T형 수평 및 수직 입구 분지관 내 냉매 2상 유동 특성 (Two-phase Flow Characteristics of Refrigerant in T-branch with Horizontal and Vertical Inlet Tube)

  • The present study investigated the two-phase flow characteristics of refrigerant R-22 in T-branch with horizontal and vertical inlet tube The key experimental parameters were the orientation of inlet and branch tubes (horizontal and vertical), diameter ratio of branch tube to inlet tube (1 and 0.61), inlet mass flux (200~500 kg/$m^2$s) and inlet quality (0.1~0.4). Predicted pressure profile agreed with the measured data within 25.4%. The flow distribution ratio decreased as the mass flux increased. The flow distribution ratio decreased by 12~25% as the tube diameter ratio decreased from 1 to 0.61, and decreased by 38~47% as the orientation of branch changed from horizontal to vertical upward for horizontal inlet tubes. As the orientation of inlet tube changed from horizontal to vertical upward for horizontal branch, the flow distribution ratio increased by 15~68%, but the quality in the branch tube decreased by 28~92% due to phase separation.

  • This paper presents an assessment method in integrity of the windings in cast resin molded transformers by using vertical analysis of thermal distribution. The proposed method is to compare the temperature distribution in a sound specimen with that in the faulted specimen with a layer to layer short circuit. Temperature distribution was acquired by an infrared thermography system, and the Arrhenius equation was adopted to the accelerated test. The proposed method can be used to detect the failures in the transformers.

  • 본 논문은 수직온도분포 분석을 이용한 몰드변압기 권선의 건전성 평가 방법을 제시하고 있다. 이 방법은 건전 시료의 온도 분포와 가속열화실험에 의해 층간 단락된 고장시료의 온도 분포 비교를 통해 얻어진 결과이다. 분석에 활용된 온도분포는 적외선 열화상 시스템에 의해 취득되었고, 가속 열화시험에는 Arrhenius 방정식이 적용되었다. 제안된 방법은 몰드변압기 고장을 검출하는데 유용할 것이다.

  • 연안역의 천해 해저면에 설치된 ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler, 300㎑, 1200 ㎑)를 이용, 천해에서 체적 산란강도 (volume scattering strength, Sv)의 수직분포에 대한 시변동성을 알아보았다. 수심 85m와 113m에서 ADCP로 측정한 후방 산란강도의 일주기 변동성은 동물플랑크톤 (zooplankton)으로 추측되는 산란체의 일주기 수직이동 (daily vertical migration)에 기인된 것으로 추정되었다. 그러나 수심 20m의 천해에서 관측된 산란강도의 시변동성은 경험적 직교함수 (Empirical Orthogonal Function, EOF) 분석 결과, 해저면 부근의 변화가 천해 체적 산란강도의 변동성에 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Irregular distribution of mass in elevation is regarded as a structural irregularity by which the modes with high energy levels are excited and in addition, it can lead the structure to withstanding concentration of nonlinear deformations and consequently, suffer from unpredictable local or global damages. Accordingly, with respect to the lack of knowledge and insight towards the performance of concrete buildings making use of tunnel-form structural system in seismic events, it is of utmost significance to assess seismic vulnerability of such structures involved in vertical mass irregularity. To resolve such a crucial drawback, this papers aims to seismically assess vulnerability of RC tunnel-form buildings considering effects of irregular mass distribution. The results indicate that modal responses are not affected by building's height and patterns of mass distribution in elevation. Moreover, there was no considerable effect observed on the performance levels under DBE and MCE hazard scenarios within different patterns of irregular mass distribution. In conclusion, it appears that necessarily of vertical regularity for tunnel-form buildings, is somehow drastic and conservative at least for the buildings and irregularity patterns studied herein.

제주 남부해역 수온 수직구조의 공간분포 특성 파악 (Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Vertical Temperature Profile in the South Sea of Jeju, Korea)

  • 공간적으로 3차원의 특성을 지닌 해양에서 수직적인 수온 자료의 특성을 가시화하기 위해서는 각 수심층별 수평 수온분포도와 같은 2차원적 주제도나 3차원적 공간보간을 통한 입체 모델을 사용하게 된다. 이러한 방법은 해양 현상을 시각적으로 이해하는데 유용하지만, 수직적 수온분포의 공간 패턴 분석이나 수직적 수온의 특성과 다른 해양 요인(해양화학, 해양생물, 기후변화 등)과의 관계분석에는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 수온 수직구조의 주요 파라미터인 혼합층의 깊이, 최대수온구배, 수온약층의 두께를 추출하는 알고리즘을 이용하여, 수온의 수직구조 특성을 정량화함으로써 제주남부 해역의 수온 수직구조의 공간분포 특성을 밝히고자 한다. 이를 위해 수온 수직구조를 대표하는 세 가지 파라미터에 대한 공간분포지도 제작을 비롯해 공간자기상관 지수(Moran's I)를 계산하였다. 아울러, 세 가지 파라미터에 대한 군집분석을 수행하여 제주 남부해역을 4개 지역으로 그룹핑하고, 각 지역에 대한 수직 수온구조의 특성을 정의하였다.

