심폐소생술 시행 시 구령집단과 비구령집단 간의 심폐소생술 정확도 비교 (Comparison of Accuracy in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) between Group with Verbal Order and Group with Non-Verbal Order in Operation of CPR)

  • 본 연구는 심폐소생술 시행 시 구령집단과 비구령집단 간의 심폐소생술 정확도 비교를 통하여 심폐소생술 시행에 효율성과 정확성을 높이고자 한다. 본 연구는 G도에 소재 대학생 62명(비구령집단 31명, 구령집단 31명)을 편의추출 하였으며, 조사기간은 2010년 10월 7일부터 10월 21일까지 이루어졌다. 분석방법은 SPSS WIN(Version 12.0) 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 심폐소생술 시행 시 비구령집단이 구령집단보다 여러 영역에서 인공호흡과 가슴압박에 대한 심폐소생술의 정확도가 높게 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 차후 심폐소생술 교육과 술기를 수행함에 있어서 비구령방법을 적용해 볼 필요가 있다. 그리고 응급상황에서 구령방법과 비구령방밥 간의 효과성에 대한 지속적 연구도 필요하다.

간호사의 언어직무스트레스 (Verbal job stress experienced by Nurses.)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand verbal violence and stress experienced by nurses, to identify measures to reduce such stress, and to present basic information needed for performing their professional roles. The results of this study are as follows. First the types of verbal violence by doctors, nurses, patients and their caregivers included "they speak roughly" and "they speak in a commanding tone" when they were marked on the basis of 5 points. In other words, speaking roughly is highest in frequency. Second, the main harmers of verbal violence were doctors, nurses, and patients and their caregivers, and thus verbal violence by nurses was most frequent. Third, the emotional reactions of the nurses after verbal violence were "angry", "frustrated", and "depressed" in order. As a result of analysis of effects on the emotional reactions of nurses. Fourth, the job stress of the nurses after experience of verbal violence was show as "frequently struggling with friends", "frequently struggling with family members", and "frequently drinking" in order. Fifth, based on general characteristics, the emotional reactions and job stress of nurses after verbal violence were significant on age, acdemic years, and current workplace, and the job stress of nurses after verbal violence was significant on marriage, clinical career, department of working, and types of working. This study may be significant in that it suggests methods of intervention, safe job environment, and administrative institution to relieve the emotional reactions of nurses after verbal violence, to reduce their stress, and to support the emotional reactions of nurses experienced verbal violence.

유아의 수줍음과 교사-유아 관계 간의 관계에 대한 유아 언어능력의 조절효과 (The Moderating Effect of Children's Verbal Ability in the Relation Between a Child's Shyness and Teacher-Child Relationships in Kindergarten)

  • Objective: The purpose of the present study was to explore the moderating role of children's verbal ability in the relation between shyness and teacher-child relationships. Methods: Participants were 200 children, their mothers, and their kindergarten teachers. Children's shyness was rated by their mothers and teachers, and children's verbal ability was measured using the language problem solving ability test. And teachers completed a rating scale in order to examine the teacher-child relationship. The collected data were analyzed using correlations and hierarchical multiple regressions. Results: Children's shyness had a negative relation to close teacher-child relationships. And child's verbal ability was significantly related to teacher-child relationships. Hierachical regression analysis indicted to the interaction of child's shyness and verbal ability predicted close teacher-child relationships. Children's shyness, those who demonstrated the lowest level of child's verbal ability, was significantly associated with close teacher-child relationships. Children's shyness had no significant relation to close teacher-child relationships, especially for the highest level of children's verbal ability. Conclusion/Implications: We suggested that verbal ability training for children might be valuable for shy children in order to buffer the link between shyness and teacher-child relationships.

