments of Korea are currently trying to improve the quality of living quarters by providing diverse kinds of open spaces such as vest-pocket parks, pedestrian-friendly streets, and supporting the residents participatory village making. In this context, this paper will review the possibilities of the realistic approaches in townscape making by examining some current cases being tried in Korea cities. In conclusion some main issues to be solved in future can be listed as the conflict between general citizen′s view and the residents′ view", the conflict between social aspects and aesthetical aspects" and the conflict between the tradition and the vernacular reality in design".

  • In the paper, we propose the automatic generation method of digital elevation map based on contour map. The proposed method classifies contour data and non-contour data by thinning and labelling process of the contour line and then connects smoothly broken contour line by Bezier curve. Finally, the digital devation map is generated by the interpolation using the height data of the contour line. The proposed method can reduce vest effort, time and expense which is spend to make digital elevation map.

  • Dense meteorological data are hard to be collected on the limited urban areas because of vest cost which is required to install the corresponding sensors on the areas. Recently, to overcome this problem, the sensor network technique comes to the fore. This paper studies an application to service the meteorological map using mobile phone sensors. A design results for system implementation are introduced in this paper.

  • This thesis analyzes various becomings of female characters in Rose Gate written by Tie Ning. By this analyzation, we can pick out what identity the female characters eager to have decomposed, what identity they hope to create, and what do these procedures mean. Si Qiwen's 'becoming male' presents strong desire to shift from periphery to center. However, it is meaningless when her tragic life can not be justified by those same female people. Zuxi's 'becoming wanderer' shows that Tie Ning refuses usual reality of woman's life which vest in man. Sumei's 'becoming mother' is the exact point where torn female ego gets to consolidate, and it means Tie Ning takes 'mother-becoming' as ultimate truth of woman's life. Besides, Tie Ning finds women's becoming something new as escaping from the other and she denies equation of man with savior.

  • Because the meteorological observation towers are scattered over large area, the collected meteorological data are very sparse. Therefore, the need for data collection on the limited urban areas like a specific building or subway area brings about vest cost which is required to install the corresponding sensors on the areas. Recently, to overcome this problem, the sensor network technique comes to the fore. This paper studies an application to service the meteorological map using mobile phone sensors.
