대용량 비례 유량제어밸브 동특성 분석 (Dynamic Characteristics of Proportional Flow Control Valve with Large Capacity)

  • Electromagnetic control valves have been used for almost 20 years. As the solenoid modulating technology advances, its applications are extending to various industrial fields such as nuclear and fossil fuel power plants, chemical plants and refineries. Proportional solenoid valve for large flow control is designed with two-stage configuration to meet the required actuating force on the main disc and its position is stabilized by the self-controlled system. In this research, main disc dynamics is analyzed with linearized system model which is derived from the mathematical equations describing its nonlinear behavior. Major design parameters of the valve control system that affect the response and stability are also studied with root locus method. The linear dynamic analysis results are verified with simulations in time-domain.

  • This paper presents design.dynamic modeling and control issues of a novel type of an ER valve-cylinder system incorporating with an electro-rheological(ER) fluid. The yield stress of the ER fluid to be employed to the proposed system is evaluated as a function of applied electric fields. The design and manufacturing process of the ER valve which features fast system response and simple mechanism are undertaken on the basis of model parameters. The governing equation for the hydraulic and pneumatic model is constructed by incorporation with the field-dependent Bingham behavior of the ER fluid. An effective neuro controller is proposed to realize an accurate position control.

  • This paper achieved dynamic characteristics with test to use solenoid valve for flight model that have present. Designed pressure control virtual system which PWM solenoid valve to use test result. Examination compared solenoid valve dynamic characteristics in atmosphere and cryogenic fluid and presented technique and valuation method that measured upstream and down stream pressure of solenoid valve, as well as, temperature, excitation voltage etc. These test results could confirm solenoid valve response time and maximum using frequency characteristic at use in atmosphere and cryogenic temperature and this derived design variables pressure control system from those bases.

보조 동력 장치 연료 공급용 서보밸브의 유동 특성 해석 (Flow Characteristics of the Servo Valve in the Fuel Supply System of APU)

  • In this paper, the authors benchmark a servo valve model for the fuel supply system of Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) in the KHP helicopter. This valve is directly driven with a torque motor, and the size of small gap controlled by a flapper can make change of flow rate under given pressure drop between inlet and outlet. CFD analyses using a commercial code, ANSYS-CFX 10 are performed for the series of three-dimensional models at various openness conditions. The computational results on simplified models show that CFD can play a fine roll in the design of flow path as well as in the estimation of flow force due to its precision and good repeatability. Consequently, the CFD analysis helps valve designers to understand its flow characteristics from the basis of physical fundamentals.

  • 최근 강화된 환경규제 및 높은 연비에 대한 요구로 인해 천연가스를 연료로 사용하는 선박이 증가하고 있다. 친환경 선박 연료로 대두되고 있는 LPG 혹은 메탄올을 사용한 선박의 요구도 증가하고 있다. 이러한 흐름의 연장선상으로 LPG 혹은 메탄올을 사용하는 ME-LGI 엔진에 대한 연구가 최근 활발히 이루어지고 있다. ME-LGI 엔진을 탑재한 선박은, 선박 항해 중 연료분사밸브의 작동 신뢰도를 지속적인 테스트를 통해 확인해야할 필요가 있다. 따라서 연료분사밸브 테스터의 개발은 ME-LGI 엔진의 상용화를 위해 반드시 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 요구조건 분석, 기능분석, 설계 합성의 순서로 진행되는 시스템 엔지니어링 프로세스를 활용하여 ME-LGI 엔진용 연료분사밸브 테스터의 개념설계를 수행하였다. 요구조건 분석 단계에서 먼저 연료분사밸브의 작동 프로세스를 분석하였고, 밀폐 오일 누유 여부 확인의 필요성을 도출하였다. 그 다음 기능분석 단계에서 연료분사밸브 테스터의 기능 및 기능의 흐름을 수준별로 정의하였다. 이후 설계 합성 단계에서 각 기능에 해당하는 장비들을 설정하였고, 이를 바탕으로 process block diagram을 도출하였다. 또한 시스템 분석 및 조정 단계의 일환으로 초기위험도 분석을 수행하여 안전 방안을 개념설계 안에 추가하였다. 본 연구는 시스템 엔지니어링 프로세스가 개념설계에 적용되는 과정을 상세히 보여줌으로써 향후 타 시스템의 개념 설계 시 좋은 참고자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