응급실 간호사의 언어폭력경험과 공감피로 및 직무열의의 관계 (The Relationship between Experience of Verbal Abuse, Compassion Fatigue, and Work Engagement in Emergency Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study is a descriptive research study to identify the relationship between the experience of verbal abuse, compassion fatigue, and work engagement among nurses in the emergency unit. Methods: Study subjects were 107 nurses working in a university hospital in Gyeonggi-Do. The instruments used were a verbal abuse checklist, a subscale of the Professional Quality of Life Scale used to measure compassion fatigue, and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale. The data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS version 22.0 program for independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: Emergency nurses experienced more verbal abuse and compassion fatigue than nurses in other departments, and the level of work engagement was low. There was a positive correlation between experience of verbal abuse and compassion fatigue and a negative correlation between both of these variables and work engagement. Particularly, verbal abuse appeared in the order of nurses, patients & caregivers, and doctors. This means there were serious problems with communication with nurses. Conclusion: In order to reduce verbal abuse, it is necessary to establish a communication culture of mutual respect between nurses, medical staff, patients & caregivers. Moreover, a compassion fatigue management program is needed to reduce emotional fatigue.

Situational and Verbal Irony, and Paradox Revisited

  • This paper revisits some old issues of irony, i.e., situational vs. verbal irony, and irony vs. paradox, in order to further clarify the issues. Although these issues seem to have been fully discussed, there are still unresolved and/or vague aspects that need to be accounted for. This paper also revisits the issue of theorizing the phenomenon of verbal irony, which has long been scrutinized by many philosophers and linguists including Aristotle, Grice, Sperber and Wilson, and recently, Utsumi and Attardo.

심폐소생술 시 구조자의 간소화된 구령방법과 연속된 구령방법 간의 가슴압박 질 효과 (Effects of Chest Compression Quality between Rescuer's Simplified Verbal-Order Method and Continued Verbal-Order Method during Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

  • 본 연구는 심폐소생술 시 음성측정기를 활용하여 구조자의 간소화된 구령방법과 연속된 구령방법과의 가슴압박 질 비교를 통해 심폐소생술의 효율성을 높이고자 한다. 대상자는 C도 소재 응급구조과 재학생으로 심폐소생술 15주 교육과정을 이수한 89명(실험군 45명, 대조군 44명)을 무작위추출 하여 시행하였다. 집단 구분은 간소화된 구령집단을 실험군, 연속적 구령집단을 대조군으로 하였다. 실험측정 기간은 1차(2011년 11월 10일, 11월 28일)와 2차(2012년 9월3일-9월4일)로 진행하였다. 분석은 SPSS WIN 12.0 program을 사용하였다. 연구결과 적절한 가슴압박(회, %)은 실험군(102.86회, 67.79%)이 대조군(85.31회, 55.84%) 보다 가슴압박 질 효과가 높았다(p<.05). 반면, 약한 가슴압박(회) 시행은 실험군(35.54회) 보다 대조군(61.13회)이 높았다. 성별에 있어서는 실험군의 남자가, 체중에 있어서는 실험군의 60kg이상이 적절한 가슴압박을 보였다(p<.05).

어머니 애착수준 및 언어통제유형과 영아의 언어발달 간의 관계 (The Relationship between Mothers' Attachment Levels, Types of Verbal Control, and Infants' Language Development)

  • This study aims to examine the relationship between mothers' attachment levels, types of verbal control, and infants' language development. The selected participants comprised 224 infants, aged 24-35 months and their mothers (224) at 25 long day care centers located Goyang-si, Gimpo-si in Gyeonggi-do, Incheon and Seoul. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, there were significant differences in mothers' attachment levels, types of verbal control, and infants' language development depending on the mothers' employment status. Secondly, to assess the relative influences of two variables which were significantly associated with infants' language development, the sociodemographic variables of mothers and infants, including infants' age and mothers' employment status, were controlled in order to conduct hierarchical regression analysis. The results revealed that imperative-oriented verbal controls, person-oriented verbal controls, and contact seeking all influenced infants' overall language development.

