The National Archives of Korea and other archives now provide services through social media such as Facebook or Twitter, and use such platforms to interact with users. To be specific, users communicate with and get information from these archives via the National Sinmoongo, the place for civil petition. Therefore, it is significant to understand the users' needs and the contents of the communication by analyzing the comments and petitions that have appeared in these channels. For this, this study analyzed users' perceptions and information needs shared through social media and the National Sinmoongo of the National Archives of Korea. The social media content analyzed here were posts and comments from the Facebook accounts of the National Archives of Korea, e-Record, the Busan Archives, and the Presidential Archives of Korea. Also, sentences containing the words "National Archives of Korea" and "Presidential Archives of Korea" that have appeared in texts in the National Sinmoongo were analyzed. Based on the analysis results, suggestions that could activate the user-centered archival information services in the archives and records centers were made.

In order to effectively provide science, technology, engineering, and medicine (STEM) information, an analysis of information users' needs and understanding of information usage behavior must be preceded. Rapid changes and developments in information and communication technologies and the environment have greatly influenced the user's information usage environment. Based on the changes and characteristics of users' information use and their information needs analysis, active design and improvement of scientific and technical information service system is needed. For this study, a total of 816 participants participated: 204 people in four main contents (papers, reports, trends, and patents) through significant allocation extraction for STEM information users. A survey was conducted to grasp the status of the use of science and technology information using quantitative methods through online surveys for users of each content (papers, reports, trends, patents). Based on the analysis results, the implications for the improvement of STEM field information system were drawn.

The purpose of this study is to find out users' preference of the shares community space(SCS) for the Community Design. For this, it was analyzed the residents' behavior characteristics of the current multi-family housing and the residents' needs of the SCS. This study focused on seeking out the user-oriented design criteria for the planning of the SCS. The survey was carried out with a structured questionnaire including sketch map from Aug. 13, 2001 to Sept. 14, 2001. The subjects were housewives who's living in Haeuondae of Busan, Korea. Total number of 650 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. Especially 439 cases among them were used for analysis of mental map. The SPSS PC＋ was used for the analysis of data. The results of this study are as follows : First, as to the users' behavior for the SCSs, there is a difference in the location of residents' activities by contents of them. And, the range of these locations categorized according to levels of spacial cognition for neighborhoods. Second, as to the analysis of the SCS through a mental maps, it was shown that the residents' pathway and the residents' location are main variables to be considered in the SCS planning. The preferred location of SCS is organized according to the character of the SCS; the one for most residents, is located the surrounding of main enterance or the center of the housing complex, and the one the neighbors living in the same or the near building is located in area of the block of resident buildings. Third, as the results of residents' needs analysis, the SCS has the meaning of community facilities. And there is a difference in the degree of necessity and in the preferred location according to character of the SCS. In detal, for the indoor SCS of a resident building, there is a difference in the preferred location according to the kinds of each SCS. And for the outdoor SCS, it is necessary to divide the planning zone of the SCS into 3 steps(the resident building, the block of resident buildings, and the housing complex).

Public libraries should plan and provide services that satisfy various needs of the local community users. In order to understand library users, it is essential first to grasp the service areas of libraries. The current service areas of public libraries are primarily set based on administrative boundaries of the areas where the libraries are located, which limits the consideration of actual user access patterns to the libraries. In this study, we aim to create service areas that incorporate the transportation and geographical characteristics of the library's surroundings and reflect the access patterns of library users. Specifically, we utilized street network data from 502 libraries in 7 metropolitan cities to determine the travel distance and time from user locations, considering gradients, to the libraries. Subsequently, we applied the shortest path algorithm to generate service areas within a 30-minute walking or driving range. As a result, we confirmed that there are differences in the service area patterns of libraries depending on topographical factors, and this better reflects the realistic conditions of library access compared to service areas based on straight-line distances. This method of generating service areas contributes to a more accurate understanding of library users' numbers, characteristics, and needs.

This research developed integrated service assessment index on satisfaction with road use in consideration of not only quantitative parts, such as the existing traffic speed and delay but also qualitative parts, such as traffic information and traffic safety, etc. The newly devised assessment index developed assessment items and weight using ANP analysis method through the existing research results and questionnaire survey on traffic experts and road users. To verify the developed assessment index, this research measured the feeling degree of road users in time of their driving and analyzed the reasons using the brain waves tester; as an analysis result, the speed shown in the existing assessment index was found to have a 35% effect and further, the factors, such as traffic safety and traffic information were also found to have a lot of effects on the road $users^{\circ}{\emptyset}$ feeling degree. Accordingly, the integrated assessment index suggested by this research has its significance in that it is available to assessment in view of users rather than the existing satisfaction with the service in road use, and this index was developed to reflect the needs of the times, such as a fine view of roads, traffic information, and traffic safety.

