An expansion device plays an important role in optimizing the heat pumps by controlling refrigerant flow and balancing the system pressures. Conventional expansion devices are being gradually replaced with electronic expansion valves due to increasing focus on comfort, energy conservation, and application of a variable speed compressor. In addition, the amount of refrigerant charge in a heat pump is another primary parameter influencing system performance. In this study, the flow characteristics of the expansion devices are analyzed, and the effects of refrigerant charge amount on the performance of the heat pump are investigated at various operating conditions. Cooling capacity of the heat pump system is strongly dependent on load conditions. The heat pump system is very sensitive with a variation of refrigerant charge amount. But, the performance of it can be optimized by adjusting the flow rate through expansion device to maintain a constant superheat at all test conditions.

Anthracite exports have special value within the DPRK's economy. In this paper, we focus on what determines the DPRK's anthracite exports to China. We use panel data consisting of cross-section data from 30 provinces in China and quarterly time-series data from 1998 to 2013. Controlling for all other variables that affect anthracite imports, the variable for steel production in China is robust and statistically significant. This is consistent with on-site interviews which indicate that much of North Korean anthracite is consumed by China's steel industry. This implies that the North Korean authorities need to make adjustments to the foreign trade structure, as the import demand for anthracite in China may decline further.

We present the experimental study to realize a DNA separation chip using asymmetrically-switched nonuniform electric fields. The DNA separation chip redistributes DNA molecules within a specific area based on the size- and field-dependent nonlinearity of DNA drift velocity. The present chip is composed of a width variable channel to distribute nonuniform electric field, a DNA loading slit and a pair of electrodes to apply electric field. We focus on the design of DNA separation chips with identifying the nonlinearity of DNA drift velocity using three different DNA molecules (11.1kbp, 15.6kbp, and 48.5kbp) in the chips. It is demonstrated that different size of DNA shows different net migration in different direction under the asymmetrically-switched nonuniform electric field.

This research focused on the comparison of corporate business mokels to explain different financial performances on the eBusiness domain. Especially, because customers have the more buying [ower tha other business areas, customer value and the service quality were prepared for independent variables and operational margin which can be obtained by publicize report was used for a dependent variable in stead of the other variables dependent on human perception as well. As a result, this research found that the customer value measured by service quality concept impact on the financial performance of eBusiness corporation positively. To find out more delicate results, structural equation was used for statistical method using 324 survey samples on 10 corporations. Though data using for statistical analysis were divided into individual and corporate level and have the time gap between research time and financial performance publicized period, the value of this research is that the customer value and service quality concepts with very objective financial information were input for constructing a research model.

As database become more variable and multimedia, the integration between conventional library based on printed matter and digital library on IT makes it accelerated that the changes in today's information circumstances. Due to more leisure time modern people who get intellectual and interested in variety so they need continuing education, intellectual satisfaction and cultural life. Consequently today's public library expands to become a source of every kind of information, an educational facility and community facility to fulfill the cultural needs. On the assumption above, this study aims at offering database for planning public library that meets the needs for multifunctional library through analyzing space, structure, and character of modern public libraries and chooses 8 cases in Japan provide both primary and additional functions. Quantitative data from blueprints, websites and publications has been collected to analyze the space arrangement corresponding with the functional characteristics.

점확산 함수(point spread function; PSF)의 정확한 추정은 복원결과가 원 영상에 얼마나 근접할 수 있는가를 결정한다는 점에서 영상처리의 중요한 연구 주제중의 하나가 된다. 본 논문에서는 PSF를 추정하기 위한 알고리즘을 제안하고, 이를 영상복원에 적용한 후 이를 기반으로 디지털 자동초점시스템을 제안한다. 초점불안전 열화시스템을 구현하기 위한 과정은 두 단계로 구성되어 있는데, 즉 입력 영상에서 에지분류를 통한 PSF 추정과, 이를 이용한 영상복원이다. 보다 구체적으로, 입력 영상에 특정 에지가 있는 임의의 크기의 블록을 선정해부면, 그 블록으로부터 자동으로 에지방향이 기저영상을 이용해서 구해지며 확산원의 크기를 추정하여 1차원 단위 계단응답과 영역을 구하여 평균한 후, 2차원 등방성 PSF를 추정한다. 마지막으로 추정된 PSF를 사용하여 복원을 수행함으로써 초점이 맞는 영상을 구한다.

In this research, the Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) was applied to measure production efficiency of Public Corporation Medical Centers(PCMCs) operating in Korea. The focus of this research is triple. First, identifing convenience and usefulness of DEA to measure the relative efficiency among PCMCs. Second, assessing magnitudes of the relative efficiency for each PCMC. Third, adding insights into some factors resulting inefficiency in PCMCs. Then, in this paper technical efficiency and scale efficiency measured by DEA[introduced by Charnes, Cooper, and Rhoides(1978) and Banker, Charnes, and Cooper(1984)] were analyzed and a new separate variable was introduced which makes it possible to determine whether operations were conducted in regions of increasing, constant or decresing returns to scale(in multiple input and output situations). And a multi-factor Tobit analysis was conducted to see which variables are associated with PCMC's efficiency.

For opening and shutting function, door has some hardware such as hinges and the locks. The folding mechanism of hinges represent mobility, and the lock means stability. The opening and shutting door-the mobility-could be interpreted the movement from flat state to three-dimensional structure. The folding mechanism also would be understood variable feature to the space. This study focus on the Folding Furniture which adapted the good point of hinges to make efficient use of the space. The folding furniture presented in this study has not only artistic meaning which expand and apply structural function of hinges, but also flexible reanalysis on the environment and the space which change with social, economic and cultural trend.

The goal of this study was to contemplate the impact of visual formative elements on the satisfaction level of visitors in websites of toy-style products. To attain the goal, the visual element of motion graphics in websites of toy-style products, i. e., color, layout, illustration, and, typography, were independent variables and the satisfaction level of visitors as a dependent variable. The variables were analyzed objectively. First, it appeared that visual formative elements of motion graphics appeared in websites of toy-style products exerted statistically significant impacts on the satisfaction level of visitors. Second, the element exerting the most significant impact on the satisfaction level of visitors among the visual formative elements in websites of toy-style products were appeared as 'illustration' and 'color'. Thus, it was concluded that it is necessary to give priority in 'illustration' and 'color' to enhance the satisfaction level of visitors.

This study is focus on consumer innovativeness. The purpose of this study is to explore variable that affect users' perceived value of mobile advertising and actual response intension to analyze relationship among variables. We built research new model based on the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) and the Ducoffe's model(1996). The result of this study can be summarized as below. First, consumer innovativeness had a positive effect on convenience, the entertaining element and informativeness. Second, credibility and convenience had a positive effect on mobile advertising value. Third, Mobile advertising value had a positive effect on actual response intention to mobile advertising. As shown in the result of this study, the relation between perceived value of mobile advertising and actual response intention, depending on innovativeness in accordance with mobile advertising characters elements.
