  • We calculated Al-Absorption, Al-reflection, and Si-etching probabilities as a function of incident angle and energy using classical molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. Variations of the cases of Al-absorption rate and Al-reflection rate are less than that of Si-etching rate. In contrast with general prediction, our simulation results showed that channeling of the <110> direction occurred the most in the case of incident angle between 30degree and 40degree. We investigated that channeling of the <110> directions quite affect Al-absorption rate in silicon. Since Si-etching rate is high and Al-absorption rate by <110> channeling is high, we found that Al ionized physical vapor deposition (PVD) on Si(001) has a different characteristics with Al ionized PVD on A1(111).

흡수성능에 미치는 수직 액막 파동의 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Wavy Flow of Vertical Falling Film on the Absorption Performance)

  • In the present study, the improvement of absorption characteristics on combined heat and mass transfer process in a falling film of a vertical absorber by change of geometric parameters were studied experimentally and analytically. The energy and diffusion equations are solved simultaneously to give the temperature and concentration variations at the liquid solution-refrigerant vapor interface and at the wall. Absorption behaviors of heat and mass transfer were analyzed through falling film of the LiBr aqueous solution contacted by refrigerant vapor in the absorber. Effects of film Reynolds number, geometric parameters by insert device (spring) and flow pattern on heat and mass transfer performances have been also investigated. Especially, effects of the flow pattern by geometric parameters have been considered to observe the total heat and mass transfer rates through falling film along the absorber. As a numerical and experimental result, maximum absorption rate was shown at the wave-flow by insert device (spring). The error ranges between experiment and analysis were from 5.8 to 12% at Re$_{f}$ > 100.0.

GK-2A/AMI와 융합을 통한 GOCI-II 해색 산출물 정확도 개선 가능성 (GOCI-II Capability of Improving the Accuracy of Ocean Color Products through Fusion with GK-2A/AMI)

  • 연안 및 대양의 효과적인 모니터링을 위해 여러 연구 분야에서 고품질의 위성 기반 해색 산출물들이 요구 있으며 이를 위해서는 정확한 대기 효과의 보정이 필수적이다. 현재 Geostationary Ocean ColorImage (GOCI)-II 지상시스템에서는 수증기 및 오존 등에 의한 가스 흡광 보정을 수행하기 위해 European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) 또는 National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) 기상장 자료를 사용하고 있다. 이 과정에서 기상장 자료의 낮은 시공간해상도로 인해 오차가 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 복사 전달 모델 모의를 통해 개발된 GOCI-II의 수증기 흡광 보정 모델 및 GeoKompsat (GK)-2A/Advanced Meteorological Imager (AMI)의 가강수량 자료를 이용하여 수증기 흡광 효과를 보정하고 이에 따른 영향력을 분석하였다. 개발된 수증기 흡광 보정 모델 적용 유무에 따른 오차는 수증기의 영향이 적은 620 nm와 680 nm의 대기 상한 반사도에서 최대 1.3%와 0.27%로 적은 오차를 보였다. 그러나 수증기 흡광의 경향이 큰 709 nm 채널의 경우 태양 천정각 및 가강수량에 따라 6~15%의 큰 오차를 나타냈다. 레일리 보정 반사도에서는 대기 상한 반사도에서 발생한 오차가 크게 증폭되어 태양 천정각에 따라 GOCI-II의 각 밴드(620~865 nm) 별로 1.46~4.98, 7.53~19.53, 0.25~0.64, 14.74~40.5, 8.2~18.56, 5.7~11.9%의 큰 오차를 보이고 있다. 이는 수증기 흡광 보정이 해색 산출물의 정확도와 안정성에 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 것을 의미하며, 향후 시공간 해상도가 높은 GK-2A/AMI와의 융합을 통해 GOCI-II 해색 산출물의 정확도 향상이 가능함을 시사한다.

  • A model of simultaneous heat and mass transfer process in absorption of refrigerant vapor into a lithium bromide solution of water-cooled vertical plate absorber was developed. The model can predict temperature and concentration profiles as well as the absorption heat and mass fluxes, the total heat and mass transfer rates and the heat and mass transfer coefficients. Besides, the effect of operating condition on absorption mass flux has been investigated, with the result that the absorption mass flux is increased as the inlet cooling water temperature decreases, the system pressure increases and the inlet solution concentration increases. And among the effects of operating parameters on absorption mass flux, the effect of inlet solution concentration is dominant.

한지(韓紙)가 실내습도조절에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Study on a Effect of Korean Paper (Hanji) on Indoor Humidity Control)

  • The purpose of this study is to reevaluate the performance of Hanji as an architectural material. Hanji has good things in controlling indoor space comfortably. Particularly, ability of controlling humidity of Hanji affects indoor space comfort and human health. The major focuses of this experimental research are (1) how much of water vapor passes through Hanji, (2) how much of water vapor is absorbed into Hanji. In the first case, indoor humidity is higher than outdoor humidity. In this case, approximately 38 g of water vapor passes through Hanji 1, genarally utilized in window paper (Changhoji), per square meter in one hour. And approximately 4 g of water vapor is absorbed into Hanji 2, genarally utilized in wallpaper, per square meter. In the second case, outdoor humidity is higher than indoor humidity. In this case, Hanji passes water vapor to inner space at first, but when indoor relative humidity reach approximately 66%, although outdoor humidity is higher than indoor humidity, water vapor doesn't pass through Hanji. If Hanji is utilized in window material and wallpaper, indoor space is maintained comfortably without mechanical devices in humidity control.

LiBr/$H_2O$계 흉수기의 흡수촉진에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental investigation of enhanced heat and mass transfer toy LiBr/$H_2O$ absorber)

  • An experimental study of the absorption process of water vapor into Lithium Bromide solution was performed. For the purpose of development of high performance absorption chiller-heater utilizing Lithium Bromide solution as working fluid, the absorber is the most effective to improve the performance of an absorber because it requires the largest heat transfer area in an absorption chiller-heater system. This paper introduces bare tube and floral tube for the absorber of absorption chiller-heaters. floral tube has higher heat and mass transfer performance than bare tube conventionally used in absorbers and the it is expected to perform high heat and mass transfer. This paper will provide important information on the selection of absorber tubes in commercial absorption chiller -heaters.

Catalytic effect of metal oxides on CO2 absorption in an aqueous potassium salt of lysine

  • We report the catalytic effects of metal oxides on the $CO_2$ absorption rate in an aqueous potassium salt of ${\text\tiny{L}}-lysine-HCl$ using the vapor liquid equilibrium method. The best $CO_2$ absorption rate obtained through testing metal oxides in a highly concentrated potassium salt of amino acids (2.0 M) was identified using CuO. The recyclability of the metal oxides was tested over three cycles. The catalyst CuO was found to enhance the absorption rate of $CO_2$ by 61%. A possible mechanism was proposed based on NMR spectroscopy studies. Further, the effect of change in liquid absorbent viscosity on $CO_2$ absorption is discussed.
