간선도로 좌곡선부 전후구간 수막현상 방지를 위한 종·횡단경사 조합 적용방안 (A Method of Compounding Application of Longitudinal Grade and Superelevation on Left Curved Section in Arterial for Preventing Hydroplaning)

  • PURPOSES : This study aims to evaluate the road safety of the super-elevation transition section of a left turn curve and suggest the minimum longitudinal grade of a super-elevation transition section to be used before and after a left curved section. METHODS : We evaluated the road condition by means of the safety-criterion-evaluation method involving side friction factors, and then solve the problem by introducing the minimum longitudinal grade criterion based on conditions described in the hydraulics literature. RESULTS : It was calculated that when a road satisfies hydroplaning conditions, the difference between side friction assumed and side friction demanded is less than -0.04. In this case, the safety criterion for the condition is unsatisfied. Conversely, when a road is in a normal state under either wet or dry conditions, it was calculated that the difference between side friction assumed and side friction demanded is more than 0.01. Thus, the safety criterion for this condition is found to be satisfied. After adjusting the minimum longitudinal grade applied to a super-elevation transition section, the hydroplaning condition can be eliminated and the safety criterion can be met for all sections. CONCLUSIONS : It is suggested that a minimum longitudinal grade should be provided on super-elevation transition sections in order to prevent hydroplaning.

유리횡복직근피판에서 거상 전후의 피하정맥압의 변화 (Change of Venous Pressure of Superficial Vascular System during Free TRAM Flap Elevation)

  • Purpose: Free transverse rectus abdominis musculocutaneous(TRAM) flap is one of the most popular methods of breast reconstruction. But if fat necrosis and fatty induration occur at the reconstructed breast, they can make the breast harder and make it difficult to differentiate a tumor recurrence from them. To expect and prevent these complications, we measured the pressure change of the superficial venous system whose congestion can be the cause of them. Methods: An intraoperative clinical study was done to compare venous pressure of superficial inferior epigastric vein(SIEV) before and after the elevation of free TRAM flap. Fourteen TRAM flaps were included and the pressures of SIEV were measured two times at the beginning of the elevation and just before the division of the inferior pedicle. Results: The venous pressure in free TRAM flap was significantly higher after the flap elevation at both contralateral side and ipsilateral(p=0.005 and p=0.026 respectively). The four cases with vertical scar shower significantly greater increase at contralateral side than ipsilateral side(p=0.020). Conclusion: Intraoperative venous pressure recording can be an objective data for evaluating the congestion of TRAM flap and can help to prevent the complications of fat necrosis and fatty induration with venous superdrainage.

외안근의 운동력에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Active Force of Extraocular Muscles)

  • 목적: 정상인 청년 62명(남: 29, 여: 33)을 대상으로 단안운동과 양안운동 시에 외안근의 운동력을 조사하고자 실시하였다. 방법: 단안운동력 검사에서는 우 좌안의 내전과 외전 그리고 상전과 하전능력을 제 l안위에서의 각막윤부를 기점으로 한 둔동거리로 측정하였고 양안운동력 검사에서는 우 좌안의 상사근과 하사근의 운동능력을 각막 윤부간 거리차로 측정하였으며 데이터 값은 고해상도 디지털 카메라를 이용하여 사진데이터를 얻은 후 high resolution digital image process를 거쳐 처리하였다. 결과: 조사대상 남여의 단안운동기능은 우 좌안에서 각각 외전능력은 (남) 9.35 mm. 9.75 mm. (여) 9.02 mm. 9.52 mm 이고, 내전능력은 (남) 10.23 mm. 10.16 mm, (여) 10.17 mm, 10.07 mm이었으며 상전능력은 (남) 7.01 mm, 6.91 mm, (여) 6.98 mm, 6.64 mm이고 하전능력은 (남) 7.52 mm. 6.82 mm, (여) 7.52 mm, 6.67 mm이었다. 조사대상자의 양안운동기능은 우 좌안에서 각각 하사근은 54.8% 기능항진, 45.1% 기능저하/67.7% 기능항진, 32.2% 기능저하이고, 상사근의 경우는 64.5% 기능항진, 35.5% 기능저하/58.1% 기능항진, 41.9% 기능저하이었다. 결론: 수평운동능력이 수직운동능력보다 더 우세하였으며, 수평운동에서는 내전능력이 외전능력보다 약간 더 우세하였고 수직운동에서는 하전능력이 상전능력보다 약간 더 우세하였다. 우 좌안의 하사근 모두 기증항진의 경우가 더 높은 비율로 나타났다.

