Vehicle model validation for the static vehicle testing has been done by comparison of the simulation results and test results and the parameters of the vehicle model to be used in the simulation have been adjusted to reflect the measured behaviour. The vehicle model fort the simulation should be validated by suitable tests and/or practical experience. The static vehicle test used to validate the vehicle model are the weight measurement, the wheel offloading test, the bogie rotational resistance test and the sway test. Finally, the computer simulation model has been validated and using the validated vehicle model the acceptance of the vehicle safety of the resistance to flange climbing derailment at low speed can be examined.
The issues associated with the application of CFD for ship design are addressed. Doubtlessly at the moment, CFD tools are very useful in evaluating hull forms prior to traditional towing tank tests. However, time-consuming pre-processing is an obstacle in the daily application of CFD tools to improve hull forms. The accuracy of computational modeling without sacrificing the usability of CFD system is also to be assessed. The wave generation is still predicted by using potential panel methods, while velocity profiles entering into propeller plane is solved using turbulent flow solvers. The choice of turbulence model is a key to predict nominal wake distribution within acceptable accuracy. The experimental data for CFD validation are invaluable to improve physical and numerical modeling. Other applications of CFD for ship design than hull form improvement are also given. It is certain that CFD can be a cost-effective tool for the design of new and better ships.
The purpose of this study was the development and validation of a test of young children's understanding and their ability to represent the elements of traditional Korean music. The test was reviewed by professional groups and modified by preliminary testing. In its final form, the Korean Traditional Music Ability Test(KTMAT) for 4- to 6-year-old children consists of 43 items covering understanding and ability to represent Changdan(Changdanhyung, Bak, Bbareugi and Semyeorim) and Garak(Eumjeong and Sikimshae). Item analysis, reliability and validity tests were statistically significant. The KTMAT is an evaluation tool that can be used as basic material for developing children's musical ability, and it can provide valuable information showing direction for children's Korean traditional music education.

The objective of study on composite cylinder for alternative fuel vehicle is to develop safe, efficient, and commercially viable, on-board fuel storage system for the fuel cell vehicle or natural gas vehicle that use highly compressed gaseous fuel such as hydrogen or natural gas. This study presents the whole procedure of development and certification of a type 3 composite cylinder of 207bar service pressure and 70 liter water capacity, which includes design/analysis, processing of filament winding, and validation through various testing and evaluation. Design methods of liner configuration and winding patterns are presented. Three dimensional, nonlinear finite element analysis techniques are used to predict burst pressure and failure mode. Design and analysis techniques are verified through burst and cycling tests. The full qualification test methods and results for validation and certification are presented.
The Electrical Test Bed(ETB) integrates the test environment, required for acceptance tests of system level, prior to FM testing. The ETB will be used for the validation of system-level functions and interface between each subsystem. The FTB supports early functional and limited performance checkout of electrical subsystems. Therefore, it provides the environment for the verification of the Flight Software including AOCS, EPS, and TC&R simulators. These ETB will be composed of engineering version of spacecraft BUS, which are laid on the laboratory table.
In this paper, we present design features, implementation, and validation of a satellite simulator subsystem for the Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-2 (KOMPSAT-2). The satellite simulator subsystem is implemented on a personal computer to minimize costs and trouble on embedding onboard flight software into the simulator. An object-oriented design methodology is employed to maximize software reusability. Also, instead of a high-cost commercial database, XML is used for the manipulation of spacecraft characteristics data, telecommand, telemetry, and simulation data. The KOMPSAT-2 satellite simulator subsystem is validated by various simulations for autonomous onboard launch and early orbit phase operations, anomaly operation, and science fine mode operation. It is also officially verified by successfully passing various tests such as the satellite simulator subsystem test, mission control element system integration test, interface test, site installation test, and acceptance test.

A triple bubbler sensor was tested in LiCl-KCl molten salt from 450 to 525 ℃ in a transparent furnace to validate thermal-expansion corrections and provide additional molten salt data sets for calibration and validation of the sensor. In addition to these tests, a model was identified and further developed to accurately determine the density, surface tension, and depth from the measured bubble pressures. A unique feature of the model is that calibration constants can be estimated using independent depth measurements, which allow calibration and validation of the sensor in an electrorefiner where the salt density and surface tension are largely unknown. This model and approach were tested using the current and previous triple bubbler data sets, and results indicate that accuracies are as high as 0.03%, 4.6%, and 0.15% for density, surface tension, and depth, respectively.

This paper compares frequency domain and time domain predictions from the ShipMo3D ship motion library with observed motions from model tests and sea trials. ShipMo3D evaluates hull radiation and diffraction forces using the frequency domain Green function for zero forward speed, which is a suitable approach for ships travelling at moderate speed (e.g., Froude numbers up to 0.4). Numerical predictions give generally good agreement with experiments. Frequency domain and linear time domain predictions are almost identical. Evaluation of nonlinear buoyancy and incident wave forces using the instantaneous wetted hull surface gives no improvement in numerical predictions. Consistent prediction of roll motions remains a challenge for seakeeping codes due to the associated viscous effects.
The numerical study focuses on the analysis of the structural behavior of concrete beams containing outdated concrete and offers an innovative method of strengthening them using carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer sheets (CFRP). The focus is on modeling and analyzing the performance of aged concrete beams strengthened by CFRP in the flexural direction. This study presents an ultimate load model for CFRP-strengthened RC beams featuring outdated concrete layers. Validation through four-point bending tests and finite element modeling demonstrated the efficacy of the model. Findings indicate that CFRP sheets significantly enhance beam strength, particularly in structures with outdated concrete layers, resulting in increased ultimate load capacity. Moreover, an inverse relationship between ultimate load and concrete layer height was observed, with the CFS-21-15-30 sample exhibiting the most substantial reduction. Validation of the model was achieved using finite element analysis con-ducted in Abaqus software.