Much research has been conducted on user behavior by taking surveys and interviews to plan the green space effectively. However, there is a limitation in understanding detailed user characteristics such as personalities and values. This study applied the Persona-based Scenario Method (PSM) to Hongneung Experimental Forest to understand the detailed needs and behaviors of the users in the forest recreation area. The PSM is a user experience modeling technique, which tries to understand the users by describing the type of users as real people. This study 1) extracts the factors of visitor recreation activities in Hongneung Experimental Forest based on the results of the survey, 2) develops user personas based on the results of survey and comes up with activity factors, and 3) designs user scenarios. As a result of applying the PSM, 64 factors of visitor activities were derived from the observation survey in 14 sites of Hongneung Experimental Forest and 25 key factors of visitor activities were chosen through observer's brainstorming. Second, three types of personas were developed considering the key factors and the results of user characteristics with quantitative and qualitative analysis. Lastly, context scenarios were designed by applying the key factors of visitor recreation activities to the persona model. We identified the design problems of the space and design requirements through the scenarios. This study has significance in that it takes an approach from the user perspective and was applied to the forest recreation area, which was mainly used in product design. The developed personas could be used for deriving design elements and setting the direction for planning considering detailed needs, behaviors and characteristics of users.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of teacher-librarians' autonomy support on the school library users' satisfaction and continuance intention. Based on SDT(self-determination theory), it focuses on the mediating effect of BPN(basic psychological needs) between the autonomy supports and the satisfaction of the school library users. A survey was administered to 331 middle school students and the research model was examined by using regression analysis and Hayes' parallel multiple mediator model. The findings show that the teacher-librarians' support for autonomy directly and indirectly has a positive effect on the students' satisfaction with the school library, and perceived autonomy and competence among the sub-factors of basic psychological needs are found to have a significant mediating effect between the support of the librarian's autonomy and satisfaction with the school library. In addition, students' satisfaction with the school library shows a significant effect on the continuance intention. This study is meaningful in that it presents the role of teacher-librarians as a factor affecting students' motivation to use school libraries and provides implications for revitalizing school libraries.

The near future smart ubiquitous computing oriented system will have to provide the optimal (right) service through interactions between users and the system. To provide the right services what the user needs, we should choose the user-centered development for reflecting the user needs, but not the developer-centered development. To do this, we proposed User Behavior Analysis Based Needs Extraction Method [1]. In this paper, we propose Object Extraction and Modeling Method from the user requirements with Fillmore's Case Grammar.

This study suggested a plan to facilitate the use of research sources in Musicology based on examining information needs of researchers in the field and the status of using the sources. Through in-depth interviews of domestic researchers in Musicology, this study collected and analyzed the researchers' information needs, the status of utilizing the sources, perceived values of the sources and opinions about problems and solutions related to using the sources. Predicated on the analysis, the study noted the plan to facilitate the use of research sources in Musicology in three aspects. First, it is necessary to collect comprehensively and systematize the research sources. Second, education and promotion of the sources to users should be provided. Third, training music librarians and collaborating among the librarians and associated institutions are needed. The study can be used as a basis to effectively provide information and services developed by research institutions relating to Musicology and institutions of art and culture that effectively provide information.

Purpose: This study was undertaken to identify the effects of a camp-type group counseling program based on the self-determination theory, for controlling smartphone usage amongst university students. The program consisted of smartphone overdependence, basic psychological needs, and adaptation to college life. Method: This was a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design (pre-test and post-test design). A total of 38 freshmen (17 experimental and 21 control) participated in the study. Experimental subjects attended a two nights and three days camp, where the group counseling program included meetings for basic psychological needs (eg., autonomy, competence, and relatedness). Results: This study showed significant differences in basic psychological needs (Z=-2.91, p=.003) and adaptation to college life (Z=-3.47, p<.001). Although no significant difference was obtained in the degree of smartphone overdependence (p=.194), mean score of the experimental group pre-test and post-test changed from the level of potential risk users to general users. Conclusion: The current findings indicate that by considering the basic psychological needs and adaptation to college life, our program could be an effective intervention for controlling smartphone usage amongst college students. Therefore, we propose that a camp-type counseling program could be considered for application as group therapy for programs associated with preventing smartphone overdependence.
