에너지공급시설 및 환경기초시설의 복합화 방안 및 적용효과 분석 (A Study on the Design Method and the Effect Analysis for the Introduction of the Integrated System Model of Individual Urban Utility Plants)

  • Recently urban utility plants in urban areas of Korea, such as energy supply systems, municipal waste incineration systems, sewage treatment systems and so on, have caused some critical troubles, for instance the insensitive response to the seasonal or daily variation of loads, the low system efficiency and inefficient use of energy because of the large-scale system located a great distance. Therefor the design method of optimal integrated system model of various urban utility plants proposed in this study suitably to the present situation of Korea. Also, the effect analysis for the introduction of compound utility plants was studied for a new town model on a 60,000 persons scale. As the results we found that the complex plant was superior to individual urban utility plant in side of the initial investment expenses, the operating cost and other reasons.

플랜트 유틸리티 시공에서 리스크 관리에 관한 연구 (On the Analysis of Risk Management for a Utility Construction Work in Plant Projects)

  • From 2000, the world plant market, especially plant developing business related to oil and gas, has been increasing. Domestic construction companies advance to overseas plant construction market actively, and proportioning to this, an importance of utility construction is increasing. However, the project becomes large and high-tech, and many companies experience difficulty of project management due to relatively high risk of overseas construction. In this study, we built the standard process with which domestic company can evaluate the risk of overseas plant utility construction. Primary factors for risk evaluation is derived, classification system is made out, primary factor is analyzed, and counter plan is suggested. And thorough management of risk is performed by risk management organization that manages the risks, risk control methods, reports and monitors through risk sheet and risk action log from the start of project to the end.

  • 대부분의 화학공장에서는 유틸리티의 운용에 따라 경제성이 크게 좌우된다. 공장에서 이용되는 유틸리티는 중앙 집중화된 유틸리티 시스템에 의해 제공되는데 유틸리티 가운데 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 것은 수증기로서 이의 효율적인 관리는 공장의 전력 및 용수의 수급에도 직접적인 영향을 미치게 된다. 이에 따라 대학교 4학년 학생 및 회사의 신입사원들이 유틸리티의 효율적 분배에 대한 개념을 바르고 신속하게 정립하고 실제 운전에 활용할 수 있도록 하는 것이 중요하다. OOUS(optimal operation of utility system)는 빠른 시간 내에 유틸리티, 특히 수증기의 효율적 생산과 최적 배분방법들을 학생들이나 신입사원들에게 교육시킬 수 있도록 구성된 시스템이다. OOUS에서는 다양한 유틸리티 관련장치 및 공정들을 다루고 있으며 유틸리티 관련 장치 모델과 운전지식 베이스를 기반으로 최적 운전조건이 제시되도록 함으로써 전체 유틸리티 플랜트의 조업 경비가 절감될 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 공장의 안정적인 운전과 경제성을 위해서는 유틸리티의 수급을 정확히 파악하고 공급하는 것이 중요하다. 모터/터빈 공정은 유틸리티 플랜트에서 수증기와 전력의 균형을 조절하여 주며 이의 최적 운전은 유틸리티 플랜트의 경제성에 지대한 영향을 미친다. 모터/터빈 공정의 분석을 위해서는 먼저 수증기 발생장치와 수증기 분배장치 전반에 대한 모델의 규명이 요구됨은 물론 제반 상황에 대한 운전지식이 필요하다. 유틸리티 관련 장치의 모델과 운전지식 베이스를 기반으로 구성되는 모터/터빈 운전 최적화 시스템에서는 다양한 등급의 수증기 헤더에서 요구되는 수증기 양이 변할 때 각 유틸리티 설비의 최적 운전조건을 제시하여 주며 수증기 요구량의 변화에 따라 유틸리티 펌프의 구동원이 적절하게 선택되고 이에 따라 전체 유틸리티 플랜트의 조업 경비도 절감할 수 있다.

