과속방지턱의 설치효과 분석 및 수직가속도에 의한 개발 연구 (A Study on the Installation Effect Analysis and for Future Develop with Vertical Acceleration of Speed Hump)

  • Recently existing the road traffic low is requlated by hump standard, which is established throuth the actual england TRRL(Transpodt and Road Research Laboratory) experiment. The determined standard has been utilized, however, wihtout the test on of our street and its drivers driving characteristics. Even with the utilization, the appropriate before and after management, is not constituted. In Spite of minimum speed limit, in many case, the utilization itself is questionalble rather than the purpose of restraining speed limit or reducing vehicle confacts. Along with hump consideration, social attention is focused due to series of personal law suit(traffic accident) field against the negligence of local organization management. Therefore counter measure of safe transportation facility is urgently required. With consideration of above background, the purpose of this research is to develop the hump that is appropriate with our transportation environment. This can be achieved thr ugh analysis of hump effectiveness, examination of drivers awamess, facilitation/management problems, and various problems in verticle acceleration.

가속도 신호를 이용한 실시간 보행 분석 (Real time gait analysis using acceleration signal)

  • In this paper, we developed a digital gait analyzer using the triaxial accelerometer(TA). An approach for normal gait detection employing decay slope peak detection(DSPD) algorithm was presented. The TA was attached to the center of the waist of a subject. The subject walked a bare floor at 60, 92 and 120 steps/minute. We analyzed vertical axis acceleration signal for gait detection. At 60, 92, 120 steps/minute walking, detection accuracy of gait events were over 99 % accuracy.

고속 안정성을 고려한 쇽업소버 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of Shock Absorber using High Speed Stability)

  • In order to solve the conflict problem between the ride comfort and the road holding, the optimal design of shock absorber that minimizes the r.m.s. of sprung mass vertical acceleration and pitch rate with the understeer characteristics constraints in the high speed stability is proposed. The design of experiments and the nonlinear optimization algorithm are used together to obtain the optimal design of shock absorber. The second order regression models of the input variables(front and rear damping coefficients) and the output variables (ride comfort index and road holding one) are obtained by the central composite design in the design of experiments. Then the optimal design of shock absorber can be systematically adjusted with applying the nonlinear optimization algorithm to the obtained second order regression model. The frequency response analysis of sprung mass acceleration and pitch rate shows the effectiveness of the proposed optimal design of shock absorber in the sprung mass resonance range with the understeer characteristics constraints.

Measuring hull girder deformations on a 9300 TEU containership

  • A 9300 TEU container carrier was equipped in 2006 with instrumentation aimed at wave induced accelerations, and motions. In 2010 the system was extended with strain sensors to include structural loads. Section loads for vertical bending could be readily obtained but the originally intended derivation of horizontal bending and torsion from the measured strains was found to be unreliable. This paper addresses an alternative approach that was adopted in the post processing of results. In particular the concept to use acceleration sensors to capture global hull deformations along the length of the hull, and the use of a data fusion procedure to obtain section loads from combined sensor data and finite element calculations. The approach is illustrated by comparison of actually measured accelerations and local strains with values obtained from the data fusion model. It is concluded that the approach is promising but in need of further validation and development. In particular the number and shapes of the modes used may not have been sufficient to represent the true deflection and thus strain distributions along the high loaded areas.

경부고속철도 토공부의 자갈도상에 대한 진동특성 연구 (A Study on Dynamic characteristics in the Ballast gravel in Gyeongbu High Speed Railway)

  • The gravel ballast in the ballasted track has the function to not only transfer/scatter the train loads to subgrade through rail and sleeper but also elastically support the train loads. Because track irregularities results inevitably from the repetitive train loads, the track maintenance should be undertaken for correcting them. By analyzing the track maintenance history in the Gyeongbu high speed railway, this study tries to choose the local two spots in the railway in which the repair frequencies are maximum and relative small; to analyze their dynamic characteristics as well as grade; and to compare them with maintenance history. As the dynamic characteristics of track, the vertical displacement and vibrating acceleration of sleeper as well as acceleration of ballast are measured/analyzed. Furthermore, by collecting soil and gravel on the reinforced roadbed and undertaking ballast screening test, the size distributions are compared with grade distribution standards of high speed railway.