협동학습 과정에서의 언어적 행동과 학업 성취도와의 관계 (The Relationships between Verbal Behaviors and Academic Achievement in Cooperative Learning)

  • 본 연구에서는 중학교 1학년 37명을 대상으로 과학 수업에서 협동학습을 실시하고 소집단 협동학습 과정을 녹음/녹화하였다. 이를 토대로 협동학습 과정에서 발생하는 언어적 행동 유형을 범주화하고 이들과 학업 성취도 사이의 관계를 조사하였다. 학생들의 언어적 행동은 크게 학습 내용과 관련된 행동 및 조 활동 관리와 관련된 행동으로 구분되었다. 학습 내용과 관련된 행동은 도움 주기, 문제 읽기, 도움 요청하기로 세분되었으며, 이 중 도움 주기 행동이 가장 많았다. 학생들의 언어적 행동과 학업 성취도 사이의 단순 상관 관계를 조사한 결과, 도움 주기와 문제 읽기 행동이 학업 성취도와 정적인 상관이 있었다. 도움 주기 중 구체적인 내용을 제공하는 행동은 학업 성취도와 매우 밀접한 관계가 있었다. 한편, 부분 상관을 통하여 언어적 행동과 학업 성취도 향상과의 관계를 조사한 결과, 상위 수준의 사고를 요하는 적용 영역 성취도의 향상만이 구체적인 내용 제공하기를 비롯한 일부 언어적 행동과 정적인 상관이 있었다.

영유아 손자녀와 그림책읽기 시 조모의 언어적·비언어적 상호작용 분석 연구 (Analysis of Verbal and Nonverbal Behaviors of Grandmothers during Young Grandchildren-Grandmother Picture Book Reading)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate grandmothers' verbal and nonverbal behaviors during young grandchildren-grandmother picture book reading. Methods: Participants were fifty-two children aged 22-42 months and their grandmothers. The researcher visited participating children's homes or child care centers and videotaped grandchildren-grandmother book reading activities. Each grandmother read two picture books for each observation. Grandmother surveys were administered after the reading activities. Parent surveys were completed by parents and were returned to the researcher. Results: First, grandmothers began reading picture books to grandchildren when children were 6 to 11-months-old or 12 to 17-months-old. They spent 5 to 10 minutes or 10 to 15 minutes at a time reading books. Second, grandmothers' most frequent verbal behavior during young grandchildren-grandmother picture book reading was 'explaining,' followed by 'questioning,' and 'providing feedback,' in that order. Grandmothers' MLU-eojeol during grandchildren-grandmother reading was 2.56. Their most frequently used nonverbal behavior was 'pointing,' followed by 'gestures.' Lastly, there was a significant difference in grandmothers' verbal and nonverbal behaviors during grandchildren-grandmother reading, depending on the grandmothers' characteristics. Conclusion/Implications: Grandmothers use various verbal and nonverbal behaviors during grandchildren-grandmother picture book reading activities, and there are significant differences in grandmothers' verbal and nonverbal behaviors with grandchildren based on grandmothers' characteristics.

이질적으로 구성된 소집단 협동학습에서의 언어적 상호작용 (Verbal Interactions in Heterogeneous Small-group Cooperative Learning)

  • 이질적으로 구성된 소집단 협동학습에서의 내적 과정을 이해하기 위해서 이 연구에서는 과학 수업에서의 협동학습 과정에서 나타나는 성취 수준별 상호작용 양상을 조사하였다. 성취 수준별 언어적 행동의 빈도를 비교하여 언어적 상호작용에의 참여 정도 및 방식을 조사하였다. 그리고 상호작용에 대한 학생들의 인식을 조사하여 성취 수준에 따른 상호작용 양상도 분석하였다. 조사 결과, 상위와 중위 학생 사이에는 언어적 행동의 빈도에 차이가 없었으며, 소집단의 언어적 상호작용은 상위와 중위 학생이 서로 협력하여 공동으로 의미를 구성해나가는 방식으로 일어났다. 상위와 중위 학생 사이의 활발한 상호작용은 학생들의 인식 조사를 통해서도 확인되었다. 즉, 과학수업에서의 협동학습 과정에서는 중위 학생도 적극적이고 활발하게 소집단 활동에 참여하고 있었다.