CONTROL PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT OF AN EMV SYSTEM USING A PM/EM HYBRID ACTUATOR

  • In this study, we improved control performance of an EMV (electromechanical valve) system using a PM/EM (permanent magnet/electromagnet) hybrid EMA (electromagnetic actuator) and showed the feasibilities of both soft landing and fast transition of the EMV system using a simple PID control. The conventional EMV systems using only EM show significant nonlinear characteristics. Therefore, it is very difficult to control the valve position and several complex control schemes are used. This paper focused on the control performance improvement using a PM/EM hybrid actuator. In particular, a PM is used as a key design parameter such as a bias current of a magnetic bearing in order to improve the linear characteristic of the actuator, although most PM/EM hybrid actuators use a PM as a power saver during valve-open and -closed states. First, a FE (finite element) analysis was performed to confirm its linear static force characteristics. Then, both a test rig and a valve control system were built in order to prove experimentally the control performance improvement of the actuator. Finally, feasibilities of both soft landing and fast transition of the system were shown experimentally through gain-scheduled PID (proportional derivative integral) control.

  • As the technologies of electronic device have advanced these days, most of mechanical systems are designed with electronic control unit to take advantage of control parameter adaption to operating conditions and firmware flexibilities as well. On-board diagnosis, which detects the system malfunction and identifies potential source of error with its own diagnostic criteria, and fail-safe that can switch the mode of operation in view of recognized error characteristics enables easy maintenance and troubleshooting as well as system protection. This paper dealt with the development of diagnosis and fail-safe function for proportional flow control valve. All type of errors related to valve control system components are investigated and assigned to a specific hexadecimal codes. Cumulative error detection algorithm is applied in order for the sensitivity and reliability to be appropriate. Embedded simulator which runs simultaneously with system program provides the virtual error simulation environment for expeditious development of error detection algorithm. The diagnosis function was verified both with solenoid valve and embedded simulator test and it will enhance the valve control system monitoring function.

비례전자 감압밸브의 모델링과 제어 (A Modeling of Proportional Pressure Control Valve and its Control)

  • In this study, a dynamic model of proportional pressure control valve using the bond graph and a predictive controller are presented in the form of dynamic matrix control which is concerned with a design method of digital controller for the electro hydraulic servo system. The bond graph can be utilized for all types of systems which involve power and energy, and it is applied to a propotional pressure control valve in this study. Recently, many researchers suggested that better control performance could be obtained by means of the predictive controls with future reference input, future control output and future control error. The Predictive controller is very practical because the controller can be easily applicable to a personal computer or a microprocessor. This study investigates through numerical simulations that hydraulic system with the predictive controller shows very good control performances.

  • The performance evaluation of AOV(air-operated valve) requires the processes to confirm the actuator system capability. It is necessary to evaluate the thrust of the air actuator for the margin evaluation. In this paper, to evaluate and analysis the air actuator, the performance test system and operating program are developed. This system is composed of several sensors such as pressure sensor, LVDT, and LoadCell which are used to get the data for evaluation. The LabVIEW was used for developing the operating program. The test system and operating program are proved through the actual test of the diaphragm actuator.

밸브 입구 압력 변화에 따른 연소기 산화제 개폐밸브 열림 특성 (Opening Characteristics of a Main Oxidizer Shut-off Valve at Different Valve Inlet Pressures)

  • 밸브 입구 압력 변화에 따른 액체로켓엔진용 연소기 산화제 개폐밸브의 개방 특성에 대해 시험을 통한 연구를 수행하였다. 연소기 산화제 개폐밸브의 포핏 방식 밸브 특성에 의해 밸브 입구 압력이 상승함에 따라 밸브 개방에 필요한 구동압력은 선형적으로 증가하며, 밸브 행정 시간은 감소하게 된다. 하지만 밸브 입구 압력 상승으로 밸브 개방 구동압력 도달까지의 시간이 길어져 전체적인 밸브 개방 시간이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 결국 밸브 입구 압력이 증가할수록 밸브 행정 시간의 감소량은 미미해지며 밸브 개방에 필요한 구동압력에 도달하는데 필요한 시간이 밸브 개방 시간을 좌우한다는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 밸브 구동부에 대한 설계를 통해 밸브 개방 시점의 밸브 입구 압력과 연소기로의 순간적인 산화제 공급량을 조정할 수 있다.
