  • At present, numerous hospitals and medical institutes have implemented Telecare Medicine Information Systems (TMIS) with authentication protocols to enable secure, efficient electronic transactions for e-medicine. Numerous studies have investigated the use of authentication protocols to construct efficient, robust health care services, and recently, Liu et al. presented an authenticated key agreement mechanism for TMIS. They argued that their mechanism can prevent various types of attacks and preserve a secure environment. However, we discovered that Liu et al.'s mechanism presents some vulnerabilities. First, their mechanism uses an improper identification process for user biometrics; second, the mechanism is not guaranteed to protect against server spoofing attacks; third, there is no session key verification process in the authentication process. As such, we describe how the above-mentioned attacks operate and suggest an upgraded security mechanism for TMIS. We analyze the security and performance of our method to show that it improves security relative to comparable schemes and also operates in an efficient manner.

  • In this paper, a pneumatic device for the deployment performance verification of canards deployed by inertia has been designed and the performance of the pneumatic device has been proven through analysis and tests. The pneumatic conveying process, orifice opening process and piston movement process of the pneumatic device were investigated by using numerical methods. The orifice diameter, pressure in a pressure tank and type of gas were regarded as the main design parameters of the pneumatic device. The error rate between analysis and test results under the same conditions was within 4 %. The accuracy of numerical methods used in this study were validated.

  • Most of satellite program process consists of mission analysis, thermal, structure, electronics design, and operation, etc. Each step has several steps like design phase, development phase, and verification phase, etc. As to do this kind of process, very high costs and much time are required, further high risk is included. So for solving those difficulties, satellite developers have designed and used satellite simulator system. In early stage of satellite development, simulator system was just used for a fragment of development and verification, so it could not give enough advantage on satellite development. In order to get high advantage on satellite development, full system level simulators which can be used for several steps for development and verification are evolved. So This paper introduces the trend of simulation systems for satellite development and verification used by several satellite developers.

  • This paper is a study on FEED validation model that can be used in the bidding stage of small utility equipment in offshore plant industry using system engineering technique. Currently, domestic marine plant equipment industry companies are faced with the financial risk of project execution as they enter marine plant. The major cause was the insufficient ability to verify the FEED output from the contractor (Engineering or Procurement and Construction) of the equipment manufacturer (COMPANY or EPC). Therefore, we propose FEED design verification method that simplifies the system engineering method that sequentially applies requirements analysis, function, performance analysis and physical architecture building process. Also, we verified the suitability of the developed model by comparing the results of applying the developed FEED verification model and the verification method that depends on the existing experience for the small utility equipment (Air Compressor).

  • This paper is a study on validation model that can verify the arrangement of equipment constituting offshore plant using system engineering approach in offshore plant tender stage. In order to design offshore plant topside maintenance equipment, topside layout verification should be preceded. However, there are many errors in the bidding stage due to the FEED results that are not perfect, the verification can not be performed sufficiently due to the limitation of the bidding period and others reasons. Therefore, we propose a validation model that can effectively verify the equipment layout within a limited condition by simplifying the main process in the system engineering process, which is a multidisciplinary approach, and confirmed through the Functional Deployment Model. Also, we verified the validation model for topside equipment deployment through case studies.

  • With the development of autonomous driving technology, as the use of software in vehicles increases, the complexity of the system increases and the difficulty of development increases. Developments that meet ISO 26262 must be carried out to reduce the malfunctions that may occur in vehicles where the system is becoming more complex. ISO 26262 for the functional safety of the vehicle industry proposes to consider functional safety from the design stage to all stages of development. Specifically at the software level, the requirements to be complied with during development and the requirements to be complied with during verification are defined. However, it is not clearly expressed about specific design methods or development methods, and it is necessary to supplement development guidelines. The importance of analysis and verification of requirements is increasing due to the development of technology and the increase of system complexity. The vehicle industry must carry out developments that meet functional safety requirements while carrying out various development activities. We propose a process that reflects the perspective of system engineering to meet the smooth application and developmentrequirements of ISO 26262. In addition, the safety analysis/verification FMEA processforthe safety of the proposed ISO 26262 function was conducted based on the FCAS (Forward Collision Avoidance Assist System) function applied to autonomous vehicles and the results were confirmed. In addition, the safety analysis/verification FMEA process for the safety of the proposed ISO 26262 function was conducted based on the FCAS (Forward Collision Avoidance Assist System) function applied to the advanced driver assistance system and the results were confirmed.

  • In this paper, we propose a new type of process discovery framework, which is named as control-path-driven process group discovery framework, to be used for process mining and process reengineering in supporting life-cycle management of business process models. In addition, we develop a process mining system based on the proposed framework and perform experimental verification through it. The process execution event logs applied to the experimental effectiveness and verification are specially defined as Process BIG-Logs, and we use it as the input datasets for the proposed discovery framework. As an eventual goal of this paper, we design and implement a control path-driven process group discovery algorithm and framework that is improved from the ρ-algorithm, and we try to verify the functional correctness of the proposed algorithm and framework by using the implemented system with a BIG-Log dataset. Note that all the process mining algorithm, framework, and system developed in this paper are based on the structural information control net process modeling methodology.

  • Software quality is strongly associated with requirement quality. Accordingly, companies are trying effect for enhancing requirement quality. But, it is difficult to verify the requirement of specification format, which have to rely on abnormal business knowledge of analyst. Also, it is insufficient to normal methodology or automated technique for enhancing requirement quality of specification format. In this paper, we propose the process of requirement verification and automated verification tool for enhancing requirement quality. we compare the external view design and internal view design for verifying requirement. In the case study, we evaluate the feasibility of the proposed automated verification technique of requirement.
