광선추적법의 속도개선을 위한 ZF-버퍼 알고리즘 연구 (A study on the ZF-buffer algorithm for Ray-tracing Acceleration)

  • 본 논문은 광선추적법의 교차판별을 가속화할 수 있는 ZF-버퍼 방법을 제안한다. ZF-버퍼 방법은 광선추적법의 전처리 단계에서 Z-버퍼 방법을 적용하는데, 화면을 렌더링 하는 대신 화면에 렌더링 될 다각형 자료구조의 포인터를 기록하여 교차판별에 이용하는 방법이다. 결과적으로 해당 화소에서 광선과 교차할 가장 가까운 다각형을 찾아낼 수 있게 된다. ZF-버퍼 방법과 vista-버퍼 방법은 유사하지만 ZF-버퍼방법이 바운딩 볼륨을 사용하지 않고 화면에 나타날 다각형의 자료구조를 결과로 산출한다는 점이 다르다. 본 논문은 실험결과로서 9216개의 다각형으로 구성된 유타 주전자 영상을 사용하였으며 vista-버퍼와 비교하여 평균 3배정도의 속도 개선 효과가 있음을 확인하였으며, 또한 반사/굴절체에도 이 방법의 적용 가능성을 모색하였다.

Treatment of Multiple Gingival Recessions Using Vestibular Incision Subperiosteal Tunnel Access with Platelet-rich Fibrin: Two Cases Reports

  • Treatment of multiple gingival recession defects is usually more challenging than that of single gingival recession. Various techniques for the treatment of multiple gingival recession have been established. Recently, vestibular incision subperiosteal tunnel access (VISTA) technique has been considered to exhibit high predictive ability. Connective tissue graft (CTG) has also been considered a gold standard technique owing to its high predictability of root coverage. However, this technique requires a suitable donor site and has clinical disadvantages, such as additional pain. Thus, in this case presentation, platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) was used as an alternative material for CTG along with VISTA. We herein report cases of two patients with Miller's class I and III multiple gingival recession defects, respectively. These patients underwent VISTA along with the use of a PRF membrane. They were followed up for 12 months postoperatively, and their clinical parameters, including probing depth, depth of gingival recession, clinical attachment level, and width of attached gingiva at baseline and at 2, 6, and 12 months postoperatively, were assessed. The patient with class 1 recession defects exhibited a significant amount of root coverage, which remained stable during the follow-up period. Whereas the patient with class 3 recession defects had lesser amount of coverage compared to class 1 patient. The partial coverage observed may be attributed to not only anatomical factors but also the technique-sensitive nature of the procedure. Considering these results, the use of VISTA along with PRF is a viable option for treating gingival recession, as it does not cause discomfort to patients. However, various factors need to be considered during the surgical procedure.

  • The first purpose of this review is to outline some of the background information necessary to understand the mechanisms of action of fibre-degrading enzymes in non-ruminants. Secondly, the well-known and understood mechanisms are described, i) eliminating the nutrient encapsulating effect of the cell wall and ii) ameliorating viscosity problems associated with certain Non Starch Polysaccharides, particularly arabinoxylans and ${\beta}$-glucans. A third, indirect mechanism is then discussed: the activity of such enzymes in producing prebiotic oligosaccharides and promoting beneficial cecal fermentation. The literature contains a wealth of information on various non starch polysaccharide degrading enzyme (NSPase) preparations and this review aims to conclude by discussing this body of work, with reference to the above mechanisms. It is suggested that the way in which multi- versus single-component products are compared is often flawed and that some continuity should be employed in methods and terminology.

  • Improve the rural views of the Government and the municipalities with the intention of rural landscape planning. However, rural scenery evaluation of landscape types and element categories, landscape scenes, such as the valuation of resources selected, form a coherent system and ecological point of view is not only a Visual perspective of evaluation, or evaluation is made. PARAMETRIC STUDIES ON THERMAL HYDRAULIC CHARACTERISTICS FOR TRANSIENT OPERATIONS OF AN INTEGRAL TYPE REACTOR

  • Transient operations for an integral type reactor, SMART-P, have been experimentally investigated using a thermal-hydraulic integral test facility, VISTA (Experimental Verification by Integral Simulation of Transients and Accidents), in order to verify the system design and performance of the SMART-P, a pilot plant of SMART. The VISTA facility was subjected to various accident conditions such as feedwater increase and decrease, loss of coolant flow, and control rod withdrawal accidents in order to elucidate the thermal-hydraulic responses following such accidents and finally to verify the system design of the SMARTP. Full functional control logics have been implemented in the VISTA facility in order to control the required control action for an accident simulation. As one of the sensitivity tests to verify the PRHRS performance, the effects of the initial water level in the compensation tank are experimentally investigated. When the initial water level is 16%, the water is quickly drained and nitrogen gas is then introduced into the PRHR system, resulting in deterioration of the PRHRS performance. It is thus found that nitrogen ingression should be prevented to ensure stable PRHRS operation.

  • 과반수 이상의 국민이 살게 된 아파트 환경은 거주자의 요구 특성이 충분히 반영되지 못한 상황에서 물량공급적 측면만이 강조되어 왔다고 할 수 있다. 하지만 조만간 주택보급률이 100%에 육박할 것으로 전망되고 전반적인 생활수준의 향상과 함께 수요자의 다양한 거주 환경에 대한 욕구변화가 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 거주자의 욕구 특성을 파악하고 현 거주 환경에 대한 만족도 및 선호경향의 변화를 분석해 보는 것은 거주자의 주요구를 파악할 수 있는 지표로서 바람직한 주거환경 창조를 위한 필수 선행과제이다. 본 연구는 설문조사를 통해 아파트 거주자들을 중심으로 아파트 주거환경에 대한 만족도 및 선호도를 조사 분석함으로써 거주자 요구충족을 중심으로 한 아파트 공간계획의 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The pressurized light water cooled, medium power (330 MWt) SMART (System-integrated Modular Advanced ReacTor) has been under development at KAERI for a dual purpose : seawater desalination and electricity generation. The SMART design verification phase was followed to conduct various separate effects tests and comprehensive integral effect tests. The high temperature / high pressure thermal-hydraulic test facility, VISTA(Experimental Verification by Integral Simulation of Transient and Accidents) has been constructed to simulate the SMART-P (the one fifth scaled pilot plant) by KAERI. Experimental tests have been performed to investigate the thermal-hydraulic dynamic characteristics of the primary and the secondary systems. Heat transfer characteristics and natural circulation performance of the PRHRS (Passive Residual Heat Removal System) of SMART-P were also investigated using the VISTA facility. The coolant flows steadily in the natural circulation loop which is composed of the steam generator (SG) primary side, the secondary system, and the PRHRS. The heat transfers through the PRHRS heat exchanger and ECT are sufficient enough to enable the natural circulation of the coolant.

  • 본 연구에서는 요즘 학습자들의 다양한 능력 수준과 심리적 요인들을 동시에 고려하여 VRML 저작툴을 이용한 가상전시공간을 설계하였다. 감상학습을 현실감있게 하고, 상호 작용적이며, 흥미로운 학습동기를 유발하고자 Photo Vista, Object Modeler, Reality Studio 등의 3D WBI 저작툴을 이용한 Panorama Image와 3D Object 모듈을 구현하는 방법을 구현하였다. 본 연구에서는 이 가상 전시공간이 학생들의 미술교육에서 현실감있는 작품감상으로 학생들의 심미적인 면에 얼마나 많은 영향을 미치는지를 연구하고자 한다.
