Novel food sources have enormous potential as nutritional supplements. For instance, edible insects are considered as an alternative food source due to their higher protein content; moreover, they are economically efficient reproducers and have high in nutritional value. In this study, we investigated the toxicity of the freeze-dried powder of Locusta migratoria (fdLM), known to contain rich proteins as well as fatty acids. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the subacute toxicity of fdLM in male and female Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. The SD rats were divided into four groups based on the dosage of fdLM administered: dosage of 0 (vehicle control), 750, 1,500, and 3,000 mg/kg/day were administered for 28 days. Toxicological assessments including observations on food consumption, body and organ weights, clinical signs, mortality, ophthalmologic tests, urinalyses, hematologic tests, clinical chemistry tests, gross findings, and histopathology tests were performed. Clinical signs, urinalyses, hematology, serum biochemistry tests, and organ weight examinations revealed no fdLM-related toxicity. The no-observed-adverse-effect level for fdLM was higher than 3,000 mg/kg/day in rats of both sexes; therefore, fdLM, in conclusion, can be considered safe as an edible alternative human and animal food source material.

Due to high imperviousness rates of the roads, various pollutants originated from vehicle activities and air depositions are accumulated on the road surfaces. The washed-off pollutants can deteriorate the water quality and destroy the aqua-ecosystems with their toxicity. Usually the roads are paved with asphalt and concrete, which can affect on the pollutant concentrations with different frictional forces. Therefore, this research is performed to evaluate the influences of different pavement type on discharged concentrations of pollutant. The results shows the first flush phenomenon was occurred on both pavement types. However, peak concentrations are higher in concrete pavement areas than asphalt pavement because concrete pavement has high contact area with vehicles. The EMCs(Event Mean Concentration) also shows high values in concrete paved roads. As a result of this research, it can be concluded the pavement type is also one of the important affecting factors on pollutant emissions from the roads.

Although many studies have been performed for the structural details of orthotropic steel deck, most of them were focused on the trough rib of standard type, but not for orthotropic steel deck with longitudinal rib of open section used at beginning of the deck. In order to investigate the cause of fatigue crack for orthotropic steel deck bridge serviced 31 years with longitudinal rib of open section, in this study, the behavior characteristics of target structural details were analyzed based on measurement data under real traffic condition. Also the typical loading truck passing the target bridges was estimated with the structural analysis detailed, and the stresses and deformation patterns of target structural details were analyzed by performing the detailed structural analysis. Based upon the analysis, retrofitting methods of the fatigue crack were suggested and its validation was examined. From this study, it was clarified that fatigue crack of longitudinal rib with open section were affected with the stress increment by shear deformation in the rib and the occurrence of alternative stress due to moving vehicle. In addition, it was known that it is important to perform fatigue design reflected the local behavior of the structural details.

Hwanggumgung (HGG) is a hair-care product which is composed of several plant extracts used in oriental medicine. This study was carried out to investigate effect of HGG on hair regrowth in a shaving model of C57BL6 mice. Five-week-old mice were acclimated for 1 week under 23$\pm$3$^{\circ}C$, 50$\pm10\%$ relative humidity and 12 h of a light/dark cycle before beginning experiment. There were four experimental groups including distilled water (D.W., control), 10$\%$ ethanol (EtOH, vehicle control), a positive control of 3$\%$ minoxidil (MXD), and HGG for female and male mice, respectively; Six-weeks old mice were trimmed by electric clippers so as not to damage the skin. The next day; mice without visible scraches were selected, randomized and separated in groups of 11 mice. The test compounds were topically treated with 0.15ml per mouse per day for 21 days. The hair regrowth was photographically and histologically determined during the experimental period of 21 days. Enzyme activities of $\gamma$-glutamyl transpeptidase and alkaline phosphatase were also determined using a rate assay method. There were no clinical signs in all experimental groups. The topical application of 3$\%$ MXD and HGG in female mice promoted hair regrowth earlier and faster than the control groups. In male mice, the topical application of 3$\%$ MXD and HGG also accelerated hair growth compared with the controls. Ten percent ethanol also promoted hair growth faster than D.W group. The histology of hair growth in experimental groups was strongly associated with the hair regrowth. 3$\%$ MXD and HGG promoted elongation of hair follicles compared with the controls in both female and male mice. Activities of alkaline phosphatase and $\gamma$-glutamyl transpeptidase, enzymes related to hair growth, significantly increased after treatments of 3$\%$ MXD and HGG for 2 weeks in both female and male mice (p < 0.05). These results suggest that HGG has hair growth promoting activities and it can be for treatment for alopecia.

