  • Given a domain X and a collection H of functions h : X → {0, 1}, the Vapnik-Chervonenkis (VC) dimension of H measures its complexity in an appropriate sense. In particular, the fundamental theorem of statistical learning says that a hypothesis class with finite VC-dimension is PAC learnable. Recent work by Fitzpatrick, Wyman, the fourth and seventh named authors studied the VC-dimension of a natural family of functions ℋ'2t(E) : 𝔽2q → {0, 1}, corresponding to indicator functions of circles centered at points in a subset E ⊆ 𝔽2q. They showed that when |E| is large enough, the VC-dimension of ℋ'2t(E) is the same as in the case that E = 𝔽2q. We study a related hypothesis class, ℋdt(E), corresponding to intersections of spheres in 𝔽dq, and ask how large E ⊆ 𝔽dq needs to be to ensure the maximum possible VC-dimension. We resolve this problem in all dimensions, proving that whenever |E| ≥ Cdqd-1/(d-1) for d ≥ 3, the VC-dimension of ℋdt(E) is as large as possible. We get a slightly stronger result if d = 3: this result holds as long as |E| ≥ C3q7/3. Furthermore, when d = 2 the result holds when |E| ≥ C2q7/4.

  • The aim of this research is to propose new framework for taxonomy of various business and its concept, due to the changes in market space. This framework is three-dimension cubic model, based on three concepts, business layer(BL), value chain(VC), and Real/Virtual(R/V) that symbolizes real environment and virtual(or cyber) space. And we showed that this framework is able to describe all expected(or existed) business types in certain industry by the combinations of BL-VC-R/V on three dimension. In addition, we suggested new definition of e-business and e-Logistics from view of BL-VC-R/V. In order to test availability, this framework was applied for logistics related business. and classified typical business types existed (or expected) in logistics area.

  • In order to accommodate current accelerated growth in customers and traffic. Internet has faced the demand to scale its network dimension both in size and bandwidth, and new service provisioning. One way to solve this problem is to forward If packets based on ATM switching technology. This paper briefly explained technical tasks to apply this If switching technique in ATM networks for building Internet backbone, and presented the directions to approach these tasks. Those tasks are scalability, ATM VC setup and mapping between VC and IP packet flow, traffic management and traffic engineering, multicast, and finally ATM switch architecture to provide multiservice.

  • According to the development of the Internet and the pervasion of Data Base, it is not easy to search for necessary information from the huge amounts of data. In order to do efficient analysis of a large amounts of data, this paper proposes a method for pattern classification based on the effective strategy for dimension reduction for narrowing down the whole data to what users wants to search for. To analyze data effectively, Radial Basis Function Networks based on VC-dimension of Support Vector Machine, a model of statistical teaming, is proposed in this paper. The model of Radial Basis Function Networks currently used performed the preprocessing of Perceptron model whereas the model proposed in this paper, performing independent analysis on VD-dimension, classifies each datum putting precise labels on it. The comparison and estimation of various models by using Machine Learning Data shows that the model proposed in this paper proves to be more efficient than various sorts of algorithm previously used.

  • In this study, the load analysis of a composite canard aircraft is performed numerically. Excel visual basic program for PC is used to calculate aerodynamic coefficients, loads and moments etc.. The basic data required for the load analysis such as aircraft configuration and dimension, parts and its weight and coordinate etc. are obtained from Catia modeling, measurement or material density. Aircraft weight, center of gravity, inertia moment, structural design speeds, wing load distribution, forces and moments are evaluated by using these data. V-n diagram is also represented for selecting critical loads applied to the wing and fuselage. The V-n diagram is investigated to decide the flight envelope of canard aircraft for design speed VA, VC, VD and load factor +3.8G, -1.52G at maximum weight of 2,573 lbs and sea level. In the future, the results of the wing and fuselage load analysis is to represented by using selected critical loads.
