  • The importance of variable displacement piston pump is recently increasing in industrial applications, as it is widely used for raising the energy level of the fluid in hydraulic system. The regulator is the device that controls the pump output flow depending on the machine load and engine speed, and that regulates the discharge flow of the piston pump by controlling the swivel angel. This work deals with constant power control of a regulator system in bent-axis type piston pump. In order to use engine power effectively, it is important to keep the horsepower from the engine to the pump constant. Therefore, optimum power usage is obtained by accurately following the power hyperbola. First, the governing equations of the regulator are derived, and analysis is performed by numerical simulation in which significant parameters of regulator are identified. Also, we designed and manufactured the prototype of the constant power control regulator for experiments. The experimental results show the responsibility and pressure-flowrate characteristics and these are compared with the theoretical analysis. As the result, it is confirmed that the characteristics of the designed regulator correspond to the numerical simulation.

사판식 피스톤 펌프 흡입구의 유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristics of a Swash-Plate Piston-Pump Inlet)

  • In this study, a cavitation occurrence in a piston-pump inlet was investigated by simulating the pressure distribution, according to the inlet shape of a variable-displacement swash-plate piston pump that supplies high-pressure oil to control the hydraulic system of a marine engine. Two types of pump inlets with different shapes were cast into impression models, and the models were reverse-engineered by 3D scanning. Then, the hydraulic-pressure distribution was analyzed through finite-element analysis. The results of the analysis confirmed that cavitation occurs more easily in the inlet with a steeper slope during pump operation because the inlet pressure on the valve plate is lower than that of the other pump with a gentler inlet slope.

하이브리드 굴삭기 연비 개선 연구 (Improving Fuel Efficiency of a Hybrid Excavator)

  • 환경 문제 및 화석연료 고갈에 대한 관심으로 인하여 배기가스에 대한 규제는 나날이 엄격해지고 있으며 높은 연비에 대한 수요는 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 시대적 요구를 뒷받침하기 위하여 저배기-고연비가 특징인 하이브리드 굴삭기가 현실적인 대안으로서 각광받고 있으며 지속적으로 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 선회 구동 전동기, 엔진보조 전동기, 울트라 캐패시터, 전력변환장치를 중형 굴삭기에 탑재한 복합형 하이브리드 굴삭기를 개발하였으며, 일반적인 복합형 하이브리드 굴삭기의 연비개선요소(선회 구동 에너지 회생, 엔진 작동 속도 변경)외에 추가적으로 적용된 연비개선 방법론들에 대하여 다루고 있다. 본 방법론들을 적용함으로써 연비와 운전 조작성을 동시에 개선할 수 있었다.
