배관용 재료의 설계시 안전성 평가에 관한 연구(III) (A Study on the Safety Evaluation of Design for Piping Materials(III))

  • For the assessment of fracture behaviors of structural components, various fracture mechanics parameters have been applied to date. New approaches to analyze structural fracture performance under elastic-plastic condition have been proposed by the development of testing methods for characterization of material behavior which is defying to the analysis by conventional fracture parameters. In this study, on the assumption that, initiation of crack propagation of a piping materials occurs when the crack tip strain field reaches "the local fracture strain", following two major issues are discussed ; 1) The relationship between the critical value of J-integral($J_{IC}$) and the local fracture strain (${\varepsilon}_c$) in uniaxial tensile test in the region of maximum reduction area was described. 2) To proved the validity of above relations a series of tests were performed under various temperature and on the different piping materials.materials.

  • Risk assessment is useful tool making good decisions on the risks of certain hazardous com-pound and suggests safe margin through scientific process using toxicological data, statistical tool, exposure value and relevant variants. The goal of risk management is to protect the public health from hazardous compound based on result of risk assessment having reality. For the suggestion of exact man-aging information, risk assessment must be designed to represent a "plausible estimate" of the exposure to the individuals and to minimize uncertainty. Risk assessment methodology and knowledge are expected to change more rapidly than before and up-to-date methodology should be applied in regulatory aspects through the Agency. For the useful application of risk assessment, the communication between the risk assessor and the risk manager is needed before the initiation of the risk assessment and upon its completion. Generally, the risk assessment itself as a practical tool in the regulatory decision making process would be regarded with social economic impact.ic impact.

Planar plastic flow of polymers near very rough walls

  • The main objective of the present paper is to investigate, by means of a boundary value problem permitting a semi-analytic solution, qualitative behaviour of solutions for two pressure-dependent yield criteria used for plastically incompressible polymers. The study mainly focuses on the regime of friction (sticking and sliding). It is shown that the existence of the solution satisfying the regime of sticking depends on other boundary conditions. In particular, there is such a class of boundary conditions depending on the yield criterion adopted that the regime of sliding is required for the existence of the solution independently of the friction law.

  • Introduction : Kim-Young-hun (김영훈), with the pen name of Cheong-Gang (청강), was born in the late 19th century. He led an active life as an eminent Korean traditional medical scholar until the mid-20th century. He opened a Korean traditional medical clinic in the heart of Seoul and kept records of his clinical experiences. Methods : Filing of clinical records: Cheong-Gang's records, at present owned by the College of Oriental Medicine, Kyunghee University (경희대학교 한의과대학), are classified into prescription charts and medical examination charts. In this study, only the medical examination charts were filed. Results : The total number of the medical examination charts from 1915 until 1974 is 393, and the titles are sorted according to date. This paper is the first filing research on the medical examination charts.

  • Using neural network approach, the diagnosis of faults in industrial process that requires observing multiple data simultaneously are studied. Two-stage diagnosis is proposed to analyze system faults. By using neural network, the first stage detects the dynamic trend of each normalized date patterns by comparing a proposed pattern. Instead of using neural network, the difference between stored fault pattern and real time data is used for fault diagnosis in the second stage. This method reduces the amount of calculation and saves storing space. Also, we dealt with unknown faults by normalizing the data and calculating the difference between the value of steady state and the data in case of fault. A model of tank reactor is given to verify that the proposed method is useful and effective to noise.

천측계산의 전산화에 관한 연구(I) (A Study on Computerization of the Sight Reduction(I))

  • This paper concerns computerization of the altitude correction in the sight reduction process. To obtain observed altitude, the factors such as refraction, parallx, semidiameter, phase etc, are corrected to sextant altitude. The factors are the arguments into the nautical almanac table from which are extracted values to add to or substract from the raw sight to obtain corrected value. If the altitude correction is to be done by sophisticated calculator, each factors must be formulated. The author studies the formulation of above factors, and simply from the date and ephemeris time of the sighting calculate the values of the factors. The calculated values are compared with that from nautical almanac, and it is confirmed that the formulae are practically used.

  • In the Supply chain, The ATP(Available to Promise) function doesn't only give customers to conformation of delivery.   • Acoustic intensity is usually estimated by the cross-spectrum of acoustic pressure at two adjacent microphones. The cross-spectrum calculated by digital Fourier transform technique will unavoidally have leakage error since the period of signal will not be usually coincident with record length. Therefore, the acoustic intensity estimated by the conventional FFT analyzer will show distorted value. In this paper, the expression of the Fourier transformed date of a harmonic signal with a single frequency is formated when there is leakage error. The method to elimate the effect of leakage error from the contaminated data is also proposed. Some numerical examples show the validation of the proposed method.

  • For determination the optimum manufacturing condition Fe4N powder for magnetic recording media, we have studied the following important conditions : the effect of particle size of metal powder on the nitridation, the condition of nitridation on the formation and magnetic properties of Fe4N, and stability of Fe4N powder against temperature and change on standing. The results can be summarized as : 1) Single phase Fe4N is formed at 50v/o of ammonia concentration during the nitridation reaction, 2) Single phase Fe4N is formed above 40$0^{\circ}C$, 15min regardless of the metal powder sizes, 3) Coercivity and saturation magnetization of Fe4N powder almost constant value until 20 day-passing from preparation date.