  • Railway plate girder bridges have characteristics that are not show dominant frequency in dynamic response frequencies like obtained vertical acceleration on the bridge during the train passing because the train loading relatively bigger than the bridge self-weight. This paper experimentally confirmed in FFT result has various frequencies due to inherent characteristic of railway train loading. To establish classification of dynamic frequency range in railway bridge acceleration during the train passing, vibration frequencies result from experimental test are analyzed concerning actuation vibration factors. Factors are train velocity, train type, mass ratio of vehicle/bridge, stiffness of bridge, bridge/track and vehicle/track. From the result, it is proposed that the frequencty classfication table with corresponding factors. Using the proposed table to develop rehabilitation technique of the plate girder bridge, to expect vibration reduction and comfort enhancement of the railway plate girder bridge.

쓰레기 매립지반의 지진거동 평가 (Seismic Response Evaluation of Waste Landfills)

  • Free-field ground motion during earthquake is significantly affected by the local site conditions and it is essential in the seismic design to perform the accurate site-specific ground response analysis. In this paper, one-dimensional seismic characteristics of waste landfill are studied based on the vertical propagation of horizontal shear waves through the column of soil/waste. Seismic response analysis is peformed for short-period, long-period and artificial earthquake ground motions using a computer program for seismic response analysis of horizontally layered soil deposits. The computed peak ground accelerations are compared with the values calculated according to Korean seismic design guidelines. The analysis result shows that the long-period earthquake causes the largest peak ground acceleration while the artificial earthquake results in the smallest one.

맥퍼슨형 반능동 현가장치의 노면적응형 스카이훅 제어와 HILS (Road Adaptive Skyhook Control and HILS for Semi-Active Macpherson Suspension Systems)

  • In this paper, a modified skyhook control for the semi-active Macpherson suspension system is investigated. A new model for the semi-active type suspension, which incorporates the rotational motion of the unsprung mass, is introduced and an output feedback control law using the skyhook control method is derived. The gains in the skyhook controller are adaptively adjusted by estimating the road conditions. Because two vertical acceleration sensors, one for the sprung mass and another for the unsprung mass, are used rather than using the angle sensor for the rotational motion of the control arm, the relative velocity of the rattle space is filtered using the acceleration signals. For testing the control performance, the actual damping force has been incorporated via the hardware-in-the-loop simulations. The performances of a passive damper and a semi-active damper are compared. Simulation results are provided.

Practical formula for determining peak acceleration of footbridge under walking considering human-structure interaction

  • In this paper, an analytical formulation is proposed to predict the vertical vibration response due to the pedestrian walking on a footbridge considering the human-structure interaction, where the footbridge and pedestrian are represented by the Euler beam and linear oscillator model, respectively. The derived coupled equation of motion is a nonlinear fourth-order partial differential equation. An uncoupled solution strategy based on the combined weighted residual and perturbation method) is proposed to reduce the tedious computation, which allows the separate integration between the bridge and pedestrian subsystems. The theoretical study demonstrates that the pedestrian subsystem can be treated as a structural system with added mass, damping, and stiffness. The analysis procedure is then applied to a case study under the conditions of single pedestrian and multi pedestrians, and the results are validated and compared numerically. For convenient vibration design of a footbridge, the simplified peak acceleration formula and the idea of decoupling problem are thus proposed.

초임계 이산화탄소의 수직 상향 유동에서의 관내 열전달에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation of Heat Transfer During Vertical Upward Flow of Supercritical CO2 in Circular Tube)

  • 초임계 $CO_2$의 수직상향유동에서의 난류열전달에 관한 실험적연구가 내경 4.5 mm의 원형관에서 수행되었다. 실험범위는 유체평균온도 $29-115^{\circ}C$, 압력 74.6 - 102.6 bar, 국부 벽면 열유속 $38-234kW/m^2$ 그리고 질량유속 $208-874kg/m^2s$였다. 중간정도의 벽면 열유속 및 낮은 질량유속에서 벽면온도는 확연한 최대점을 나타냈다. 열전달에 대한 부력 및 유동가속의 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 실험 및 참조상관식(Kranoshchekov and Protopopov)에서 획득된 Nusselt 수의 비를 부력 및 유동가속을 나타내는 변수인 $Bo^*$$q^+$를 이용하여 분석하였다. 이 분석을 통해 유동가속 변수인 $q^+$는 실험에서의 열전달 현상을 적절히 표현할 수 있는 변수라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 초임계 유체의 수직상향 유동에서의 새로운 열전달 상관식이 개발되었으며, 이 상관식은 ${\pm}30%$의 오차범위에서 실험데이터를 잘 예측하였다.