복수의 수중 소나를 활용한 수중 로봇의 3차원 지형 맵핑에 관한 연구 (Study on Seabed Mapping using Two Sonar Devices for AUV Application)

  • This study addresses a method for 3D reconstruction using acoustic data with heterogeneous sonar devices: Forward-Looking Multibeam Sonar (FLMS) and Profiling Sonar (PS). The challenges in sonar image processing are perceptual ambiguity, the loss of elevation information, and low signal to noise ratio, which are caused by the ranging and intensity-based image generation mechanism of sonars. The conventional approaches utilize additional constraints such as Lambertian reflection and redundant data at various positions, but they are vulnerable to environmental conditions. Our approach is to use two sonars that have a complementary data type. Typically, the sonars provide reliable information in the horizontal but, the loss of elevation information degrades the quality of data in the vertical. To overcome the characteristic of sonar devices, we adopt the crossed installation in such a way that the PS is laid down on its side and mounted on the top of FLMS. From the installation, FLMS scans horizontal information and PS obtains a vertical profile of the front area of AUV. For the fusion of the two sonar data, we propose the probabilistic approach. A likelihood map using geometric constraints between two sonar devices is built and a monte-carlo experiment using a derived model is conducted to extract 3D points. To verify the proposed method, we conducted a simulation and field test. As a result, a consistent seabed map was obtained. This method can be utilized for 3D seabed mapping with an AUV.

지상보수교육강좌 1 - 상악동저 거상술을 동반한 임프란트 동시 식립의 예지성 평가; 측방접근술과 치조정접근술의 비교 (Predictability of simultaneous implant placement with sinus floor elevation in the severely atrophic posterior maxillae ; Comparison of lateral and trans-crestal approaches)

  • Purpose The aim of this study is to evaluate the survival rates and analyze the stability of lateral approach and trans-crestal approach for maxillary sinus floor elevation of simultaneous implant placement. Materials and method 407 patients who have been treated in LivingWell dental hospital between 2003 to 2009 were selected. Lateral window technique, osteotome technique and sinus drill technique were used for sinus floor elevation procedure. A total of 714 implants-MP-1 HA coated implant(Tapered Screw $Vent^{TM}$, $Spline^{TM}$, Zimmer, USA), FBR surfaced implant(Pitt-$Easy^{TM}$, Oraltronics, Germany)-were placed in grafted maxillary sinus simultaneously. The autogenous bone or a combination with the allograft or alloplast was grafted into sinus. Sinus floor elevation was combined with vertical/horizontal onlay bone grafts to reconstruct the defect of alveolar ridge. Results The average preoperative height of the maxillary alveolar bone was 5.78mm(range: 0.4mm~12.5mm). 14 implants failed during the healing period(lateral approach: 4, trans-crestal approach: 10) and 3 implant failed after prosthetic loading(lateral approach: 2, trans-crestal approach: 1). The cumulative survival rate of implants after 6 years was 97.6%. Trans-crestal approach(97.4%) and lateral approach(97.9%) had similar survival rates. Conclusion The results indicate that the trans-crestal approach and lateral approach for maxillary sinus elevation is a acceptable method at atrophic maxillary posterior area.

전산화단층촬영법을 이용한 상악동 측벽의 형태학적 분석 (Morphological Analysis of the Sinus Lateral Wall using Computed Tomography)

  • 이번 연구는 전산화단층촬영법 (computed tomography)을 이용하여 상악동 측벽의 두께를 측정하고, 상악동 거상술을 위한 측벽창 (lateral wall window)형성 시 가장 적절한 수직적 위치를 평가하고자 한다. 상악동 거상술이 필요한 30명 환자의 전산화단층촬영 방사선영상을 대상으로 분석하였다. 상악동 측벽의 두께는 상악동 하연을 기준으로 수직적 위치에 따라 분류하고, 3회 반복 측정하여 평균을 구하였다. 상악동 측벽의 두께는 상악동 하연 (sinus inferior border, SIB)을 기준으로 상방 2 mm (SIB + 2) 까지는 2 mm 이상으로 관찰되었고, 상악동의 하연을 기준으로 3 mm 상방 (SIB + 3)에서는 2 mm 미만으로 나타났다. 이번 연구에서 근거하여 측방 접근법을 이용한 상악동 거상술에서 측벽창의 위치는 상악골의 하연을 기준으로 약 3 mm 상방에서 형성하는 것이 적절할 것으로 사료된다.