  • This paper presents the integrity evaluation method of the windings in cast resin transformers using vertical thermal distribution analysis. The method is to compare the temperature distribution in a sound condition specimen with that in the failure condition specimen layer-shorted by accelerated testing. The temperature distribution was acquisited by a infrared thermography system, and the Arrhenius equation was adopted to the accelerated testing. The proposed method may be available to detect the failures in cast resin transformers.

자연하천의 연직방향 유속분포 추정을 위한 포물선식 (Quadratic Parabolic Equation to Estimate the Vertical Velocity Distribution in the Natural Streamflow)

  • 이 연구에서는 1995년부터 1997년까지 금강수계 강경지점에서 유속계로 측정한 유속자료를 분석하여 자연하천의 연직방향 유속분포특성을 규명하였다. 또한, 현장유속 측정조건이 불량하여 다점법으로 유속분포를 측정하기 곤란한 경우, 간단하게 표면유속만을 측정하여 상대깊이별 유속을 추정할 수 있는 연직 유속분포식을 유도하였다. 2차 포물선의 유속분포식은 통계적으로 매우 안정적이고, 표면유속과 바닥유속 등과 고도의 유의성을 보였다. 2차 포물선식의 상수 및 계수와 표면유속과의 상관관계를 구하였으며, 실측 검정자료에 적용한 결과, 유속분포특성을 잘 반영하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 연직 유속분포식으로 추정된 유속은 실제수심을 적용하여 평균유속과 유량을 결정할 수 있으며, 이는 또한 하천의 오염물질이동 등 수질해석에 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

임플랜트 Overdenture의 Bar설계에 따른 하악지지조직의 광탄성학적 응력분석 (PHOTOELASTIC STRESS ANALYSIS ON THE MANDIBLE CAUSED BY IMPLANT OVERDENTURE)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effects of number and alignment of implant fixture and various bar designs on the retention of denture and the stress distribution. Six kinds of photoelastic mandibular models and nine kinds of overdenture specimens were designed. A unilateral vertical load was gradually applied on the right first molar to calculate the maximal dislodgement load of each specimen. A unilateral vertical load of 17 Kgf was applied on the right first molar and a vertical load of 10 Kgf was applied on the interincisal edge region. The stress pattern which developed in each photoelastic model was analyzed by the reflection polariscope. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The maximal dislodgement load reversely increased with the distance from the loading point to the implant fixture, while it linearly increased with that from the most posterior implant fixture to the mesial clip. The maximal dislodgement load also increased with the use of a cantilever bar. 2. Under the posterior vertical load, the stress to the supporting tissue of the denture base increased with the distance from the loading point to the implant future. The stress concentration on the apical area of the implant future reversely increased with the distance from the loading point to the implant future. 3. In the overdentures supported by two implant fixtures under the posterior vertical load. the specimen implanted on lateral incisor areas with a cantilever bar exhibited more favorable stress distribution than that without a cantilever bar. The specimen implanted on the canine areas without a cantilever bar, however, exhibited more favorable stress distribution. 4. In the overdentures supported by three implant fixtures. the specimen implanted ell the midline and canine areas exhibited more favorable stress distribution than that implanted oil the midline and the first premolar areas. 5. In the overdentures supported by four implant fixtures. the specimen implanted with two adjacent implant fixtures exhibited more favorable stress distribution than that implanted at equal distance under the posterior vertical load. 6. Under the anterior vertical load, the overdentures supported by three implant fixtures exhibited stress concentration on the supporting structure of the middle implant future. In overdentures supported by two or four implant futures, no significant difference was noted in stress distribution between the types of bars. These results indicate that the greater the number of implant fixtures, the better the stress distribution is. A favorable stress distribution may be obtained in the overdentures supported by two or three implant fixtures, if the location and the design of the bar are appropriate.

The Vertical Distribution and Diurnal Migration of Cladocera, Evadne Nordmanii Loven at Different Stations in the Irish Sea.

  • The vertical distribution and diurnal migration of Evadne nordmanii has been studied at different stations in the Irish Sea. There are many reports that the migrations of planktonic animals tend to be hampered by thermoclines and haloclines. Physical and chemical factors were compared with vertical distribution and diurnal migrations of the animal. Evadne must be essentially an epiplanktonic form with the ability to endure strong light intensity. The animals generally migrated to the very surface layer from their shallow day strata with the decreased of light intensity. During the night their distribution seems rather random or even throughout all the layers, with a tendency to concentrate at the bottom layers, when the water was homogeneous physically and chemically. E. nordmanii may penetrate minor thermoclines and haloclines, but they may avoid chemically distinct waters or possibly currents.
