Based on the combination of picture book design elements with virtual reality technology and the development of a children's picture book teaching game, this article analyzes the effectiveness of the application of virtual reality technology in children's teaching, and explores the usability of picture book design elements in teaching [1]. Through literature research methods, practical research methods and investigation research methods, this paper lucubrates the application of virtual reality technology in the design elements of children's picture book education so as to provide adequate theoretical and practical support for the research theme. The spatial positioning, vision, sound, and functional requirements of children's picture book games play a leading role in teaching. Practical statistics have proved that it is easier to promote children's mastery of teaching knowledge in a virtual environment. Moreover, use VR's game management function and setting function to solve the boringness of traditional education methods and the limitations of the teaching environment. The feasibility of game operation provides a virtual teaching platform system for children's education, and the teaching effect is remarkable.

  • Exact optical characterization of virtual and augmented reality devices using conventional luminance measuring methods is a time-consuming process. A new measurement method is proposed to estimate in a relatively short time the boundary of ray trajectories emitting from a specific position on a virtual images. It is assumed that the virtual image can be modeled to be formed in front of one's eyes and seen through some optical aperture (field stop) that limits the field of view. Circular and rectangular shaped virtual images were investigated. From the estimated ray boundary, optical characteristics, such as the viewing direction and three dimensional range inside which a eye can observe the specified positions of the virtual image, were derived. The proposed method can provide useful data for avoiding the unnecessary measurements required for the previously reported method. Therefore, this method can be complementary to the previously reported method for reducing the whole measurement time of optical characteristics.

  • This study details the neuroscientific concept of somatosensation, general sensory stimulation therapy and virtual reality therapy. Somatosensation is a method that the human body uses to accept information from the inner and outer parts of the body. A traditional sensory stimulation therapy was designed to maximize neural recovery, but the neural recovery is most effective when the therapeutic environment is similar to real life. The virtual reality provides natural environment that users may perceive as meaningful and even participants with significant impairment can perform some of the activities of their daily lives within the virtual environment. The virtual reality will become a complementary part of somatosensory rehabilitation.