Achievable Sum Rate Analysis of ZF Receivers in 3D MIMO Systems

  • Three-dimensional multiple-input multiple-output (3D MIMO) and large-scale MIMO are two promising technologies for upcoming high data rate wireless communications, since the inter-user interference can be reduced by exploiting antenna vertical gain and degree of freedom, respectively. In this paper, we derive the achievable sum rate of 3D MIMO systems employing zero-forcing (ZF) receivers, accounting for log-normal shadowing fading, path-loss and antenna gain. In particular, we consider the prevalent log-normal model and propose a novel closed-form lower bound on the achievable sum rate exploiting elevation features. Using the lower bound as a starting point, we pursue the "large-system" analysis and derive a closed-form expression when the number of antennas grows large for fixed average transmit power and fixed total transmit power schemes. We further model a high-building with several floors. Due to the floor height, different floors correspond to different elevation angles. Therefore, the asymptotic achievable sum rate performances for each floor and the whole building considering the elevation features are analyzed and the effects of tilt angle and user distribution for both horizontal and vertical dimensions are discussed. Finally, the relationship between the achievable sum rate and the number of users is investigated and the optimal number of users to maximize the sum rate performance is determined.

수직 위상 배열 안테나 기반 기상 레이다에서의 해수면 클러터 제거 성능 분석 (Analysis of Sea Clutter Removal Capability in a Weather Radar Based on a Vertical Phased Array Antenna)

  • 국지적인 기상 이변이나 강우 현상 등을 분석하고 예보하기 위해서는 지역별로 저고도 탐색이 가능한 다수의 단거리 기상 레이다들이 필요하다. 그러나 이러한 레이다들의 특성인 낮은 고각의 전자파 빔 때문에 지표면 및 해수면 클러터가 기상 반사 신호를 오염시킬 가능성이 매우 높다. 대부분의 지표면 클러터는 매우 낮은 도플러 주파수 부근에 집중되어 나타나므로 주파수 대역에서의 구분이 비교적 용이한 편이다. 그러나 해수면 클러터의 경우 도플러 주파수 점유대역이 기상조건에 따라 매우 넓게 나타날 수 있기 때문에 클러터의 제거가 매우 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전자적인 고각 빔 조향을 위하여 수직 위상 배열 안테나 구조를 갖는 기상 레이다에서의 해수면 클러터 제거 성능 정도를 분석하였다. 또한 위상배열 안테나의 수신 빔 형성을 통하여 해수면 클러터의 제거가 적절하게 이루어질 수 있음을 보였다.

Variation of Medicinal Plants Species Richness along Vertical Gradient in Makawanpur District, Nepal

  • The research attempted to analyze the medicinal plant species richness in the vertical gradient from lower to the highest elevation of Makawanpur, focusing on the relationship between species richness and elevation which is very important for conservation and management of species diversity. Inventory was carried out in the study area by taking sampling intensity of 0.5% in the effective area. Altogether, 42 sample plots were laid in the field with the help of GIS software maintaining 50 m altitude difference. High species diversity was found in the herbs species whereas shrubs have comparatively low species diversity. The maximum species richness is found in herbs and poles whereas shrubs and trees have relatively low species richness. Research showed that species richness of medicinal plants increased with altitudinal gradient. While analyzing the species richness from 350 to 2,550 m (msl), the highest species richness was received with the elevation ranges from 1,800 m to 2,300 m. There was a positive relationship between species richness and altitudinal gradient in the study area. In addition, we have recorded the high value medicinal plants after 1,800 m altitude and rarely within 1,000 m. Medicinal plants correlated both positive and negative relationships with the increased altitude. The altitudinal response has positively seen except density (n/ha) of Shrubs. Domestication and cultivation of high value medicinal plants should be promoted in community forest including private lands. Training, workshops and awareness programs should be conducted to make people aware about medicinal plants resource utilization, conservation and commercialization of available medicinal plants.

과도한 치아 마모와 절단교합을 보이는 환자에서 최소한의 수직 고경 증가를 통한 구강회복 증례 (Rehabilitation with minimal increase in occlusal vertical dimension in a patient with excessive tooth wear and edge-to-edge bite)

  • 치아의 마모는 노화로 인한 정상적인 과정이지만, 과도한 마모는 치아 구조물 상실, 치아민감성 증가, 치수 합병증 등 여러 합병증을 야기한다. 과도한 치아 마모 환자의 치료는 수직교합고경 상실 여부의 평가가 우선되어야 하는데, 보철수복공간이 부족할 경우 수직교합고경 증가가 필요할 수 있고, 종합적인 분석을 통해 치료계획을 수립하고 최소한의 증가량을 결정해야 한다. 본 증례는 66세 남환으로 심한 치아의 마모로 인한 저작기능 회복 및 심미적인 회복을 위해 내원하였다. 구강 검사, 방사선 검사, 진단 모형 검사 등을 통해 수직교합고경을 평가하고, 최소한의 수직교합고경 증가를 동반한 보철수복을 계획하였다. 8개월 간의 관찰 결과 중심위에서 치아의 균일한 접촉, 적절한 전방 및 측방 유도를 부여하였고, 환자의 기능적 문제를 해결하고 심미적 요구사항을 만족시킬 수 있었기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.
