Clinical Observation on C.V.A. (뇌졸중(腦卒中)에 관(關)한 임상통계적(臨床統計的) 연구(硏究))

  • Clinical observation was done on 1092 cases of cerebrovascular disease which were confirmed by Brain CT scan in Oriental Medical Hospital in Kyung Hee Univ. from May 1987 to May 1988. Specially, clinical prognosis of 250 patients who had been hospitalized for over 4 weeks, were obserbed. The results were obtained as follows; 1. In this study, Occlusive CVD was 77.9%, Cerebral hemorrhage was 18.8%, Subarachnoid hemonhage was 0.8%. 2. The ratio of male to female was 1.4:1. In the age distribution, 60th decade, 50th decade, 40th decade, 30th's, 20th's were in order of frequency and specially 60th decade was 35.53% over 70th decade was 17.1% in ratio. 3. The most common preceding disease of CVD was hypertension (54.21%) and diabetes mellitus (19.96%) was second. 4. Almost, the duration of hospitalization was 2-4 weeks in 34.8%, within 4 weeks in 78.02%. 5. Primary attack was 75.7%, 2nd attack was 17.9%, over 3rd attack was 3.1% in ratio of recurrence. 6. The level of consciousness was Grade I in 96.4%, Grade II in 3.2%, Grade III in 1% at attack. 7. A few complications of C.V.A. were observed in the studies: pneumonia was noted frequently in 3.2%, bed sore, urinary tract infection, gastro intestinal bleeding in order of frequency. 8. The ratio of neurologic deficiency in occlusive CVD decreased from 51.9% to 29.3% in upper limb, 52.6% to 24.4% in lower limb, and that in cerebral hemorrhage decreased from 69.5% to 25% in upper limb, 50% to 20% in lower limb. 9. The ratio of left side hemiplegia to right was 1.04:1 in male, 1:1.18 in female. 10. The herb medications for C.V.A. were various Chungg-Paesagantang, Sunghanggeonggisan were used most frequently to Chungyeold, Geopung, Soongi, Haldam and Chungsimtang, the drugs for Bogiheol were used as discharge. In these oriental medical therapy of C.V.A. objective diagnosis and more various therapeutic method must be obtained through east-west medical co-operation.

CMOS Voltage down converter using the self temperature-compensation techniques (자동 온도 보상 기법을 이용한 CMOS 내부 전원 전압 발생기)

  • An on chip voltage down converter (VDC) using the self temperature-compensation techniques is proposed. At a different gate bias voltage, PMOSFET shows different source to drain current characteristic according to the temperature variation. The proposed VDC can reduce its temperature dependency by the source to drain current ratio of two PMOSFET with different gate bias respectively. Proposed circuit is fabricated in Dongbu-anam $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process and experimental results show its temperature dependency of $-0.49mV/^{\circ}C$ and external supply dependency of 6mV/V. Total current consumption is only $1.1{\mu}A@2.5V$.

The Change of Soil Physicochemical Properties by Mixture Ratio of Inorganic Soil Amendments (무기성 토양개량제들의 혼합비율에 따른 토양이화학성의 변화)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the mixture ratio of the inorganic soil amendments on the soil physicochemical properties. In this experiment, three kinds of soil amendments which had similar pH, EC and particle size, the A, B and C, were tested. The mixture ratio of soil amendment were 0%, 3%, 5%, 7% and 10% (V/V) incorporated with sand which met to the USGA(United State of Golf Association) particle standard. To analyze the effects of amendment on chemical soil properties, pH, EC(electrical conductivity) and CEC(cation exchangeable capacity) were measured. The porosity, bulk density and hydraulic conductivity also measured to analyze the changes of physical properties. In the chemical properties, pH was significantly related to the mixture ratios of amendments, A and C(P<0.05), CEC and EC also related to the ratios of C(P<0.01). When the results were applied to the USGA standard of the soil physical properties, the optimum mixture ratios of each amendment were 3% in A and B, and 7~10% in C. To analyze the corelation of mixture ratio versus to physical character, volume of porosity was significantly related to the ratio of B (P<0.05), and showed similar corelation in porosity and hydraulic conductivity with ratio of C(P<0.05). These results indicate that types and mixture ratio of inorganic soil amendments should affect on soil physio-chemical properties of root zone on USGA sand green.

Structural and optical properties of $CuInS_2$ thin films fabricated by electron-beam evaporation (전자빔 증착으로 제조한 $CuInS_2$ 박막의 구조적 및 광학적 특성)

  • Single phase $CuInS_2$ thin film with the highest diffraction peak (112) at diffraction angle $(2\theta)$ of $27.7^{\circ}$ and the second highest diffraction peak (220) at diffraction angle $(2\theta)$ of $46.25^{\circ}$ was well made with chalcopyrite structure at substrate temperature of $70^{\circ}C$, annealing temperature of $250^{\circ}C$, annealing time of 60 min. The $CuInS_2$ thin film had the greatest grain size of $1.2{\mu}m$ and Cu/In composition ratio of 1.03. Lattice constant of a and c of that $CuInS_2$ thin film was 5.60 A and 11.12 A respectively. Single phase $CuInS_2$ thin films were accepted from Cu/In composition ratio of 0.84 to 1.3. P-type $CuInS_2$ thin films were appeared at over Cu/In composition ratio of 0.99. Under Cu/In composition ratio of 0.96, conduction types of $CuInS_2$ thin films were n-type. Also, fundamental absorption wavelength, the absorption coefficient and optical energy band gap of p-type $CuInS_2$ thin film with Cu/In composition ratio of 1.3 was 837 nm, $3.0{\times}104cm^{-1}$ and 1.48 eV respectively. When Cu/In composition ratio was 0.84, fundamental absorption wavelength, the absorption coefficient and optical energy band gap of n-type $CuInS_2$ thin film was 821 nm, $6.0{\times}10^4cm^{-1}$ and 1.51 eV respectively.

