실내공기질을 고려한 공동주택의 하이브리드 환기 시스템의 운영에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operational Strategy for Hybrid Ventilation System in Apartment unit focused on Indoor Air Quality)

  • This dissertation identifies and investigates the possible control modes of hybrid ventilation system in applying to general apartments. It evaluates range of hybrid ventilation control modes in terms of indoor air quality, thermal comfort, and energy consumption in a living room and a kitchen of the $1000m^2$ apartment. The TRNSYS simulation program was used for evaluating the following four ventilation types : A ventilation mode relying on only infiltration for supplying air, A natural ventilation mode considering with weather condition, A hybrid ventilation (natural + mechanical ventilation) mode allowing minimum ventilation with no heat exchange, and a hybrid ventilation mode with heat exchange. This study shows the following results. As temperature being controlled by heating cooling equipments, there is without significant difference in thermal performance among ventilation types. Regarding Indoor Air quality, Indoor air contamination level of the hybrid ventilation case consistently keep the lower levels. The hybrid ventilation modes consume more energy by a 49% as compared to the A ventilation mode relying on only infiltration for supplying air. It is caused by the continuous ventilation for keeping good indoor air quality; the increase of energy consumption can be attributable to the increase of the heating energy. Therefore, the heat exchange between indoor and outdoor air is required during heating season in severe weather conditions. During the cooling seasons, Introducing natural ventilation can achieve energy saving by 40 ~ 45%. Thus, it can be an effective strategies for energy saving. Based on these results, a hybrid ventilation system can be suggested as an effective ventilation strategy for archiving high level of indoor air quality, thermal comfort, and energy consumption.

화재열차의 역사 접근 시 PSD가 설치된 역사 제연을 위한 환기장치 운전 비정상상태 해석 (A transient CFD simulation of ventilation system operation for smoke control in a subway station equipped with a Platform Screen Door(PSD) when a train under fire is approaching the station)

  • The heat and smoke which generated by subway under fire is one of the most harmful factor in air tighten underground station. To prevent this, Trackway Exhaust System(TES) can be used. The heat released from the train running in the tunnel raises the temperature at the platform and the trackway, and thus proper ventilation system is required for comfortable underground environment. When the fire is occurred, TES is operated as smoke exhaust mode from normal ventilation mode. In the present study, the subway station which is one of the line number 9 in Seoul subway is modeled, and fired situation is simulated with several ventilation mode of ventilation system in trackway. For this simulation whole station is modeled. Non steady state 3D simulation which considered train under fire is entering to the station is performed. Temperature and smoke distribution in platform and trackway are compared. To represent heat by fire, heat flux was given to the fired carriage, also to describe smoke by fire, concentration of CO is represented. As the result of present study, temperature and smoke distribution is different as the method of ventilation in trackway and platform is changed. In over side of trackway, the fan must be operated as exhaust mode for efficient elimination of heat and smoke, and supply mode of fan operation in under side shows better distribution of heat and smoke. The ventilation system which is changed from ventilation mode to exhaust mode can be applied to control heat and smoke under fire.

공동주택에서 환기장치류 가동특성에 따른 실내공기질 변화특성에 관한 연구 (The Effects to Indoor Air Quality as Ventilation System Operation in Apartment House Using CFD Simulation)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the effective ventilation strategies and control methods that can minimize energy cost maintaining acceptable IAQ level in apartment house. The effects of the air-cleaning and heat-recovery ventilation system on IAQ under various operating conditions are investigated based on the experimental and CFD analyzed results. The results can be summarized as follows. (1) When a ventilator is not operated, the concentration of several pollutants may highly show in the house even though environment-friendly building materials are applied. Therefore, a mechanical ventilation system is required to obtain proper ventilation. (2) The pollutant concentration is noticeably deceased under air-cleaning/ventilation mode of air-clinic system, however, pollutant of kitchen is stagnant, because fresh air is not carried into the kitchen. (3) When air-clinic system is only equipped at master bedroom and living room, the system does not effectively deliver fresh air throughout the whole house, and then high pollutant concentration is obtained in each room. In contrast the average pollutant concentration meets the guideline when air-clinic system is installed at each room. (4) The air-cleaning/ventilation mode significantly affects on room ventilation in comparison with ventilation mode only.

TLC와 컬러화상처리를 이용한 자동차 실내 환기유동의 온도장 측정 (Temperature Field Measurement of Ventilation Flow in a Vehicle Interior)

  • The variations of the temperature field in a passenger compartment were measured by using a HSI true color image processing system and TLC(Thermochromic Liquid Crystal) solution. This temperature measurement technique was proved to be useful for analyzing the ventilation flow. The flow field in the passenger compartment was visualized using a particle streak method with pulsed laser light sheet. The temperature field and flow field in the passenger copartment were affected significantly by the ventilation mode. The panel-vent mode heating had shorter elapse time to reach a uniform temperature than the foot-vent mode under the same ventilation condition and nonuniformity inside the passenger compartment could be minimized effectively by using the bilevel heating mode. The temperature increase rate in the rear passenger compartment was iower than the front compartment, especially in the vicinity of the rear seat occupants' knee level.

