  • In this paper, the vibrations of floor systems of which buildings are under construction are studied by experimental and analysis method. The first step is to measure the operational response data and FRF at the supporting points of the utility and the second step is to calculate the dynamic load by TPA Method which provided by LMS VirtualLab System Analysis Module. The dynamics we used to identify is expressed by below equation; $$\{F_{oper}\}=[H]^{-1}\;{\cdot}\;\{{.. \atop x_{oper}}\}$$ Where, H(Transfer function between position of the force and response) and x(response) are measured by vibration test.

발전부문별 국민경제적 파급효과 분석 - 산업연관분석을 적용하여 - (The National Economic Effects of Four Power Generation Sectors: Using an Industrial Linkage Analysis)

  • The electric power industry has played an important role in dramatic economic development in Korea and the electricity has constituted a critical factor sustaining the well-being of the Korean people. This study uses input-output analysis to investigate the role of four electric power sectors (hydroelectric, fossil-fuels, nuclear and non-utility) in the Korean national economy for the period 1985~1998, focusing on four topics: the impacts of electricity supply investments, the electricity supply shortage effects, and the impacts of the rise in electricity rates, and the inter-industry linkage effect. The overall results reveal that non-utility electric sector is superior in terms of the national economy-wide effects to other three sectors throughout the period. Finally, potential uses of the results are illustrated from the perspective of policy instruments and some policy implications are discussed.

  • This paper describes a simulation model to analyze the interconnection operation of battery energy storage system(BESS) and utility system. The computer model used to these analysis composed by using PSCAD/EMTDC. The impacts experienced at load side are studied when occur faults in utility system, and also harmonics analysis are implemented. Results of these study are available to design the harmonic filter.

Effects of Hydrogen Sulfide and Siloxane on Landfill Gas Utility Facilities

  • This study examined the emission characteristics of impure gas-like hydrogen sulfide and siloxane contained in landfill gas (LFG) and investigated the effect of impure gas on LFG utility facilities. As a result of an LFG component analysis from eight landfills in the same environment, hydrogen sulfide averaged 436 ppmv (22-1,211 ppmv), and the concentration of total siloxane averaged 7.95 mg/$m^3$ (1.85-21.18 mg/$m^3$). In case of siloxane concentration by component, the ratio of D4 (average 3.79 mg/$m^3$) and D5 (average 2.64 mg/$m^3$) indicated the highest level. Different kinds of scales were found on the gas air heater (GAH) and inside the boiler. The major component of scale from the GAH was $Fe_2O_3$ of 38.5%, and it was caused by hydrogen sulfide. Other scale was found on the bottom and the wall of the boiler and the scale was silicon dioxide of 92.8% and 98.9%. The silicon dioxide scale was caused by combustion of siloxane. As a result of a scanning electron microscopy analysis, the structure of the silicon dioxide scale from the boiler was an immediate filamentous type. Consequently, as silicon dioxide scale is bulky, such bad effects were worsening, as an interruption in heat conduction, increase in fuel consumption, damage to the boiler by overheating, and clogged emission pipeline could occur in LFG utility facilities.

여성관련 공간을 중심으로 본 서울지역 아파트의 공간구조 변화 (An Analysis of Change on the Apartment Unit Plans and the Interior Spaces Related to Women)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the changes on the metropolitan condominium apartment unit plans based on the interior spaces related to women such An-bang (master bedroom), bathroom and attached spaces to the master bedroom, living room, diningroom, kitchen, utility room, and balcony. This study used the content analysis method and space syntax. Contents were limited to the floor plans with 3 rooms type and about 105 m2 in the Korean apartment encyclopedia. The unit plans of 2,278, built from October 1975 to January 2008, were analyzed and basically SPSS package 16.0 was employed. The results were as followed. 1) Living room was a core space and an increasing tendency. After 2001, the design trend of living room connected with kitchen and dining room, and dining room changed into one space combining with women's working space such kitchen. It meaned women's working activities became into family public activities as to depending open access. 2) Kitchen had a characteristics that was connected to utility room or back balcony, and the number of extra kitchen increased. Also, the size of DK decreased, but utility size little increased. It was showed the characteristic of this space was still for women. 3) An-bang had a little strong characteristics of married coulpe or women's personal space with bathroom or dress room/powder room. 4) In addition, the values of integration and control of living room and DK were highest. It meant these space were centered in unit plans. Next, the An-bang and dress room/powder room were high. Utility room or balcony's were next, and these were women's working space. Therefore, family's public space was most important, and married couple or women's personal and working space were later in planning.

공동구 기본계획 기준수립을 위한 절차 및 적용사례에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Procedures and Application Examples for Establishment of Master Plan Standard for the Utility Tunnel)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존시가지에서 공동구 건설에 대한 합리적 의사 결정을 위한 기본계획 기준 수립의 방법에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 기존 연구에서는 타당성 평가에 의하여 최적노선을 선정 하였으나, 기본계획 기준에서는 공동구 설치 여건의 객관성을 높이기 위하여 타당성 및 경제성 분석에 의한 결과를 종합평가하여 분석 대상 전체 구간에 대하여 종합순위를 산정한다. 또한, 종합평가 결과를 기반으로 지역에서 진행 예정인 연계 사업 검토 후 중·장기 투자계획을 수립하는 방법을 도입하였다. 추가적으로 논문에서 제시한 기준 수립의 검토를 위하여 서울의 서북도심권에 대하여 기본계획 절차를 적용하여 분석을 수행하였다.

Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of HPV Vaccination: Comparing the General Population with Socially Vulnerable Individuals

  • Background: After the WHO recommended HPV vaccination of the general population in 2009, government support of HPV vaccination programs was increased in many countries. However, this policy was not implemented in Korea due to perceived low cost-effectiveness. Thus, the aim of this study was to analyze the cost-utility of HPV vaccination programs targeted to high risk populations as compared to vaccination programs for the general population. Materials and Methods: Each study population was set to 100,000 people in a simulation study to determine the incremental cost-utility ratio (ICUR), then standard prevalence rates, cost, vaccination rates, vaccine efficacy, and the Quality-Adjusted Life-Years (QALYs) were applied to the analysis. In addition, sensitivity analysis was performed by assuming discounted vaccination cost. Results: In the socially vulnerable population, QALYs gained through HPV vaccination were higher than that of the general population (General population: 1,019, Socially vulnerable population: 5,582). The results of ICUR showed that the cost of HPV vaccination was higher for the general population than the socially vulnerable population. (General population: 52,279,255 KRW, Socially vulnerable population: 9,547,347 KRW). Compared with 24 million KRW/QALYs as the social threshold, vaccination of the general population was not cost-effective. In contrast, vaccination of the socially vulnerable population was strongly cost-effective. Conclusions: The results suggest the importance and necessity of government support of HPV vaccination programs targeted to socially vulnerable populations because a targeted approach is much more cost-effective. The implementation of government support for such vaccination programs is a critical strategy for decreasing the burden of HPV infection in Korea.

임계전류, 임계온도 및 회복시간을 고려한 초전도 전력케이블의 EMTDC 모델 컴포넌트 개발 (Development of EMTDC model component for HTS power cable considering critical current, critical temperature and recovery time)

  • Before applying HTS power cable to the real utility. system analysis should be carried out by some simulation tools . Hereby the electrical power system analysis is very important for practical use of HTS devices. Nowadays PSCAD/EMTDC simulation tool is one of the most popular and useful analysis tool for the electrical power system analysis. Unfortunately the model component for HTS power cable is not provided in the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation tool In this paper. the EMTDC model component for HTS power cable has been developed considering critical current, critical temperature and recovery time constant that depend on the sorts of HTS wire. The numerical model of HTS Power cable in PSCAD/EMTDC was designed by using the real experimented data obtained from the real HTS 1G wire test. The utility application analysis of HTS power cable was also performed using the developed model component and the parameters of the real utility network in this study. The author's got good results. The developed model component for HTS power cable could be variously used when the power system includes HTS power cable, especially it will be readily analyzed by PSCAD/EMTDC in order to obtain the data for the level of fault current power flow, and power losses, and so on.

지하 공동구 화재재난 감지를 위한 음향수집 프로토타입 장치 및 시스템 모듈 개발 (Development of a Acoustic Acquisition Prototype device and System Modules for Fire Detection in the Underground Utility Tunnel)

  • 지하 공동구 화재 발생에 따른 직·간접적 피해는 사회 전반에 매우 큰 영향을 미치므로 이를 사전에 예방 및 관리하기 위한 노력이 필요하다. 화재의 발생 원인 중 케이블 자체에서 발생하는 경우는 단락, 누전, 과전류에 의한 발화 및 도체 접속부 과열, 절연체의 졀연 파괴에 의한 스파크 발생으로 인한 발화가 대부분이다. 지하 공동구의 특성에 의해 발생하는 이러한 원인을 조기에 찾아내기 위해서 지하 공동구는 영상분석을 활용한 감지 시스템을 통해 재난 및 안전사고 방지를 위한 상시 관리를 하기 위한 노력을 하고 있으며, 이 중에서 CCTV 기반의 딥러닝 영상분석 기술을 적용한 화재 감지 시스템 개발사례가 보고되고 있다. 하지만 CCTV의 경우는 사각지대가 존재하기 때문에 이를 좀 더 보완하기 위해서 스파크 발생으로 불꽃이 발생하기 전 스파크 소리를 사전에 감지해 화재 예방을 할 수 있는 고성능의 음향 기반 딥러닝 모델을 개발하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 마이크 센서를 이용하여 지하 공동구 환경에서 음향을 수집을 할 수 있는 방안을 프로토타입 모듈 개발과 실험을 통해 제안하며, 결로가 많은 지하 공동구 환경에서 음향 센서를 배치하고 기능 이상 없이 실시간으로 정보 수집 여부에 대한 가능성을 검증한다.

회피비용을 고려한 EGEAS 모형 개발과 전원개발계획의 최적화 (A Modified EGEAS Model with Avoided Cost and the Optimization of Generation Expansion Plan)

  • Pubilc utility industries including the electric utility industry are facing a new stream of privatization com-petition with the private sector and deregulation. The necewssity to solve now and in the future power supply and demand problems has been increasing through the sophisticated generation expansion plan(GEP) approach con-sidering not only KEPCo's supply-side resources but also outside resources such as non-utility generation(NUG) demand-side management (DSM). Under the environmental situation in the current electric utility industry a new approach is needed to acquire multiple resources competitively. This study presents the development of a modified electric generation expansion analysis system(EGEAS) model with avoided cost based on the existing EGEAS model which is a dynamic program to develope an optimal generation expansion plan for the electric utility. We are trying to find optimal GEP in Korea's case using our modified model and observe the difference for the level of reliabilities such as the reserve margin(RM) loss of load probability(LOLP) and expected unserved energy percent(EUEP) between the existing EGEAS model and our model. In addition we are trying to calculate avoided cost for NUG resources which is a criterion to evaluate herem and test possibility of connection calculation of avoided cost with GEP implementation using our modified model. The results of our case study are as follows. First we were able to find that the generation expansion plan and reliability measures were largely influenced by capacity size and loading status of NUG resources, Second we were able to find that avoided cost which are criteria to evaluate NUG resources could be calculated by using our modified EGEAS model with avoided cost. We also note that avoided costs were calculated by our model in connection with generation expansion plans.