SB-31 which contains Pursatilla, Licoris and Ginseng extracts was recently proved as an anticancer agent. In a preclinical effort to be applied this drug to human, pharmacokinetics of SB-31 was carried out in rats and rabbits. Glycyrrhizin(GZ), a saponin of Licoris was used as a standard ingradient for the pharmacokinetics of SB-31. The rat's blood, bile and urine samples were serially collected in femoral vein, common bile duct and bladder, respectively, after bolus i.v. injection at a dose of 1 or 1/5 ampul/rat and rabbit's blood samples from the marginal ear vein at a dose of 1 or 3 amp./rabbit. GZ and glycyrrhetic acid(GA), a major metabolite of GZ in the physiological samples were analysed by HPLC with UV detection. The decline of GZ in plasma concentration was generally biexponential at each dose. GZ was almost completely recovered in bile within 18 hour. GA wasn't detected in the samples with UV detector. In the rat, Vss and Kel at a dose of 1 and 1/5 ampul of SB-31 were $98.06\pm6.07\;ml,\;0.33\pm0.05\;hr^{-1}\;and\;65.46\pm11.19\;ml,\;0.68\pm0.25\;hr^{-1}$, respectively. Those in rabbits at a dose of 3 and 1 ampul of SB-31 were $235.24\pm30.72\;ml,\;0.13\pm0.36\;hr^{-1}\;and\;341.32\pm28.58\;ml,\;0.27\pm0.04\;hr^{-1}$, respectively. 'WinNonlin' was utilized for the compartmental analysis. A two-compartment model was chosen as the most appropriate pbarmaco-kinetic model. The data were best described by using a weighting factor of $1/y^2$. To evaluate the effect of SB-31 on cardiovascular system, serially diluted SB-31 was directly injected into coronary artery in the isolated perfused rat heart and the effect of PSF, PSH, saponins of Pursatilla, and SB-31 on PT, APTT of healthy human plasma was examined. Except the positive inotropic effect of ten times diluted solution of SB-31, there was no significant effect on LVDP, (- dp/dt)/(+dp/dt), heart rate and coronary flow in comparision with that of vehicle. SB-31 had no effect on PT but slightly delayed APTT about $6.9{\sim}11.5\%$. There was no significant effect of PSF and PSH on PT & APTT. Conclusively, SB-31 did not show any notable toxic effects on cardiovascular system.
The purpose of the present study was to examine the role of peripheral nitric oxide (NO) pathways in the onset of interleukin (IL)-1$\beta$-induced mechanical allodynia in the orofacial area. Experiments were carried out on male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 230-280 gm and surgical procedures were performed under pentobarbital sodium (40 mg/kg, i.p.). Under anesthesia, a polyethylene tube (PE10) was implanted into the subcutaneous area of one vibrissa pad, which enabled the injection of IL-1$\beta$ or other chemicals. We subcutaneously injected 50 ${\mu}L$ of IL-1$\beta$ into a vibrissa pad through the implanted polyethylene tube with a 100 ${\mu}L$ Hamilton syringe. After the administration of 0.01, 0.1, 1, or 10 pg of IL-1$\beta$, withdrawal behavioral responses were examined. The subcutaneous injection of saline had no effects on the air-puff thresholds. Following the subcutaneous injection of 0.01, 0.1, 1, or 10 pg of IL-1$\beta$, the threshold of air puffs decreased significantly to 12 $\pm$ 3, 7 $\pm$ 2, 5 $\pm$ 1, or 5 $\pm$ 1 psi, respectively, in a dose dependent manner. Pretreatment with L-NAME, a nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, blocked IL-1$\beta$-induced mechanical allodynia. However, neither D-NAME, an inactive isomer of L-NAME, nor vehicle affected the IL-1$\beta$-induced mechanical allodynia. Subcutaneous injection of IL-1$\beta$ increased the number of c-fos-like immunoreactive neurons, whereas pretreatment with L-NAME decreased this number, in the trigeminal caudal nucleus. These results suggest that pro-inflammatory cytokines and NO are important contributors to the pathogenesis of persistent and exaggerated IL-1$\beta$-induced pain states. Based on these observations, peripheral application of NOS inhibitors may be of therapeutic value in treating pain disorders in the clinic.
The MOLIT is also establishing the flight safety standards for UAV within the current Aviation Law. Accordingly the required flight criteria includes operator location, mission operation limit, equipment, etc. which are the principle and standard applied based on the airspace use for UAV. Also, general flight rules, visual flight rules, instrument flight rules are required to be applied to the actual flight. Besides, an appliance regulation needs to be arranged regarding two-way communication, ATC and communication issue, airspace and area in-flight between UAS(Unmanned Aircraft System) users. An operation of the UAV in the air significantly requires the guarantee of the aircraft's capacity, and also the standardized flight criteria. A safe and smooth use is ensured only if this criteria is applied and understood by the entire airspace users. For the purpose, a standardized military UAV flight operations criteria and a law complementary scheme.
In this work, finite element investigations were carried out to optimize reverse drawing process design for manufacture of high-capacity aluminum liner used in fuel cell vehicle. The tensile tests with aluminum alloy Al6061 annealed at $350^{\circ}C$ were carried out to obtain the flow stresses. In order to estimate more accurate flow stresses after necking, the flow stresses were estimated from the comparison of load vs. displacement curves which were obtained from experimental and simulation results of tensile tests. In case of finite element analyses of reverse drawing processes, it was focused on the effects of process designs such as punch and die designs, blank holding force, drawing ratio and the clearance between the punch and blank holder on the generation of wrinkle and fracture of the blank and partially heated punch. However, it was revealed that experimental results still show the fracture at the end of 2nd drawn cup, although partially heated punch is used. Nevertheless, the drawn cup can be used because the sufficient length of the drawn cup for the next flow forming process and spinning process was obtained.