Italian Rye Grass 초지군락의 청예처리빈도에 따른 생산성과 질소이용성 (Nitrogen Utility during the Population Development with Different Clipping Treatments on Italian Rye Grass Field)

  • The plant growth and net production, the nitrogen uptake and recycling, the nitrogen mobility and allocation to each organ, and the nitrogen utility from the Italian rye grass field during the population development were analyzed in comparison with different clipping treatments. The maximum dry matter standing crop and nitrogen quantity of harvest increased significantly, however, the annual amounts of dry matter and nitrogen assimilation showed little variations with increasing clipping frequencies. Plants treated with frequent clippings allocated relatively more nitrogen to leaves and less to roots during the experimental period. The amount of recycling of nitrogen decreased considerably due to frequent clippings. The annual averages of nitrogen utility indices changed in inverse relation to the nitrogen availability; such as 63, 58, 44 and 35 for C, A, M and J plots, respectively.

Biotechnological improvement of lignocellulosic feedstock for enhanced biofuel productivity and processing

  • Secondary walls have recently drawn research interest as a primary source of sugars for liquid biofuel production. Secondary walls are composed of a complex mixture of the structural polymers cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. A matrix of hemicellulose and lignin surrounds the cellulose component of the plant's cell wall in order to protect the cell from enzymatic attacks. Such resistance, along with the variability seen in the proportions of the major components of the mixture, presents process design and operating challenges to the bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass to fuel. Expanding bioenergy production to the commercial scale will require a significant improvement in the growth of feedstock as well as in its quality. Plant biotechnology offers an efficient means to create "targeted" changes in the chemical and physical properties of the resulting biomass through pathway-specific manipulation of metabolisms. The successful use of the genetic engineering approach largely depends on the development of two enabling tools: (1) the discovery of regulatory genes involved in key pathways that determine the quantity and quality of the biomass, and (2) utility promoters that can drive the expression of the introduced genes in a highly controlled manner spatially and/or temporally. In this review, we summarize the current understanding of the transcriptional regulatory network that controls secondary wall biosynthesis and discuss experimental approaches to developing-xylem-specific utility promoters.

Bauhinia variegata Linn. (Mountain Ebony): a review on ethnobotany, phytochemistry and pharmacology

  • Bauhinia variegata Linn (Mountain Ebony) is a medium-sized, deciduous tree, found throughout India, ascending to an altitude of 1,300 m in the Himalayas. The plant is widely used by the tribals throughout India and popular in various indigenous systems of medicine like Ayurveda, Unani and Homoeopathy. Following the various traditional claims on utility of this plant in curing number of diseases, considerable efforts have been made by researchers to verify its utility through pharmacological screenings. The notable biological activities reported are anthelmintic, antiulcer, antitumour, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antigoitrogenic, hepatoprotective and haemagglutination. Industrially, the plant is widely used for the manufacture of wood wool board, production of tannin, oil, gum and fibre. The plant is also utilized for afforestation to conserve the nature. In this article, a comprehensive account of the cultivation, microscopy, phytochemical investigation, traditional and biologically evaluated medicinal uses of B variegata is presented.

전력계통 전압외란에 대한 자가수용가의 과도 안정도 해석 (Transient Stability of Industrial Plant on Voltage Disturbance in the Utility System)

  • 최근의 자가발전기를 보유한 대용량 수용가에서는 자체의 전력계통올 안정하게 유지하기 위한 명가 방법으로서 안정도 해석올 통한 계통의 문제점을 파악하는 것은 중요한 과제이다. 본 논문은 전력계통에 있어서 대전력계통(한전계통)측의 3상 단락고장시 고장 지속 시간에 따른 자가 발전을 보유한 수용가 전력계통의 전압에 미치는 영향을 조사 분석한 논문으로 한전계통측의 고장 지속 시간에 따라 수용가 계통의 발전기 및 동기기가 불안정하게 된다. 이러한 불안정현상은 후비보호 계전기(저전압 계전기)의 적절한 시간 설정으로 한전계통과 분리하고 수용가의 부하를 차단하므로써 안정도를 증진시킬 수 있다.