  • Cooling the building by natural ventilation is one of the passive methods widely used from ancient times. It can be effectively applied especially in case of cooling load during the intermediate season of the year. In this study, the effect of 4 cases of window ventilation control mode which are 'Always Close', 'Temperature', 'Enthalpy' and 'Always Open' is simulated by Energyplus program and analyzed to improve the comfort of occupants and reduce energy consumption of the school classroom.

지하철 화재시 제연모드에 따른 열 및 연기 배출 특성 연구 (A Study on Heat and Smoke Exhaust Characteristics from the Subway Fire for Different Ventilation Modes)

  • 본 연구는 지하철에서 화재발생시 최적의 제연모드 예측을 목적으로 수치해석을 수행하였다. 현재 국내 지하철 화재발생시 제연모드는 승강장 내 화재구역 배기, 비화재구역 급기 또는 정지로 설정 되어있다. 수치해석 조건은 2가지 국내 비상시 제연모드 및 발화 4분(승강장 피난허용시간, NFPA 130) 이전까지 승강장에서 배기를 하며, 발화 4분이 후 터널 배기로 전환되는 스위치모드의 3가지 경우에 대하여 비교 분석하였다. 승객 호흡높이(1.7 m)를 기준으로 열, 일산화탄소 및 가시거리를 비교하였다. 수치해석 결과 급기팬 작동은 연기를 교란시키고 확산시킬 수 있으며, 또한 승강장 및 터널 제연모드로 작동할 경우 승강장의 제연모드로만 작동한 경우에 비하여 연기 배출에 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 지하철은 다른 구조물과 비교하여 화재발생 시 화재진압 및 인명구조에 본질적으로 취약한 구조적 특성을 내포하고 있다. 국내의 경우, 지하철 승강장 제연설비는 전용설비로 구축되어 있지 않고 화재발생 시 승강장환기설비 및 본선터널부의 환기설비를 제연모드로 절환하여 운영되고 있다. 제연효과는 이러한 까닭으로 환기설비의 위치, 용량 및 급배기방식에 종속된다. 본 연구에서는 지하철 승강장에서 열차 화재 발생 시, 승객의 안전한 대피로 확보가 가능한 선로부 환기기의 제연운전 효과의 실효성에 대한 검증을 목표로 한다. 따라서 지하승강장을 대상으로 승강장 내 기류해석 및 3차원 화재시뮬레이션을 수행하여 열차화재에 따른 승강장내 열 및 물질이동특성해석으로부터 선로부 배연운전모드에 따른 특성을 규명함으로서 승객안전성 확보에 목표를 둔다.

도로터널 환기/제연 시스템 시뮬레이션 (A NUMERICAL STUDY OF THE VENTILATION AND FIRE SIMULATION IN A ROAD TUNNEL)

  • In designing a ventilation system of a road tunnel, a possibility of using the system as a smoke control system in case of a tunnel fire has to be considered. In the present study, a numerical simulation on ventilation system is performed considering jet fan operations and moving traffic. A fire-mode operation by reversing some fan operations in case of a tunnel fire is also simulated. The results show that ventilation operation can control the pollutants effectively, and fire-mode operation can control smoke and temperature effectively to prevent a disaster.

  • 역사에서 발생된 화재의 영향을 평가하기 위하여 수치해석을 수행하는데 중요한 입력자료 중에 하나인 유속경계조건을 실험적으로 계측하였다. 실험은 지하 승강장의 환기시스템의 운전 모드(일반 냉방조건과 화재발생시 비상조건)에 대하여 수행되었는데, 운전 모드별로 승강장의 여러 위치에서 유속을 측정하였으며, 승강장의 급배기구의 배연용량 및 급기량을 급배기구에서 직접 측정하였다. 또한 화재영향을 해석하기 위한 수치해석 프로그램을 이용하여 평상시 운전모드의 실험값을 기반으로 화재가 발생하지 않은 경우의 유동장 해석을 수행하여 그 결과와 계측 값을 비교하였다.

  • 최근들어 장대터널이 증가하여 환기시스템의 환기기 용량이 증대하게 되면서 환기방식이 다양화 되어 환기기 운전동력등 터널준공 후 유지관리의 중요성이 부각되게 되었다. 따라서 환기기 운전단계나 환기기 운전모드에 대한 연구의 필요성이 증대하여 본 연구에서는 기 개발된 일교통량의 변화 및 환기기 가동상태에 따라 비정상상태로 터널 환기를 해석할 수 있는 동적 시뮬레이션 프로그램에 의해서 집진기 방식과 수직갱방식에 대한 운전동력을 평가하여 최적운전 모드를 제안하였다.