This paper is a purpose to study the failure examples for a large bus vehicle fire. The first example, the researcher certified the fact that the absorbing material break away from the upper side of engine room because of weaken durability and the fire was produced in engine. The second example, it sought the fact that the fire breaks out by electric short because of over-load of compressor. The third example, it found the fact that the fire took place by heating of bellows upper part that was connected with muffler and exhaust manifold. The fourth example, it knew the fact that the fire occurred because of the electric short inside junction box of crash body part that was located to driver seat rightside. Therefore, the fire of a large bus occurring by decrepit of absorbing material and electric short have to thoroughgoingly manage the damage and dangerousness if it happens.
With recent dispersion of sharing economy, consumption culture of sharing, instead of ownership, gets wide spread in the age groups of 20-30. Even though the market of car sharing expands rapidly, little research has been done in the area of service quality and consumer behavior regarding car sharing services. Given that future market potential gets larger, it seems highly meaningful to conduct research on customer satisfaction and their usage behavior regarding car sharing services. This paper intends to analyze main factors affecting overall customer satisfaction on car sharing services; satisfaction on service quality, satisfaction on service product, and satisfaction on service experience. Each dimension of the three factors is also analyzed to see if there is any differences between major three brands. Further analysis has been done for checking any effects of gender and usage purpose of customers on the overall customer satisfaction. Key results of the analysis show all the three main factors have significant effect on overall customer satisfaction. Each dimension of service quality has significant effect on satisfaction on service quality. Dimensions of parking lot accessability and vehicle maintenance in service product evaluation, have greater effect on satisfaction on service product. In service experience, positive affect have greater effect than negative affect on satisfaction on service experience. Women users perceive larger overall customer satisfaction on car sharing services than men users. On the types of usage purpose, Users with purpose of tour and dating/meeing friends perceive larger overall customer satisfaction on car sharing services than user without it. Further managerial implications of car sharing services are also provided.