  • Fifteen races resulted from silkworm breeding program at Sericulture Research Department (SRD) were used for hybridization. Fourteen hybrids were obtained and coded as; Giza C, D, R, S, T, U, A, V, W, P, H, L and Qanater 1, 2. The traits of cocoon weight, cocoon shell weight, pupal weight, cocoon shell ratio, silk productivity, fifth instar duration, total larval duration, number of cocoon per liter and pupation ratio were evaluated. Data were analyzed by using three formulae of heterosis over better, mid and check parent values. Hybrids of Giza V, C, N, Qanater 1 and 2 are promising and could be used in commercial cocoon production. Generally, there are some new hybrids can be exploited in commercial scale. Also, the local races can be evolved using the hybridization, inbreeding and selection program.

De-NOx Characteristics of V2O5 SCR according to the Ratio of TiO2 Crystal Structures

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the de-NOx performance characteristics according to the $TiO_2$ crystal structures ratio of $V_2O_5$ SCR catalysts. The anatase(100%) SCR catalyst showed the highest desorption peak of 80ppm at about $250^{\circ}C$, and $NH_3$ was not desorbed at $500^{\circ}C$. It can be confirmed that there was many $NH_3$ desorbed at a high temperature among other various crystal structures, which is because the catalyst was more acidized to increase the intensity of acid sites as the content of subacid sulfate ions($NH_2SO_4$) in the rutile phase increases. The anatase/rutile(7%/93%) SCR had the smallest width of de-NOx performance drop according to thermal aging, and had strong durability against thermal aging.

  • In the ALC(Autoclaved lightweight concrete) manufacturing process, if the pre-cured semi-cake is removed after proper time is passed, it will be hard to retain the moisture and be easily cracked. Therefore, in this research, we took the research by multiple regression analysis to find relationship between variables for the prediction the hardness that is the control standard of the removal time. We study the relationship between Independent variables such as the V/T(Vibration Time), V/T movement, expansion height, curing time, placing temperature, Rising and C/S ratio and the Dependent variables, the hardness by multiple regression analysis. In this study, first, we calculated regression equation by the regression analysis, then we tried phased regression analysis, best subset regression analysis and residual analysis. At last, we could verify curing time, placing temperature, Rising and C/S ratio influence to the hardness by the estimated regression equation.

  • The PLT thin films on (100) cleaved MgO single crystal substrate have been fabricated by rf magnetron sputtering using a PbO-rich target. The dependence of physical and electrical properties on the degree of c-axis orientation has been studied. The degree of c-axis orientation of PLT thin films depends on fabrication conditions. Fabrication conditions of the PLT thin films were such that substrate temperature, working pressure, gas ratio of $Ar/O_{2}$, and rf power density were $640^{\circ}C$, 10 mTorr, 10 seem, and $1.7\;W/cm^{2}$, respectively. In these conditions, the PLT thin film showed the Pb/Ti ratio of 1/2 at the surface, the resistivity of $8{\times}10^{11}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, and dielectric constant of 110. The pyroelectric infrared sensors with these PLT thin films showed the peak to peak voltage of 450 m V and signal to noise ratio of 7.2.

Growth and Characterization of Self-catalyed GaAs Nanowires on Si(111) for Low Defect Densities

  • 1차원 반도체인 nanowires (NWs)는 전기적, 광학적으로 일반 bulk구조와 다른 특성을 가지고 있어서 현재 많은 연구가 되고 있다. 일반적으로 NWs는 Au 등의 금속 촉매를 이용하여 성장을 하게 되는데 이때 촉매가 오염물로 작용을 해서 결함을 만들어서 bandgap내에 defect level을 형성하게 된다. 본 연구는 Si(111) 기판 위에 Ga-droplet을 촉매로 사용을 하여 molecular beam epitaxy로 성장을 하였다. 성장온도는 600$^{\circ}C$로 고정을 하였고 growth rate은 GaAs(100) substrate에서 2.5 A/s로 Ga의 양을 고정하고 V/III ratio를 1부터 8까지 변화를 시켰다. As의 양에 따라서 생성되는 NWs의 개수가 증가하고 growth rate이 빨라지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. Transmission Electron Microscopy 분석 결과 낮은 V/III ratio에서는 zincblende, wurtzite 그리고 stacking faults 가 혼재 되어 있는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이러한 결함은 소자를 만드는데 한계가 있기 때문에 pure zincblende나 pure wurtzite를 가져야 하는데 V/III ratio : 8 에서 pure zincblende구조가 되었다. Gibbs-Thomson effect에 따르면 구조적 변화는 Ga droplet과 NWs의 접면에서 크기가 중요한 역할을 한다[1]. 연구 결과 V/III ratio : 8일 때 Ga droplet의 크기가 zincblende성장에 알맞다는 것을 예상할 수 있었다. laser confocal photoluminescence 결과 상온에서 1.43 eV의 bandgap을 가지는 bulk구조와는 다른 와 1.49eV의 bandgap을 가지는 것을 확인하였다.
